This guy has AMAZING character (from what I've seen on the TV anyway) and an AMAZING voice.

That Billie Jean performance was amazing. The only thing that kills it for me is that when I watched it, I was reminded of Chris Cornell's cover, which was the better of the two, of course.

I disagree. I think Cook's vocals were less growly and more dramatic.

I will agree with you that he made it sound like his own. It wasn't a carbon copy, which is a good thing.

I really don't like his hair. Other than that I hope he wins. I wasn't paying attention the other night and I said "what the hell kinda song is this?" and my room mate told me it was Billie Jean. I said "huh as in MJ billie Jean?" I had to stop and rewind it. Didn't recognize the song at first. WOW. It rocked. He's great.

Negative, I wouldn't call it successful. He has an album out, but it wasn't released by a major label. He paid for it himself, and it's not something you can find in a record store.

Music is okay, but not great. But the guy was like 20 when he put it out. I look forward to his music in the future.
