No, actually, he was neither really (the cartoon did not really go into what he was, just that he was an explorer with Starscream.

He became a Decepticon because Starscream fooled him into thinking he was. When he figured out everything that was going on, he realized he is/should be an Autobot.

I saw this out side of Eastern State Penitentiary and thought that it seemed really out of place and since Transformers2 was filming the other day and still had a few trucks there I decided that I should snap a few pics, in fact I managed to do so just before it was loaded on to a flat bed and taken away.

I did consider that it is just a random thing that gets smashed up but it seemed oddly whole for something that gets trashed. I guess only time will tell at this point but it does not seem too likely that it will be the old transformer with the inclusion of the ice cream truck. But since there are a few new characters in this one it could be one that changes his shape ala Bumblebee.

I don't think that's Frenzy....but I do think it is another one of the Decepticons minions...but then again, it is just a prop and we have no idea what the CGI version of what that is will be.

That looks nothing like frenzy though. Could it be Ravage? I see cat-ish design nuances in his face area...what do you think? See the long neck that follows through to his forehead, then right below that is his eye cavity. Looks panther-ish t me, but could simply be a frenzy redesign.

It's very likely it's a fake. This has happened time and again for many movies where a dedicated individual fooled people just to get his name/talent seen. It happened with Spider-Man 1 poster, Joker image and many others, i'm sure this is just the latest.

I would say the fan that made this, did it on PhotoShop, printed it out, and stuck it up on his wall. The easiest way to determine it's a fake is the size. It's no the same size as a movie poster. The length to width ratio is off.

I would say the fan that made this, did it on PhotoShop, printed it out, and stuck it up on his wall. The easiest way to determine it's a fake is the size. It's no the same size as a movie poster. The length to width ratio is off.why would you print it? you can make it with photoshop look like it is on a wall.

plus you make the pic very small and you add a lot of grain. voila.

TF2 Teaser Poster Revisisted

The creator of the fan-made Transformers 2 teaser poster has revealed himself to be "Marobot" from the Don Murphy message boards. He says "Awe, you guys have no sense of humor XD, it was fun looking at all you guys speculating about is this poster fake or not, but as all of u already know ....both are fake and both are made by my." There you go, confirmation of what we already knew, the poster was fake. Below are both versions created by Marobot. Of the two, the second is much better. If it had been "leaked" first, I think more people would have been debating more fiercly about its legitimacy.

WOW !!!!! It was so cool to see my pict posted here !!!!
This was taken about two weeks before the filming started. My intent was just to shoot in the mill. I thought the Chinese symbols on the mill looked a little odd*LOL*. I guess that explains the extra security !!!

I was able to shoot the three days of filming. What a great experience !!
Explosions and Blackhawk helicopters..AWESOME combination. The choppers were flying so low, the breeze off the water was intense. :trans:

Eastern State Pen TF Blog Post

As discovered by TFormers, Eastern State Penitentiary recently blogged about the Transformers 2 shoot that occured at the site and posted three photos.

We were thrilled to welcome the cast and crew of Transformers 2 to Eastern State Penitentiary!

The sequel to last summer's blockbuster recently filmed scenes in Eastern State's Cellblock 7 as well as outside in the Industrial Building Courtyard. You can see in the top photo the massive helium-filled balloon light that was used to simulate moonlight. The next photo shows the cast and crew on the set created at Eastern State. The final photo shows the car cast as "Bumblebee" exiting Eastern State during filming.

While on site, Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox and Michael Bay enjoyed a tour of Eastern State including some areas used during Terror Behind the Walls, including Cellblock 12, the home of Lock Down.

About the BB remodel:

From a fan perspective that would be freakin' crap.
From an Automotive Industry perspective it makes sense.

They already have the hype out there for the Corvette, so why not have him beat up so bad that he has to change to one of the newest prototype cars out there. That means hype for a SECOND soon to be released vehicle that MILLIONS of people will see. Money would be the main reason for this type of change, and I wouldn't be suprised if I saw something like that.

Get your facts straight...the can am's are NOT Arcee, it's been said time and again. Here we go:

Transformers at Edwards with Hot Rod?

"Vamphite" at the Don Murphy forums provided the below three pictures that show the fleet of cars being used for Transformers that was taken at or near Edwards Air Force Base.

The pics show various NEST vehicles, Optimus Prime, the Spider Can-Am Spyders (that are not Arcee), Ratchet, two copies of the green Chevy Beat, the red Chevy Trax, and the first clear shot of the new corvette that was spotted at Philly by Braden where the model was much debated. I am still sticking with 2009 Chevy Corvette ZR1. Thanks to Chris and Rich for the heads-up.

Also from Chris, a silver car has been mentioned around the base as possibily being Tracks or Wheeljack. Not sure if talking about the above Corvette or maybe the rumored Saab Aero X was spotted. Also Bay spoke about Hot Rod saying "He has to make Bumblebee all of a sudden less popular. Also needs to have a G1 personality with a modern day appearance." Does that mean Hot Rod is in the film? Or it could just be a comment thrown off to answer how the character would be handled if in the film. As always time will tell.

Update: Based on the comments I should add that the Hot Rod comment is the case of a person that overheard this being told to someone else. It is NOT confirmation that the character is in the movie. It could be false information or could just be a conversation about G1 characters and nothing more or Rod could actually be in the movie. Its all speculation until July 27th of next year.

In regards to the Corvette, I recieved an interesting email from a classic car fan, CRB, who noted the "vette is likely a reintroduction of the Stingray, first introduced in '63. The two cars pictured show styling cues from several years of stingrays, including the split rear window from '63 and the swooping, raised front fenders of the late sixties/early seventies models. Even the 'teeth' of the grill bring up images of early stingray concepts." I know next to nothing about cars but its an interesting theory and fits nicely with the rumored "Stinger" Autobot name for that vehicle. Debate and discuss in the comments below.

Greetings everyone. I've finally after following these boards for 5 years, decided to become a member. I figured this would be the best place to make my first post considering I have some information pertaining to the film.

I work in a company called EMC, you may or may not have heard of it. It's the largest corporation dedicated to information and storage management. Basically we make and supply gigantic computer cabinets (cabs) for the military, government, or anyone who needs to support heavy data and records on digital files. Anyways, the other day we got a special order put in and they needed to be shipped for a movie. What movie and why was disclosed to us but I happen to have connections. :cwink:

Last month, a fellow worker in another department (who by the way is a huge Star Wars and Transformers geek) told me about how he just came back from delivering about 15 cabs to the set of this movie called Eagle Eye (other Shia Lebouf movie). He was telling me about what a great time he had going to different sets and meeting people like Leo DiCaprio and Russel Crowe who are filming their own movie at the moment. When his time was done there, the studio had to clear out for another one coming in. When he asked which one, they told him Transformers 2. He was disappointed he wouldn't get the chance to see anything of the film. Then Last week he received a call saying he was wanted back on another set with 11 of the same type of Cabs. This time for the one that he missed out on.

Not much to look at here, but the doors open up to reveal about 240 hard drives in each bay (no pun intended) fancy lights, shiny metal, the works. they're quite futuristic looking when powered up. They're not filled with real hard drives, Having personally built the ones that shipped out this morning, they're filled with fake drives and mostly empty components so they can be utilized on screen. I can imagine how they plan to make these even cooler. If they transformed (which they probably wont) I'd faint from an overdose of cool.

So not the most revealing info I know, but it made me excited and I thought I'd share with you guys what I know. Another thing, these will be arriving on set in Santa Monica Monday along with the same guy who will be supervising the cabs for some time. I'll also be flying out to San Diego for Comic-Con (a couple hours away). There may be a slight chance I can get on Set. FINGERS CROSSED!! Either way I'll definitely be hearing some things from him about the production, and there will most likely be something from the HASBRO panel. I'll keep you guys updated with anything I know!

i had a though today on the corvette concept...what if the vett is arcee? think about it, arcee was originally a futuristic car, and that is a rather futuristic looking car. also it has somewhat of an hourglass figure look to it.

hhmm...heres my theory, all of the robots have a bunch of extra cores back on cybertron, much like a change of socks. so whenever a robot dies they just get one of the spare cores andreplace it bringing the bot back to life! now we can have infinite sequels no matter who dies!!!!! (except mikaela...no more movies if she dies :()

That would suck, the price of life would be devalued using cheap tricks. The idea of transformers was we could relate to them on a human level, the death of an Autobot should hold the same value as the death of a human, after all they to are sentient beings with individual personalities.

Shia was driving under the enfluence"Drinking", and got into an accident.

He was a Mustang that had been modified by the aftermarket company Saleen. Still says Mustang on the registraion for the car though. Kinda like Mustang GT, or Shelby GT 500, still a Mustang.

More photos! Look closely at the third pic, you can see the Audi R8 and the Corvette concept (with doors that open vertically?)

This is likely another part of the action scenes filmed in Bethlehem. The decor is the same and the same cars are on set - I just can't believe we haven't seen any pics of Arcee yet, she should technically be there.

These photos were from filming at the Long Beach docks, and I believe they are currently in San Pedro somewhere, according to the most recent sightings...
