To me, Jolt doens't seem to transform as much, you know?
the other TF's changed to REALLY look like robots
he just looks like a car with hands and a face

You know, i was think the same thing Shadowdog, but this is the toy, so maybe they simplified his design for the sake of the toy, but he'll look more complex in the movie. I really hate to judge any of the TF's based upon the toy version of them. I'm either waiting to see an official pic or movie stills of them before i pass final judgement.

Found this on tfw2005. Looks like it's a cover for one of the Defiance issues. From what I can see it's the re-formatted Megatron (notice the claw) at the bottom of the ocean with the wreckage of the other Decepticons, though he could be on Cybertron. Any thoughts?

Actually now that I look at it, those look like fists pumping at the bottom, and stars in the sky. Maybe this is the re-formatted Megs rallying his forces?

Probably those aren't stars though, as we see the same white spots against the Decepticon pillar, making them too near to be stars

i think bay looks at it as there's less chance of fanboy rants about ****ing up characters if he leaves the iconic characters alone and goes for the ones he's made up or people don't really care about

Easier to mutilate nobodies than somebodies.

I think that is probably what it is too. I don't have a problem with them creating new characters of their own, but you also have to have a few fan favorites in there.

But I'm holding out some hope though that perhaps there are few new Autobots that just weren't spotted on set.

That's an interesting point you make there, and call me crazy but didn't one of the writers hint about the whole Devastator bungle being fixed in the second movie quite some time ago, something along the lines of "we can easily fix the Devastaor problem in a second movie". I think it was after someone asked Orci on that TFW board.

The new Prime mold looks brilliant - and I think Jetfire looks really cool, even though alot of people seem to hate his design based on the Legends toy. Can't wait to see a more detailed version of his bot mode... (it looks like the long "neck" of the plane collapses in on itself, making those two big "fans" on the side, with the cockpit on his head - see what I mean?)

I would have rated it fake, then I noticed that the pic strongly resembles Revenge Soundwave's satalite mode. Common people look at those pics then look at this one, also once you realize its soundwave it hits you that its acutaly too good to have been shoped by an amiture.

Anyways, in TF you could see some sort of hieroglyphics on the Autobots. Just pure speculation on my part, but those "leaked" photos could hint at a transformer that has crashed in Egypt. Then the Egyptians based their written language off of the hieroglyphics they learned/found on the crashed robot?

I just saw the below information, and I hope we can get the Feb. new Empire magazine issue pic soon for those stills and interview.

Hey its in the new issue of empire. Im not sure whether it will be different from what's unveiled on monday. Im not at home so i dont have my scanner but ill share what the issue contains. The only robot shot is one similar to the last cover empire had with prime, although this time he's damaged and looks like he has been in battle. The other shots is a set shot of a pyramid and a shot taken from the movie of Sam and Michaela running and another shot of the character played by Ramon Rodriguez ducking from cars flying through the air. Also in the article, the producers comment on devastator and how he appears in the final sequence in Egypt with the traditionally you wont believe it till you see it talk up. They are keeping under wraps who the Fallen is and Bay says there is no Megatron, although thats probably mis-information, he says the leaked tank design is just hasbro trying to sell more toys. Oh also there's a quote with them saying there's 40 odd robots in the movie. Hope that info tides peeps over till someone scans it or its unveiled on the monday. Not much and who knows what to believe with this production. :)

I highly doubt that the Megatron tank design is a toy-only design. We've already seen a scan of one of the CGI-renders (the one with Ravage) and one of the design sheets for the toy has a note that says "look at movie reference"

Really, the people who make this movie must thinks the fans are stupid...

What i mean is, that dude holding onto the pole looks like he's stopping himself from being sucked into something. Kind of like in sci-fi films when the hull is breached and everyone grabs on to what ever is at hand to keep from being sucked into space or where ever.

Why would you hold on to a pole if cars where coming at you?? But you would if you didn't want to be sucked into some crazy giant ****ing robot vortex though.

Like i said i could be reading into it a little too much but if i'm right then it makes that picture a lot more interesting than the first impression when you consider just what it is that could be sucking everything and everyone into it.

Just an idea to throw into the mix!

What i mean is, that dude holding onto the pole looks like he's stopping himself from being sucked into something. Kind of like in sci-fi films when the hull is breached and everyone grabs on to what ever is at hand to keep from being sucked into space or where ever.

Assuming this is all apart of the false info campaign, $200 mill is a very healthy budget for this flick. I'm reserving judgment about the 40 bots, it could be bulls*** or we may get a lot of cannon fodder bots that will probably get killed off in random battles with no character development at all. If they are nameless bots then fine, but if I see a character name like Prowl pop up for 2 seconds and get blown into tiny bits I'll, well I'll shake my fist angrily for a while because that's all I can do :csad:

Well, Giza is not completely empty like in the middle of the desert. I mean, there are quite a few surounding buildings near the pyramid complex as well as the sphinx statue. And there are bound to be hundreds of tourists so I think it will be a great fight.

Its a theory that has been bandied around here quite a lot since 2007, and its one that makes a lot of sense to me personally.

They are actually equals, its just that more often than not Megatron beats Prime through using a specific new energy source or even cheating a lot of the time. But in an all out brawl, they are equals, though in the animated movie Prime had the much better of their fight, and Megatron had to feign defeat to win.

Hey guys, I did some digging and noticed right away that the head of whom I assume is The Fallen on the Defiance #1 cover looks very similar to the head of movie Soundwave. Kinda weird, like they're related or something. Also noticed the pyramid in the backround of the Alliance #4 cover which tells me that all the Autobots featured on the cover will be in the final battle scene in Giza. Pretty exciting.

That's why I'm not buying Optimus Prime's toy for either one of these films. I'd rather buy one when the third film comes out and it's a likelihood that they'll leave it as is for a while. I hope this means that Hasbro has finally wised up and gives us a transforming Movie Optimus Prime figure that actually speaks in Peter Cullen's voice instead of that generic-VA switcheroo crap they pulled with the toys for the first movie.

Other than that, damn, this one's a heckuva lot more movie-accurate, that's for sure.

It's not that surprising. There was no real difference between Starscream and his companions besides a color palette swap in the Generation One toy line. That they've even bothered to change the head is an unusual effort when you think of other examples like Jetfire, where they were so lazy they took a Macross toy, repainted it, and called it a Transformer.

Some of the features:

-dual shock absorbers for lower legs
-unique feet: formed from the front portion of the car (right front side of the car on the left, left front side on the right), each foot appears to be either a tire split in 2 halves with a stabilizer (foot) sandwiched in between OR a tire sandwiched between 2 stabilizers (meaning he would have roller feet)... probably the 2nd option...
-2 pairs of struts linking the upper legs to the lower torso
-chest is formed from the rear section of the car (outer parts) with a black section in the middle (exposed when you lift up the middle rear section) with a silver Autobot symbol on the right (think Alt. Meister when you lift the hood)
-clear blue windshield hanging off the back
-wheels (near the elbows) and rear car sections (pointing forward) hanging off the arms
-hands: 1 thick thumb and 2 thick fingers (a bit like Blackout)
-head is bit a Megatron-esque, but different... hard to describe... has blue light piping
-middle rear section of the car is pointing up on the back in robot mode (like Trans Scanning Bumblebee) and you can see 4 exhaust pipes
-hood halves hanging off the back as wings (front pointing down)
-red/orangy tail lights
-clear headlights
-blue knees
-car has long and pointy rear view mirrors (probably rubber)
-small molded Corvette symbol on front of the hood

Seems consistent with the leaked pic we got some time ago although the feet for wheels sounds like they have been altered a little to look more like feet rather then just standing on top of whole tires. I still find it peculiar that they are using Sideswipe as a character name for this bot, of course if Sunstreaker is in there then it should be fine.
