I think there is plenty we can do for him, but it's going to take a little effort and time. I understand what you are saying and he may even be that kind of person, but still this is not a laughing matter; joke or not. And I know you're not taking it like that. Me and a friend of mine are doing what we can to get a little bit more into depth about this situation and we could use all the help we can get.
But I mean, if he actually did do something to himself, we can't help him because we are not there.

This reminds me of the time one of my friends in Nor Cal started IMing me when she was totally drunk, saying how she had been throwing up and felt really sick. I was like, "Pleeeease, call someone to look after you!" cause I didn't want her to choke on her vomit or something if she passed out. And it was frightening because I was 400 miles away and I could not do anything if something happened to her. What could I do, call 911 and ask them to check on someone across the state? Luckily I kept IMing her to keep her awake until a friend got there and then everything was okay. But man, it gave me a scare.

Yes, we can PM him and support him and everything, but who knows what his real motivations are. Is he lying to us about his suicidal thoughts? If not and we talk and reason with him, will he lie to make us feel better and do something to himself anyway? We have no idea.

Plus, we are no mental health professionals. The best move for him, if he's serious, would be to call a suicide hotline where they're trained to handle that sort of thing.

Suicide is not wrong, it's horrendously sad. It's the horrific culmination of a tragic mental illness. A fatal mental illness.

This is a very sad night for the hype, and i hope it was only a cry for help.

Please guys, i'm getting really upset over this. It's closer to home for me cos this guy is in ireland too.

Please be considerate, if not for him then for your other friends on here.

If someone is depressed enough to commit suicide, they're inclined to be more inwardly focused - they tend to not tell people about it; let alone posters on a forum whom they could care less about.


my housemate went to school with a guy named William Friend. This guy went onto computer message boards trying to make friends. he could not. so he posted that he would murder people and then kill himself. well, what do you know, he dressed up in DARTH VADER costume, went to a girl's home he knew, went inside, killed her and her entire family and then committed suicide. Dont you dare tell me that people who commit suicide dont take the time to tell strangers on the internet about it. you obviously would prefer to just ignore something like this rather than take it seriously....

My sister died of Cystic Fibrosis when she was 12. When I think of how she struggled to live and how some people would just end their life... it makes me very angry.

awesome lucha, ive been admiring your stuff for a while now. good job. and while im at it, i liked that wrestler mask a lot.

what do u think of the snyder's costume design? i think its awesomely appropriate, although i would imagine the actual straight adaptation of the costumes working too somehow although its aesthetically campy spandex and not armor. in batman, i dont think u could pull off the spandex in a big budget fulllength, but with watchmen i somehow think u might be able to...oh well im satisfied with the design, i think that 300 WAS a faithful adaptation, and with that ill say i didnt like either the comic or the movie that much. if watchmen is a faithful adaptation, it should do a lot better since the comic's substance is much richer.
