I have the Original Motion Picture Score and the Expanded Score, but none of those albums have the songs I'm looking for. For instance, they are both lacking the Train Fight sequence, the part where Bruce spray-paints the suit and the part where Bruce prepares to get into the Batsuit just after Rachel leaves for Arkham.

those are so minimal though. are they really necessary?

Mr. Superhero

are they really necessary?
Apparently not.

But, in all actuality, if you listen to the IMAX preview (the behind-the-scenes look), the piece behind Bruce preparing to get into the Batsuit is used as the background score for that, and it sounded like a pretty lengthy cue. As for the other two songs; the train fight piece is also quite lengthy, going by the film at least. The spraying of the Batsuit could at least have been mixed into one of the current soundtracks so...what's the big deal?

Various users on here claim to have the Complete Motion Picture Score, but are incapable of uploading it, supposedly.

Yeah, on a more serious note; it is also my least favorite Star Wars film, closely followed by The Phantom Menace. But I was totally buying into Yoda using a lightsaber. That moment in the movie always gives me goosebumps, and you have to take into consideration that you are talking to a fully certified Star Wars geek.

The OT far supersedes the PT, though.

indeed. and i also agree about phantom menace being a close second there.

i like revenge of the sith. i thought it was pretty good. still pales in comparison to the worst of the OT (which would be the second half of jedi).

i wouldn't say i'm a full-blown geek for anything. i'm geek enough for all the things i like. i LOVE batman, but i still don't own or read all the books. i can hold my own in a batman and a star wars convo, but i don't know everything.

Wait -- the second half of ROTJ? Not the first half? 'Cos the second half of ROTJ is arguably the best advert for Star Wars out of all six films (The Emperor/Vader/Luke scenes, that is).

ROTS is a fantastic movie, IMO. That's the film that did it for me. I was never a Star Wars fan until I saw that.

Empire was about as perfect an action/scifi film could have been. It will stand the test of time I think.

A big reason for that was the director that they had at the time. I wish they had brought him back for ROTJ. It would have been a far different movie.

Ah, yes -- the Ewoks were a massive let-down. I thought you were generalizing about the entire second half of the movie. But, yeah, the first-half is reasonably good. At least it had one of my favorite shots in the entire saga, where Luke enters Jabba's Palace in the Vader-like silhouette. Now that was the type of cinematography that completely blew everyone away in Empire Strikes Back. It's just a shame Lucas never really rekindled that magic touch in the PT...

yeah. lucas isn't much of a director really. he's ok. just like he's an ok screenwriter. he just has great ideas and great stories. but when it comes to dialogue and direction, he kinda lacks.

yeah. well the problem with lynch was that lynch wanted full control. and i don't think they'd give it to him. so he did dune instead. and we all see how that turned out. he should have done ROTJ.

I don't know what happened to Lucas, because we can't forget that he directed the original Star Wars film, and that was a truly great piece of cinema. The first two PT films, though; fall short, don't they? I think Lucas just became too obsessed with CGI and now he's really starting to milk it, what with the upcoming animated movie, which is a complete and utter waste of time, IMO.

yeah. i don't know. he does love cgi. and it looks good, but most of his is superfluous.

funny thing is, lucas' career almost went in an entirely different direction. he used to be politically savvy. he was going to film apocalypse now. and it was going to be a faux documentary shot in south vietnam, to be shot and released WHILE the war was still going on. a pretty radical idea. but then he started filming star wars. so that changed.

The CGI was horrible in AOTC. It's quite hard to believe that virtually every scene was shot in a green-colored room. It seems Lucas forgot that one of the strongest things to come out of the OT was the fact that every set was real -- not just a green room with a few actors thrown in. I think that's the inherent problem with the PT: it's too cartoony, AOTC in particular.

And that's a very fateful story, indeed.

yeah, i saw it in theatres and ill never watch it again. no point. i didnt like it. and yeah, the PT is cartoony, and that's not cool. i don't like phantom menace much either, besides the cool lightsaber duel.

But you see, that's why Lucas is such a good businessmen. He crammed the PT with as much CGI as possible because that's the cheapest route. He then told his films on and made a fortune. Ergo, he made one hell of a profit.

No good for cine goers such as ourselves, but good enough for Lucas, it would seem.

Well, I'm lead to believe that CGI is way cheaper. I mean, just look at the Clonetroopers in ROTS. They're all animated -- the difference being that the Jango Fett guy had his head copy and pasted onto the neck of the Clonetroopers.

yeah. i mean in that case, using cg for a crowd scene rather than clothing, feeding and paying a bunch of extras, it might be cheaper.

but for example, a movie like transformers (:whatever:) more than half the budget is the cg because of how many hours it takes to render it. so if it takes 8 man hours to render a single frame (which is probably an exaggeration), it ends up costing a lot. but again, transformers was 150 million budget and 100 million was probably for cgi. that's a whole lot.

but i know what you mean. it really depends on what you're doing. sometimes you save, sometimes you spend. know what i mean?

Itchy throats and aching joints are worse, but who's complaining.:whatever:

Thanks Anita and Lucha, I'll do every thing I can to get better; I've already missed three days of school because of this damn on and off flu.:cmad: :csad:

But besides dying ol' me, how are you guys doin'?
Itchy throats are more annoying. The stuffed nose with dry throat is the worst since you have to breathe through your mouth since your nose is stuffed....but it only makes your throat feel worse. :oldrazz:

I wouldn't know about the aching joints though - I've never been sick like that, so it makes me suspect that I've never had the flu.

I'm lucky though. I'm an introverted hermit, I have a very small work group, and I don't work with kids. Protects me from a lot of nasty bugs.

I was surprised how many jocks are nerds. This probably has to do with the fact that all the stuff that's nerdy now is nostalgia to the current 20-30 age group. Back in the eighties/ninties, it was adults getting into stuff people deemed kiddish/weird/nerdy, but now it's stuff we all grew up with making it acceptable.

So old army guy hitting on this 14 year-old via Facebook, I've taken it upon myself to show this 34 year old serving in Iraq that IT IS NOT okay to hit on 14.. Also, I love being a dick to anyone in a Uniform.
14-year-olds can be insanely stupid, so he should definitely know better. Says a lot about him if he's going after women so much younger than he is. :oldrazz:

Eww, why would you want to do that?:csad:

Comic book stores smell of geeks from the backroom playing Dungeon and dragons eating pork rinds all day.
Depends on the store. I've been in cool comic book stores where everyone's nice and friendly, and I've been in others where they do stay in the back and play games all day.
