Remind me to never read anyone elses review of a movie ever again, people are f_cking daffy...
I'm reading reviews of Hard Candy(arguably one of the most well made movies of the past five years in my opinion) on netflix and a disturbing number of people are giving it bad reviews, heres an example:
This is the absolute WORST movie we have ever seen. The plot could be interesting, but this movie is over the top and has no virtue. It's completely disturbing.
1.How the hell am I supposed to know who 'we' is?
2.OMG you can't take the awful disturbing movie:csad: ever heard of this?
RATED R - For disturbing violent and aberrant sexual content involving a teen, and for language
Heaven forbid you might check something like that before watching a movie.
so many people comment on how 'boring' the movie is...these are what I like to call the 'Michael Bay' type of movie goer, who view anything without explosions as being un-interesting.

Yikes, are we really talking about Uwe Boll?
I just like saying his name out loud, it sounds cool. "The name's Uwe... Uwe Boll! *toothy grin*"

As for the new trailer, I have no clue when it'll appear. Some people have been mentioning May. Personally I'd like to see it sooner but maybe the viral will bring us other goodies like the usual photos and not a trailer (saving best for last, so to speak).

I think someone on the boards made a great point about video game movies: The accessibility.
I think the main demographic are mostly made of males, ranging from 18 to 30ish. Or something like that.
I think with studios, they see that. However, they would bring in hack directors to their dirty deeds.
then again..
..Final Fantasy didn't work too well as movies for some odd reasons. (Visually they're great. that's it) And they were made by square!
Some scary LOLcats worthy of page 666.

Wish Peter didn't cut his, it looked great in the first season. I mean, I didn't like it because it was "EMO" but because it looked nice on him and fitted him.
Though I see why they went with a shorter hairstyle now as the character's supposed to be maturing/growing up...

I almost missed part of the weekly TDK filming reports last year due to Heroes hysteria. The show just consumes you completely.

*quoting* Curt and Steve have gotten into a prestigious college, but Curt is having second thoughts on the night before they're going to leave for the school. That night, Curt searches relentlessly for a spellbinding woman in a white T-Bird while Steve tries to patch things up with his girlfriend after suggesting they date other people while he's away. Their two other friends John and Terry also have a wild night, John when he's forced to chauffer a little girl and Terry when he borrows Steve's car and picks up a girl but then has trouble living up to the expectations set by the car.
Of course there's more to it, but it's instantly one of George Lucas' greatest masterpieces.

Haha, I like how you included the bit about the nipples. The only nipples I ever saw on other people at work was when it was very cold and the poor folks obviously wore shirts that were too thin.
When I watched Rachel in Begins, it reminded me of that. She looked... cold. *chuckle*
I know it's rude to stare but it's really hard NOT to look at first. Ever saw that Oprah nipple incident? One time people in the audience pointed out to her that her nipples are showing through her pullover/shirt. It was after a few mins into the show. A cameraman (or a guest, I forget) leaned in and whispered something in her ear and she looked around surprised and asked: "My nipples are showing?" :woot: And the audience was like: "Yeah LOLZ". Haha!
I think the fabric was just too thin, as well as her bra I guess. It can be very embarrassing even when it doesn't happen on tv! I hope it never happens to me...

That would be cool. I'd love to go to a drive-in "cinema" that only screens oldies. You'd have waitresses on rollerskates, nostalgic music, some nice hotdogs, popcorn... And a great classic movie or old eps of Happy Days.
I'd probably dress up like a girl from the 60's, too (ponytail, huge pink skirt with a black poodle applique, white shirt with rolled up sleeves, and those comfy shoes). *sigh*
I'd probably dress up like Fonzie or Milner with the tuff lookin' Indian, greaser hair, and leather jacket.:word:

Ever tried doing this? It's the FREE HUGS campaign! :yay: This one's from a girl in Tokyo.
<object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/6HnKqE_Rgdk&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/6HnKqE_Rgdk&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
(Hope I posted the code correctly.)
At a LOTR con I got free hugs from pretty elven maidens, a Gandalf and a bunch of Hobbits. It was swell. The idea was incredibly popular. It wasn't me holding the sign but it was just as fun, after I've seen a few of those signs in the halls I just had to step up to the people and give them a hug.
Everybody needs a hug. :yay:
