I never saw the original, but I've seen some clips of it and Michael Pitt does a much better job than the original guy did.
If you liked that one, then you should probably see this one.

The same director did the American remake as well, so I think the main difference will be the actors.
Yeah, I hear the movie's are identical, shot-for-shot. Just different actors.

Yeah, you're right, it looks like it's following the original pretty closely, minus the Beavis and Butthead references present in the 1st one I suppose, which would probably sound a little dated by now. Also in the original one, the accomplice was chubby and the "german Michael Pitt" (don't know the actor's name) always mocked him for that, it doesn't seem to be the case in the remake. Definitely on my list of films to see with the ruins (I really liked the book).

Nope, the Beavis and Butthead references are still there! And Michael Pitt calls his accomplice "Tubby" and he gets pissed.

I see what you mean, and the german language doesn't help either (probably one of the main reasons why Haneke remade it in the 1st place so he would get a wider audience). Anyway, once the home invasion starts, the pace picks up and the movie grabs you by the throat till the end IMO. Not as powerful or genius as A clockwork orange but certainly as disturbing. An interesting look at violence in films and the way Hollywood depicts it.

and i thought it was really cool. it's not as solid as the descent, but man is it fun. it's pretty ambitious for a small budget and it has a big movie feel to it. i thought it was cool as hell. if you wanna go out and get entertained for 2 hours with some crazy ass action, you'll love it.

well the people who don't like anime generally seem to look at anime as a genre, when it's not. it's just the word in japanese that means "animation."
in fact, they probably call american cartoons anime as well (don't know for sure about that though.).
so all they are is japanese cartoons. or as everyone used to call it here "japanimation."
so they look at is as a genre and they characterize it by stereotypes and therefore hate the style of animation and certain aspects that are in some of the stories.
but i look at all cartoons individually. whether is be american, canadian, european, japanese, chinese, i don't care. it's a cartoon. and one might be good, and another might be bad.
i don't understand how somebody could write off the quality of an entire country's animation.
there is a lot of quality in anime out there as far as the craft of animation goes. no one can deny that as much as they try. and a lot of anime have great storytelling.
so i don't know, it's just a bias based on stereotypes. i don't watch a lot of anime. but there are a couple i like. and i like them because of their stories, or in the case of cowboy bebop, because of the production design, the atmosphere, the music, the characters AND the stories.

The other day I went over to me ma's house to cut down a tree, and right behind the tree were three newborn kittens. We waited all day for the mother to come back, and she never did. So we couldn't just leave them there. So my mom told me to keep them and I went out and bought a pet baby bottle and have been feeding them every 3-4 hours. It's killing my sleep schedule... but it has to be done.

...Stop translating and just learn it! or get someone who knows how to speak it very well tell you want to say!
Well. Shut up. I went to translate yours. And it says "you do my underpants to lift" which made me giggle.
And I'm no good with Russian!!!
French is my language mon ami.

I like to put it on random a lot, but my favorites are: Peach, Zelda, Lucario, Zero Suit Samus, and Ike
I used to be good with Link in Melee, but I can't play as well with him anymore.
I kind of do the same as well with random because it is more fun that way. Zelda/Shiek, Ike, Marth, Luigi, and Pit.
My friend is way too good with Diddy Kong, and whenever he loses with another character he always reverts to Diddy. Bastard.

I hate people that do that. I'm like that with Donkey Dong though. I can kick all kinds of ass with Donkey Kong. And Snake.

Yeah, it annoys me that he does that as well, but once I get his Diddy strategy, I will crush him.

Thank you once again, Matt :woot::woot::woot:
It took me a few days of work to figure out the chord progressions - I got the idea for the Harvey call after I figured how much work it would be to make it too elaborate (seeing as I have limited tools to work with). The timing between the call and the music managed to work perfectly, though - really cool effect :word:

Word. I've only played as Diddy once actually. I may start to tinker with him more.

I really love Meta-Knights moveset. But I need to get more used to him... I'm not all that good with him yet.
