People say they love my smile/laugh, but I dislike both. Hm. Either way, thank you very much.
My grandma was coming in the door right as we finished it which is why he rushed into his pants, making him do the "no-pants dance", haha.
And I agree, dead or alive, Heathybby deserves that Oscar!!!
:yay:
Oh dear, you are far to sweet.
I'm taking it Grandma wasn't happy was she? I'll be celebrating by grandma's birthday tonight, which I'm sure will be fun; sucks though, didn't have enough money to get her a gift.:csad:
Being a sweet guy has usually been my thing (with the exception of my brother:cmad:), but I will say you're sweeter though.:yay:

Hey guys, sorry if this is off track but I never did my tribute to Heath until a momment ago. I wouldn't fit in my signature, so I figure if no one minds, I'll just show you guys..........and to the beautiful dP.:yay:
A Tribute to Heath
Narrated by Your Humble Clown Prince and quote from Watchmen
Rorshach's Journal. October 16th, 1985
"Heard joke once:
Man goes to doctor. Says he's depressed. Says life seems harsh and cruel. Says he feels all alone in a threatening world where what lies ahead is vague and uncertain. Doctor says "Treatment is simple. Great clown Pagliacci is in town tonight. Go and see him. That should pick you up." Man bursts into tears. Says "But Doctor... I am Pagliacci.
Good Joke
Everybody Laugh.
Roll on Snare Drum.
Curtains."
R.I.P. Heath Ledger, you made us all believers. :csad:

So how does us getting a feeling of the premise of the story through the trailer and not really caring give make us batfans who are ignorant?
Trailers are suppose to give a sample of the movie. Tickets are expensive, and if I went to every movie because I thought that the trailer doesn't do the movie justice; then I am going to be one poor disappointed fella.

Using blinders is an implication of us being ignorant. That is the whole function of a blinder.
Also I was pretty excited about it because I knew nothing of it so far. I am excited about Iron Man and they didn't have to practically narrate the whole story to draw me in.
Also Marvel has had a long streak recently of making very poor movies. If the trailer doesn't convince me why would I want to go then?

Actually I hated Captain America before I read Ed Brubakers(sp) series on Captain America now I just love him. Though I don't think you can ever get a movie like that. I try to go see all superhero or comic movies (Hellboy turned out to be one of my favorite movies and I had never read a single comic of his).....there are some I miss simply because I have a hard time making it to the movies these days.
I would love to see a good Captain America movie....but I just don't have high hope that it will even really get started.

i would say get well soon, but **** that! get well now!!! or don't, there's really no difference to me
I say no to Damon because Jason Bourne was exactly like that. He was a weapon more or less. Lets get someone else like Guy Pierce...nah he is too skinny.

Cap needs to be someone young....18-21. That's the typical age of someone entering the military. When WWII started....a variety of ages joined up, but they were mostly young (even had a lot of kids as young as 15 faking their age and joining). If the government was going to pick a test subject to do strange new "Super Soldier" experiments on....they would want someone young (for the same reason they always want young people....they are more easy to get to take orders).
So....you need some young actor in good shape to play Cap once the Super Soldier formula takes effect.

you need someone distinguished, that's more important than age. cap wasn't allowed to join the military, so that one isn't as important to me. cap just has to make you feel that you would follow him into battle anywhere, no matter what.

If you want to make a Cap movie that is halfway believable....you have to start with a young guy. An older established actor is not the way to go with his story.
Steve Rogers was a young patriotic but sickly kid. He was turned down by the various military groups until the guys who were looking for a test subject saw him. The Super Soldier formula not only made a human being stronger and more agile than the normal person....but it made it healthy. It was like rearranging his DNA and regrowing him.
For the movie....you would want to start out with someone like D.J.Qualls (not really him, he's too old now) as Steve....and as the experiment takes effect, you morph into a muscular "distinguished" young actor to take over the role.

you need someone late 20's early 30'ish. we're not seeing him right after he takes the serum, the first time we see him should be after he's been at war for a couple of years (remember, cap went to war before the US did) and war ages you faster
i cant think of anyone for C.America...

The serum keeps Cap young I thought, as in he ages very slowly. And mid 20's is about the right spot. He'd have been at war for a couple years... not 10.

personally i don't think we really need to see steve before the serum, i think it would have more impact if you had it vaugely hinted at early on, and then had him explain it to someone when he's recovered

WWII (for the Americans) was from Dec 7th 1941 to August 1945.There's not too much longer there where he could be fighting before the rest of the Americans. He wouldn't have actually been in any fighting in costume before the end of 1941....because the United States was not involved in any of the conflicts (and him being dressed in his uniform and called Captain America would have given away who he worked for).

Right....the serum slows down his aging process (in the 70's, Marvel explained how Nick Fury still looked so young by saying that he had recieved a blood transfusion from Cap on the battlefield, and it slowed his aging down too)...so Cap would look young all the time. Also.....the war only lasted 4 years for the Americans....and 6 years for the Europeans (Hitler invaded Poland and basicly started the war in Nov of 1939).
ah my life just got 100x better.
