I have NEVER made an applogist post about BayFormers but maybe this is just JetFire's "Gaurdian Mode" The original Jet fire was a Varitech after all.

Well, this would be very unoriginal by taking an idea from another science fiction series and incorporating it into transformers. This better not turn out to be true.

Well so did the rest of the transformers, and the gobots and the micronaughts. Actualy if you made a direct line of decent license wise and toy wise you will find that the transformers are direct decendants several generations removed from the original G.I.Joe. So I dont see a problem from them taking ideas from a chracter that was originated in that universe to begin with.

I know Transformers did it first, but I can't help but think of Power Rangers when I think of Optimus combining with Jetfire.

Not a fan of the idea at all of them combining at all it does sound like something from Power Rangers, i just dont think it is something that will look good on screen and will come accross as corny. I just dont like the sound of it at all.

That's Jetfire, which is why a lot of people are thinking he'll be the 'backpack' in the Optimus/Jetfire mashup.

That is a really bad design for Jetfire I hope that is not his design in the movie.

We got a glimpse of what was no doubt an awesome fight with Bumblebee and Barricade, then switched to friggin' Sam and Frenzy. Later on, you could see Prime and Megatron really duking it out, but did we see any of that awesomeness? No, the time was wasting on Blackout's quick and cheap death :(

They have to pull the action back. While I didn't mind and us youngsters didn't mind, a lot of the non-crazy action people fans like us didn't like it. Both of my parents are movie buffs, and they hated how close it was. It will benefit everyone.

Yeah I agree with you here.

I don't mind at all if the shots get close up here and there. Example Bone Crusher's final moments.
But when the scenes are for the most part too close to the characters it makes it difficult to grasp what's going on in the whole scene. Now Im sure alot has to do with budget. So I hope they can splurge a little more this time around. Because last time I felt like I was sitting in the front row watching Saving Private Ryan. :wow:

I definately agree with the shot of the "One Shall Stand..." line being on Sam was a bit retarded, but as for the shots being close, I personally found them entertaining and made me feel a bit closer to the action. Again, I think Bay did such an exceptional job on making the robots real. So, I am guessing that you were not a big fan of such movies as The Blair Witch and Cloverfield, same kind of camera style, with the shaking and moving (both movies I really enjoyed actually).

My biggest gripe of the movie is the disappearance of different transformers in during the course of the movie.

The call sheet's pretty interesting. Besides what's pointed out, we know the Splinter is attracted to Jetfire, and that he helps the "good guys" out despite the visible Decepticon symbol. There's also a distinction made between a radiation tracker and an Energon tracker.

'Anonymous' sent Seiberton.com some new and different images than the ones shared here, on superherohype.com.

Images include the inside of the car hauling trailer, and other captures of the Autobot cars on set, and some information to share about being on the set.

Dear Seibertron.com,

Me again - I have some follow-up information concerning the "Bumblebee Sighted" article that you previously posted. I visited the 309th AMARG again today for their last day of filming; and let me tell you, it was busy. Lots of new photos, including a bumper shot of 'Sideswipe' and a little snippet of a picture of what I believe to be the blue Chevy Volt (however, during the time I was present this vehicle was never actually taken off the trailer; neither was Sideswipe to my knowledge). No pictures of Shia or Megan; but, as I was informed by plenty of soldiers (concerning Fox, anyways); the two were definitely on set. I apologize for some of the pictures that came out somewhat small and rounded; I actually had to snap those certain shots through a pair of binoculars. Ironically enough, the pictures I took of Bumblebee (yellow 2009 concept Camaro) and the red and green Chevy Trax & Beat (the 'Twins', I think?) were actually on my way off the set. Lucky me!

Something else I don't know if you would be interested in or not - but I'll add it on here anyways, just in case. The scene that I witnessed them filming consisted of a long, large sheet of metal (maybe a cover up for something of some sort?) being stood up by the side of one of the planes in The Boneyard, and lots of loud gibberish shouting coming from what I believe to be one of the transformers. Keep in mind this scene was watched from about 200 meters away - but why I think its important is because of the loud, booming voice we heard from over 200 meters away. We couldn't make out what he was saying; but what we could identify was that it was male, and very Decepticon sounding - meaning a very deep, baritone sort of sound to it but with a sharp, manifestly evil edge. In my own opinion (and those of all of the soldiers that accompanied me on the "tour") this was the voice of Megatron - definitely evil, definitely loud. Then again, it could have been that 'Jetfire' character that I've heard a little bit about - the plane where the sound originated from wasn't the exact aircraft he's been described as, but then again I wasn't up close and personal with it so it's a tough one to call. Alas, I wouldn't be surprised if this mysterious voice did belong to Megatron - had a sort of, feel to it, you know?
Something like, "Damn, that guy is pissed."
Megatron or not, whoever's voice that belonged to definitely wanted some sort of Revenge ;)

Well, that's all the news I have so far. If I hear or (hopefully) see anything else concerning Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen; I'll be sure to update you guys!

That's interesting. Skids barely played a roll in the G1 cartoon. I remember him having only one two word line in the entire series. He said robotic insecticide in "The Quest for Survival episode." I also, remember him being much taller than Bumblebee in the series but, apparently he will be smaller in the sequel.

It was one picture that was zoomed in on the three cars that you can see the Skids plate. Went into photoshop to zoom in a little more. The watermark placement really ruins the picture.

I'm with ya. MIRAGE is my favorite out of ALL the TF's. I'm not too fusy about what vehicle his alt mode is, so long as it's Blue and White and he shares some resemblence to G1 Mirage in robot form.

I don't like it. Its too much of a Barricade clone, and the fact that it looks nothing like Soundwave is my biggest issue with it. I know that given Bay's track record, that shouldn't be a big surprise, but still, there isn't a reason why Soundwave can't be as recognizable in the same vein as Optimus and Jazz were in TF1. I'm hoping that Orci wasn't lying about Soundwave not being a pick-up truck and this is just an early concept.

On the upside, Ravage looks interesting.

They look like fakes. Soundwave's practically a carbon copy of Barricade, and if I remember correctly Orci debunked the rumor about a truck mode. The rumor that wasn't debunked about Ravage claimed that Ravage was a "biological weapon;" maybe I have a different interpretation of what that means, but that doesn't give me the impression of one.

All in all, I think a fan brewed this up when the two Soundwave rumors were still being tossed about.

I am not sure but wouldn't a satelitte be heaps bigger than a truck, therfore Soundwaves cybertronian form would be too big to assume an earth form of an truck unless he can size shift. I hate that Soundwave though. Both his bot mode and his alt mode. His truck mode is a very poor man's ironhide, and his bot mode is a very poor man's barricade.

They're missing Soundwave's most important features like his visor, faceplate, and his stature should be more upright. The grill looks better on his chest too, instead of his crotch.

I hope Orci debunking the pickup truck alt mode means this concept was a very early design that has been dropped.

Update: These designs were drawn and concieved by none other than Ben Procter, a widely known artist for the Transformers movie franchise. If you have any further speculation, refer back to the sidesweep design or look up his art online. This also supports my theory that the pics are offcial TF 2 concept art.

Well, that is your opinion. Though, I do doubt that this will be the final design of Soundwave, I'm still sticking strongly to my theory that this is made by Ben Procter. I've seen his work and I am also aware that this is a sloppy design and that most of Ben's portfolio consists of top-notch stuff. My guess is that this was a very early design that Bay asked Ben to just quickly stitch together. The reason I'm keeping my Ben Procter theory is, once again, because of the lighting and coloring. Not so much the design, but just the way it was colored and lit, especially how the blue light reflects of the arms and little hints like that.:yay:

If I recall, the decepticions were some of the first released drawings of the robot modes. It could also mean that there wont be street driven decepticons, and will probably be CGI'ed in. Even in the first, there weren't helicopters and jets flying street level. I'm just saying...

Ravage concept is fake for so many reasons. I'm a graphic designer and work with photoshop all day. There are minute details and tell tale signs of photo manipulation and resolution inconsistentcies. For example the decepticon logo has been blown up and appears more "blurry" than other portions of the image, especially when compared to the Chevy truck which is much more crisp. Most likely because the stock image was shrunk down to a smaller than original size. Also the misspelling of "Satellite" is a dead giveaway.

In the second pic, the twin cannons make him look like Ironhide. I dunno why he's got an array of spikes behind him though.
