Well, from what I've heard in other forums, all of the Baroness' costume artwork had the character appear with black hair and glasses. So, it's entirely possible that she later dyes her hair when she becomes the Baroness.

Actually a ninjato (the sword stereotypically used by ninjas) is much shorter than a katana, so as to be more practical in enclosed areas such as corridors, etc.

The costumes look absolutely great and so far the cast seem to fit their parts.

I haven't kept touch with GI Joe since I was a kid watching the animated series on Sky, I want to be open minded about the film.

I looking forward to seeing the Destro and CC masks of all the set costumes, but i assume that most of the Joes will dress in black and have suits similar to Scarletts, which makes sense for them.

I think we'll get the variety when it comes to the Cobra gear.

Edit: just wanted to add. All these black on black official pics make things a little hard to make out. I just noticed she in fact is holding a cross bow, and not a gun. Same with SE, hard to make out the costumes details.

If we get a Destro picture with his trade mark mask then it will probably be right before the movie comes out. Because unless they changed the script he dosen't get the mask until the last 5 minutes in the movie, if that. So it will most likely be a big reveal come the time of the release.

I hate the vast majority of these costumes. It appears that just about everyone is in Cobra. One of the cool things about Snake-Eyes get up (when the series debuted) was that he was such a visual contrast to the other Joes. Now, most of them look alike.

I kind of dig the update of Storm Shadow, though since hes not wearing a mask and Shake-Eyes has the Arashikage symbol on his arm, there should be an immediate recognition between the two.

How much black-wearing was there in Cobra? Cobra Commander always had a blue outfit, as did the Cobra soldiers, then you had the Crimson Guard who wore red.

I'll say that Duke's costume should be more in line with what they've done with Hawk, minus the jacket and beret.

The only major issue I'm having is Snake Eyes' mask. Now that we see more detailed pics, one; the visor looks like clear cheap plastic, and two; why does it look like his mask has a mouth? Seriously, it looks like they just painted the lower half of Park's face black. Which is creepy lookin'.

I have to say, I'm diggin' the redesign of Storm Shadow. The basic white ninja outfit is a little too cliched at this point, and I like how they've done it, here. The coat is fantastic.

Baroness is fine, but where are the secretary glasses??!?! Naughty Secretary Glasses!!!

And anyone else finding the model playing Cover Girl the least of attractive of the female cast members? Kind of ironic, in my opinion.

I say the Joes look like Cobra members because blue would translate to black a little better on film, and the Joes were generally wearing normal armed forces outifts (unbless they were going for Eco Warriors Flint). I remember when I first bought Snake Eyes as a kid, i thought he was in Cobra til I read the file card. Now his look is pretty much the same as Ripcords...which makes no sense whatsoever.

honestly my only "complaints" are that stormshadow doesnt have a mask but i understand that these pics taken for the action figures are not solid evidence that he will not have in in the movie....who knows, maybe he starts off without it and snake eyes jacks his face up, leaving the mask for the sequel.

Maybe it was a design necessity to allow Park to breathe while in the suit? I mean, the material looks a little too thick and dense to actually breathe through without an actual hole. Personally, I thought that would've been more of a sign that it's the wrong material and changed it (can anyone say cloth balaclava and polo-neck?) but I guess this was apparently the solution they preferred.

In my humble opinion this movie is headed for the graveyard right from the start. Transformers sucked in YOUR opinion. Don't be foolish by treating it like was the general consensus. If you want to really worry about a movie,then worry about Dragonball Z. IMO G.I Joe will at least be much better than that thing.

You know I was wondering about that.

Sometimes things are exagerated on a costume in order for the final image on film to have a certain look.

Maybe they want Snake to have a hint at a mouth shape like some of the comics drawings so they over exagerated it on the actual costume.

With these photos we are not seeing the final product. Just snapshots from filming. the final film could be greatly different. I note how the mouth did not show up like that in the publicity stills.

Yeah - I guess if he smiles in the comics, you kind of get the impression he is by a tweak of the mask. Same for Spidey and his eyes impossibly enlarging when he's surprised and narrowing when he's about to beat the hell out of someone who messed with his family or something. It's all about lighting and resolution. One is a defined and produced publicity shot where the other is a candid behind the scenes snap shot on set.

As I said above they might not have any intention of the mouth showing up that defined on film... That it's over exagerated on the actual costume for filming.
