Why because you are backstage at a show? I'm sorry I just don't believe you, there is a chance yeah you could be telling the truth but I don't think you would actually post from a laptop during the middle of a show. i highly recomend (re?)reading it. the story is much better and the pacing allows for depper characterization of pretty much everybody. but aside from not being as intresting as the book, the character models didn't translate well, the animation (save for a few very nice spots) was spotty, and the voice acting seemed to be all phoned in. while sisto's voice could potentialy be a good one for batman, he conveyed no emotion at any point in the movie.

My recomendation is to just figure out what you want to say in English and then start going in French from there. If you need to use google translation or something to find some words, thats cool because it's helping you learn (although I wouldn't depend on it for translating whole sentences). You could also look for a french chatroom or board as well if you really want to practice.

anywho folks I have to go. Night all! A bientot!

No. You have to prevent the king from being able to move at all. Sure, you can move in a fashion corresponding to his own, and continuaously put him in check, but that's not checkmate. As it is, he can move anywhere but forward or backward to get out of check.

My point exactly!!!! Would your rather live the life you're living now, or live in some post apocolyptic earth in a cave with gigantic ******* robots trying to kill you?

And why couldn't the Matrix set specific preferences to the program like: being in an early time period where there are no telephones and or atleast send Agent Smith to whack Alexander Graham Bell.

Hey - I want to ask a quick favor, here - can someone make part of this clip into a gif for me? (all three sizes - just in case :cwink:)

bTi0A3BF0i4

The parts I want are at 4:19-31 and 5:15-24 in the video. (two different gifs, of course)

I would appreciate it greatly :woot::woot::woot:

you live in Pennsylvania? For some reason I thought you were a Los Angelino like Clown and Jimmy.
I have ninja'd under your LA radar!

:ninja:

I don't really think you give off the vibe of a typical L.A. person.

unless you're really into yoga, pretending to know famous people, and tofu.
I know a bunch of people here, and none of them give off that vibe. Everyone's a wannabe writer. :oldrazz:

Currently trying to coordinate flights with my sister, so we can attend our cousin's college graduation which takes place at 9 effin' 15 AM on a Thursday. Figures.

Could someone please tell me how to quote a news article? I normally just copy and paste them, but I've seen several people post an article in a big blue box, as if it was a quote from someone on the board.

EDIT: Does it work like this?

Superhero Summer: Batman
Today 11:00

Summer 2008 sees the long awaited return of Batman after the success of Batman Begins in 2005 in The Dark Knight.

Christian Bale returns as the caped crusader as well as Michael Caine, Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman are also reprising their roles of Alfred Pennyworth, Lucius Fox and Lieutenant Gordan.

Director Christopher is also back behind the camera with an estimated budget of $150 million.

Comment on this Article
The Dark Knight is set two years after Batman Begins and Batman and Gordan have teamed up with District Attorney Harvey Dent to help catch the Joker who's crimes are becoming more deadly. unleashing a fresh reign of chaos across Gotham City.

To stop this devious new menace, Batman's most personal and vicious enemy yet, he will have to use every high-tech weapon in his arsenal and confront everything he believes as well as travelling across the world in his quest to fight a growing criminal threat

As well as this Batman aka Bruce Wayne and Gordan are trying to clean up the streets of Gotham by trying to re-capture those freed at the end of the first movie, this includes Crane/Scarcrow despite Cillian Murphy not being named on the cast list.

The movie which is still being shot has been filmed in Chicago and London with rumours that they will go on to film in Los Angeles, Baltimore and Hong Kong.

Prior to the casting of Heath Ledger, a surprise choice, Paul Bettany, Adrien Brody, Robin Williams and Lachy Hulme had all publicly announced that they were interested in the role of the Joker.

As well as Ledger Aaron Eckhart and Maggie Gyllenhaal have joined the cast. Eckhart takes on the role of Attorney Harvey Dent who undergoes an acid drenched transformation into Two Face.

Maggie Gyllenhaal takes over from Katie Holmes who has apparently had a conflict in shooting schedules so cannot appear, in the role of Bruce Wayne's love interest Rachel Dawes.

And while sequels are often dismissed as merely money making ventures attempting to stretch an idea out for as long as possible even the most hardened critic will have trouble hiding their desire to see this picture.

Nolan appears to be taking the franchise, which is most definitely what Batman has become, in a very dark direction, particularly in respect to the character of the Joker.

While Nicholson played the character for laughs with one of the best villain performances Ledger's take on Batman's legendary foe is a far more sinister one.

'Jack’s Joker was a very nasty old uncle this Joker is a murderous, psychopath and when you see the make up it looks like he is mentally gone, and he puts the make-up on to disguise himself for the raids, and he never takes it off again and gradually it looks like leprosy.' explained Michael Caine during an interview when he was promoting Sleuth.

However events in recent months have made the film even more anticipated after the death of Heath Ledger. The Dark Knight is definitely the film to see this summer.

The Dark Knight is released July 25.

Nope, that didn't quite work the way I meant.

EDIT: I'm just trying to figure this out, so if anyone has seen the above news before, doesn't matter. I'm just using it as a sample, to try and work out how this works. That kinda worked, only I've seen articles quoted looking like they appear on the website itself, rather than just a lot of plain text. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Anyone else fans of the Adam West show?

I f'n LOVE it! Cesar Romero was so awesome as the Joker! Seriously, he was more Jokerish than Jack was and had the perfect laugh:D

Greatest. Movie. Ever. My dad loved it when he was a kid, and I have probably seen it 100 times (mostly in my youth).

The show is fan-freaking-tastic. I believe it came on Nickelodeon when I was a kid, but at one point I had every episode recorded on VHS (God bless the 80s).

Are you watching an episode with Egghead as the villain? If not, find one. Vincent Price is ridiculously awesome.

King Tut was another good villain. Look for him as well.
