Very nice, Megs looks mint. At least it is now explained why he is a tank in this one. Can't wait to see him on screen.

Prime's joints are a lot more articulated this time around, for a bulky fella he can strike a few poses. Megs looks good, but I think his movements are not as good as Prime. His bulk kind of weighs him down.

Maybe just maybe we may hear Frank Welker return as the voice of megatron. It would fit the storyline perfectly. He's taken parts from the other decepticons, he's changed completely and been ravaged by the allspark. A change in voice would make sense.

But that's just my wishful thinking.

Rumor has it, Megatron was possessed by the Fallen or something like that, the front cover of one of the RotF prequel comics has Megatron worshipping some kind of Fallen monument. It's always possible that he made a sacrafice to follow him for strenghth.

Ahh Beast Wars. Brings back great memories. There was a series called Transtech, it would have been a follow up to Beast Machines, the sequel to Beast Wars, and its said that Michael Bay used the concept designs as inspiration for his Transformers film.

---IN town to promote his rather excellent new Aussie film, Last Ride, Hugo Weaving let slip he’ll be returning as the voice of Megatron in Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen.

Fans no doubt will recall that when we last saw Megatron, Sam (Shia LaBeouf) had rammed the All Spark cube into his chest, thereby destroying him.

Despite this apparent death, rumours have been circulating the villain was going to make a comeback. Director Michael Bay went so far as to flatly deny the rumour, telling Empire: ``He’s not in this movie.’’

Turns out Bay was fibbing.

``I’ve already done it,’’ Weaving says, adding Bay had told him to keep the news hush-hush. ``He’s over in LA and we were working on the video split sort of thing and I had this strange conversation where he seemed to imply it was all a big secret. So there you go - I’ve given you the secret scoop.’’

So how is Megatron resurrected?

Weaving is coy about revealing too much, but does give a tiny hint.

``I think in the last one, doesn’t Optimus Prime pick up a little bit of, a little shard of the cube, or the thing that’s left, and he takes it with him. Maybe there’s something there… but I don’t know,’’ he laughs.

We’ll find out on June 25, the film’s Australian release.---

I'm cool with Weaving returning. I just hope that they give him more to do. In addition to Welker being brought back to voice Soundwave.

I'm liking that design as well. Since him, and Wheeljack for that matter, were both slated to appear in TF1 at one point, I'd like to think that he'll show up at some point down the line.

First, he was my favorite toy (I think something about cop cars appealed to me :huh: ) Second was his actual character, he was the tactician , the thinker of the Autobots, he had a commanding roll and didn't take s**t from anyone. I always felt Prowl was a bit of an outsider. I don't know, I guess I've always stuck with him, my favorite Decepticon is Shockwave, and you could almost say he was the Con version of Prowl as far as Tactician and commanding roll goes.

shockwave was cool, with the bad posh decepticon british accent. he spent all his time on cybertron getting the space bridge ready.

i heard here somewhere that he was megatrons boss or something.

prowl was real cool, and in animated he was cool too.

In The Transformers TV series, he was Megatron's dutiful servant, keeping Cybertron as it was before Megatron left on the Nemesis battlecruiser. In the Marvel Comics iteration, Shockwave is the true definition of a Decepticon: powerful, self-serving, and cunning. He even wrested control from Megatron and defeated the weakened Autobots in his earliest appearances.

Prowl is one of the few reasons I'd watch Transformers Animated, the other being the Starscream/Megatron rivalry. That series hasn't "animated" me, as it were.

Cool, was just curious more than anything, love both Prowl and Shockwave, but he seems a bit weak in the new comic series. Should been brought in as 2nd in command in this movie IMO, seeing as Jazz is dead.

I think this line is being over used a bit. Jetfire looks like a jet pack for Prime, although the sizing is off. How the hell could prime support the weight of a whole Blackbird on his back :huh:

The SR-71 Blackbird is 107 feet and 5 inches long, while the Space Shuttle is just over 122 feet in length.

I think this line is being over used a bit. Jetfire looks like a jet pack for Prime, although the sizing is off. How the hell could prime support the weight of a whole Blackbird on his back :huh:

This is correct. Optimus was always in charge, with Jetfire adding more speed, defense and power to Optimus. Optimus was still able to talk to Jetfire as a separate entity even when they were combined.

I don't think that "jackhammer mode" is enough to qualify Rampage as a triple-changer. Looks like it's just the robots legs pushed together.

But regardless, it's good to see that the individual Constructicon vehicles do indeed have individual robot modes.

The scene that would make this movie for me if if that big carrier plane autobot is in the movie and brings Jetfire and Prime to the battle scene in Egypt. Prime and Jetfire combine to take on THE FALLEN while the carrier plane becomes OMEGA SUPREME and brawls with DEVASTATOR
