meh. . .
um don't say meh because Dragonball will look very similar to this in terms of stunts and visuals.
Is the whole bullet-curving thing even remotely plausible, from a physics standpoint? Not that I'm not willing to suspend disbelief, I just genuinely want to know if there's anything about bullet trajectories to indicate if something like that would be possible.

I'll definitely check this thing out. The comic was cool, but I willing to see something different, too

I am not familiar with the plot so when the trailer first started (the 2nd one is the first I've seen) I was thinking 'so she's playing Lara Croft again' but then Freeman showed up and I thought 'hey, this might actually be good.'

I think I'll sit home and watch something that doesn't come across as totally ridiculous, which this looks to be.

ITS A MOVIE!!! a touch of realism with a touch of movie magic so lets not get too hellbent on it...
The movie looks entertaining like a cross between shoot 'em up and matrix/ultraviolet...I'll definately see it and not just for AJ neither :cwink:

I saw the trailer today at the movies and didn't think it was anything special. it seems like your average generic action with with matrix style effects.

Well, I saw the trailer on the big screen when I went to see "Forgetting Sarah Marshall" last Friday.
When my pregnant wife looks at the bullet scene and says, "Well, that looks ****in' stupid", that usually says it all. Also, the amount of laughter that came from the audience as the Viper did it's uber-flip onto the bus pretty much spelled out the ridiculousness of this crap-fest.
Seriously...a touch of the fantasitc is okay, but this looks incredibly just...well...dumb.

It's suppose to be a fantasy/action movie. :cwink:

yeah...:csad:
Not insulting you...but, yeah.
I'd be able to buy the curvy bullets moreso than side-flipping a 50% fiberglass Dodge Viper off of a bridge and landing it onto the side of a bus and then it jumping on to the ground without it being in utter shambles. There's just so much in that preview that screams "Matrix 4" that it hurts....mostly because it ignores the comic....but partially because of how bad Matrix 2 and 3 were...and the derivative films that followed it.

The more I see of this, the more I like. There are many elements taken directly from the book, but it also goes in a different direction, which I'm fine with.

this will be the coolest, most original movie of the summer, not a doubt in my mind. i've never read the original comic, but this movie just looks so effing awesome, i could care less what they've changed.

Man, I LOOOOOOVE that new trailer - it's so much better than the first one. Every action scene I'm seeing in these trailers kind of reminds me of the action scenes that used to take place in my head when playing with my toys as a little kid. As kids, we didn't want "realistic" action - we wanted crazy, over-the-top scenes of pure kick-assery! It wasn't "one shot and you're dead" - as kids, our action scenes were always full of guys dodging bullets and fast cars jumping and flipping through the air... leaping across buildings and taking more damage than any human being could possibly withstand... firing a barrage of weaponry and still being the last man standing. THAT is the kind of action I want to see - and that's what I'm seeing in Wanted so far. Pure unadulterated awesome. :woot:
