Well I have never seen this one so it would be that guy in the station at Wayne Tower and it would say, " Thanks for stating the obvious" if you can make that go for it. I think it could work nicely in many occasions.
Damn - I'd have to break out BB for that...
Here's a temp version:

Whee, I'm at work and I can barely see any photos. :oldrazz:
Figuring out if I should go to the 2009 World Figure Skating Championships, since they're here in LA. Booo $$$$$$ all-event ticket prices though. I might splurge on single event tickets to just see the men at this rate. Not to mention there's gestapo security at US arenas that I wouldn't want to bother with for long.
At least it's only ticket prices and gas for me. I have a friend in NYC who wants to come, and it's a cross-country flight for her. At least she can crash at my place so she wouldn't have to worry about a hotel. :yay:

Just imagine the various Joker and Batman "macros" we'll be getting on the boards when the movie comes out. And then the dvd. SHH might consider getting a better server because this place is gonna explode. :woot:
Can't wait to see Joker in the city at night. Like that street fight in the trailer, I just hope it's long enough... And the wait for the "Joker walk" is killing me!!

I agree. Both the film and that fight. I want it to have enough length you know. For me TDK is a movie that probably could never be too long lol.

I'm taking a similar course. Have only given one speech so far though and it was a cake walk, not as tough a subject as biodeisel I would imagine.

Yeah, I hope we're not in for a disappointment when it comes to Joker's screentime. Sometimes I feel low about it and think he's just gonna tear through the movie like Nolan suggested and then other times I get high hopes because it would be logical to give enough screentime to Batman's greatest villain. "Oh, Nolan's just teasing us, the clever devil! There's more of the Joker than he wants us to think!" SIGH.
The anticipation is killing me. I want my answer now, like some spoiled kid in a candy store! :yay:
I have not.

Oooh, I remember that. What a fantastic read. I'm glad the viral's getting some serious coverage.
To date, however, the "Dark Knight" campaign's master stroke has to be its clown-cake giveaway.
In July, specially defaced dollar bills advertising yet another "Dark Knight" Web domain, at www.whysoserious.com (http://www.whysoserious.com/) were handed out to fans at San Diego's Comic-Con. On the website, the Joker (Ledger in the film) offered Bat-aficionados the chance to become his henchmen with special prizes tempting those willing to carry out his off-line demands. These players gathered at a physical location to obtain a phone number that was written in the sky by a plane, and from there, they embarked on an elaborate scavenger hunt around the city. It all ended with a scene taken from the "Dark Knight" trailer -- a fan being abducted by "thugs" in a Cadillac Escalade and getting symbolically "murdered" by armed men who mistook the player for the Joker.
That really was the best part of the viral IMO. I got excited when the Joker phoned got renewed yet again LOL.
I liked the viral with the safe, too. We got the leaked Joker Empire cover the next day. Oh, how I love love that pic of him.

(Damn, SHH ate my comment. *types again*)
Great! It's nice to hear you're in good spirits!
I digged one critic's comment about Jim Carrey not overwhelming the movie for a change. I wouldn't have minded a crazier Carrey but the more laid-back, "normal" voice was actually in character for Horton, so it fit very nicely. Great voice acting there, Carrey just let the character guide the way instead of "Carrey-fying" him again. Even without the over-the-top voice acting, the humour was still present in everything Horton did.
Carrey's one of those people that never fail to make me laugh! I love ACE VENTURA: PET DETECTIVE. :woot: :woot: Re-e-eee-lllyyy.

I would have stood by the street all night if I had to, just to get a glimpse of Nolan and the actors (I'd have to get very lucky, though). And the action! The (spoilery) vids on Youtube are great.
Some people who saw the filming said lots of it was boring because it was just cars driving around and the scenes got shot over and over again but I would have loved to watch them anyway. Sure, it would be cool to see Bale or Heath walking by but any other scene would be fine.
Imagine yourself watching the dvd and recognizing the very scene you saw with your own eyes many months before!

To be completely honest, it'd be the gay role; now I have nothing against homosexuality what's so ever, but being a dude I don't wanna see men swappin' spit either. I love Heath Ledger and I thought he was great in Lords of Dogtown, A Knights Tale, the Brother's Grim, The Patriot, and so far no one on this earth could portray the Joker just as spectacular as he did. Once again, I don't wanna offend anyone here who's a fan of the movie because if you guys and gals like it I think that's great, but in my oppinion it's just one of Ledger's movies that really doesn't appeal to me.:yay:

Even though I'm not a fan of it either, I will agree with you there; from what I saw at the Oscars a while back Ledger portrayed that character wonderfully. And I love Ledger for that reason because he's probably one of the only actors that can really pick at a character's brain and somehow just make the character come to life; like so far what he's done with the Joker...........he's not Ledger anymore, he's just the Joker. And it really takes alot of talent to do so; it's something for all of us to admire.:yay: :word:

Thank you for being honest. It does look like a lot of guys feel the same way about Brokeback, they just keep their thoughts to themselves. Usually. They get a lot of negative reactions otherwise, it's just a sensitive issue.
I personally didn't even think about them as gay after the first third into the movie or so, they just looked like two people in love to me. The story was very sad and moving, I could have cried whenever Heath's character (Ennis) cried and very few movies evoke such emotion from me (I never cry at the cinema either). It was certainly a movie that made a lasting impression on me, I couldn't care less about Jack and Ennis' sexual orientation. :yay: I'd feel the same about a lesbian movie, it's just not an issue for me.
But thank you again for speaking honestly and without being a douche about it.
(Did you see Heath in I'm Not There? He looked so good there, probably at his best, and it's incredibly sad when you compare it to his tired and worn out look shortly before his death.)

 Well said. Sadly lots of people become giant douches when it comes to this subject. I respect people that can talk about it in a civil manner.
Speaking in general here, some people on the boards indeed take things way too seriously and you soon notice there are certain sensitive subjects... Or certain people nevel fail to respond to certain touchy subjects and get all riled up and nasty in the process.
I mean, if discussions about movies make people so angry, I'm curious how angry they get about real-life stuff! Anger issues like whoah.
(Most of people calm down considerably when they're older. This is why I think a LOT of members are in their teens/early 20's, or aren't that used to hearing different opinions in their daily life. Hence why they get soooo bothered when someone disagrees with them. I've read an essay on this subject once, it was very interesting. I wish I saved it, it went into fascinating detail. :yay: It suggested people that get all angry over little things when it comes to different opinions online, have probably been "sheltered" in life. Interesting. You could even say obvious...:wow:)

Truth's stranger than fiction, obviously.:cwink: But yeah, what you speak of does sound interesting; was it from like a psycology paper or something?:yay:
