Finally, some clear pictures of what we saw before. Ravage looks okay. Does anyone else think Megatron looks much better without all the gaps in his armor? The cannon's a nice touch, too.

Do we know who designed this? Ravage, in particular, looks like he was designed by the same artist who did the Terminator Salvation concept art.

That Megatron is an improvement on the first movie version, not sure what to make of that crab claw hand cannon thingy. Ravage looks like he'll do some damage.

I was a little thrown off by the hand, but it works for me. All I've asked for in regards to Megatron is a more faithful version of the iconic cannon he sports than what we got in the last film. If that means it's a pincer-cannon fusion, it's still better than nothing.

Ravage is a stealthy Transformer. He is best for hiding and creeping in shadows. Not sure if that's how he will be in TF2, but he is vicious and fast.

Not quite. We have the concept art of a tank, we have the other leaked pictures of the tank mode as well as a preview of what he would look like rebuilt, and now we have a clear picture of his rebuilt body. Orci's been mum about it, but that insinuates more that this is meant to be a big reveal rather than it being a discarded idea.

When I say concept art I am refering to the one design not the multiple pictures, easy mistake. We got those pics roughly around the same time from that one source of Millenium Movies (they had that "Toys" watermark on them), and yes this is the first pic of Megs since that leaked concept made its way on to the net which is consistant with them. However, and this is the point I'm trying to make, Bay stated that false info will be leaked on to the net, therefore we don't actually know anything until we get something official. Can you actually sit there and 100% without a doubt confirm that this is what we will see in the film?

Our old friend Millenium Movies has provided me with a scoop from encline of TFW2005. Hard to say for sure if this will be in the movie or if it's one of those movie thoys that doesn't make it in to the movie, however it is a European car which is consistant with the Audi Decepticon and it seems to have the Bayformer look to it so who knows. My only problem is that the car itself has not been seen on set. I'll let you peeps decide.

That's Jetfire, which is why a lot of people are thinking he'll be the 'backpack' in the Optimus/Jetfire mashup.

Yeah, it's a shame the guy who was swearing up and down it wasn't Jetfire isn't here to accept his crow.

Apparently the movie blog mentioned something about Jetfire possibly being injured and having to use a makeshift crutch. Which I could see the Decepticons casting him aside as useless as a result. It'd also go a ways to explaining the possible Optimus/Jetfire combo.

Apparently the movie blog mentioned something about Jetfire possibly being injured and having to use a makeshift crutch. Which I could see the Decepticons casting him aside as useless as a result. It'd also go a ways to explaining the possible Optimus/Jetfire combo.

This is based on that crappy Happy Meal quality toy we saw a few months ago?

It would have to be more then a disability to have him cast out, they regenerate/fix themselves so I'm hoping there will be more depth to the Jetfire character.

Bumblebee's legs were ripped off too, but that didn't stop them from repairing him. All they have to do is put Jazz back together and poof revive him they same way they plan to revive Megatron. Jazz is my all time favorite Transformer, stemming from the fact that he was my first Transformer as a kid. I think it was cheap and pointless to kill him off so early in this series. Personally, I'd like to see him come back and kick some Decepticon @$$ since he didn't get to do much of that the first time around.

They were able to repair Bumblebee cause he wasen't damaged to the point where his spark was threatened. If they got to Jazz right after he was damaged they coulda stabilized him before his spark was extinguished. Also the location of the injury was probably a factor aswell. BB was only damaged from the knee down, his torso was fully intact. Whereas Jazz was turn apart at the waist therefore his injuries were pretty much fatal.

i just saw this over on TFW.... and a poster there made an interesting point. The Legend jetfire has that protuding bit in the centre of the toy, while the Legend Prime has a small slot the same size as Jetfires bit in thetop of the 'sleeper' bit of his cab.

Another example of these two combining.

Why? It has better dialogue for the Autobots and Decepticons and the Cybertronians are the main characters. That's a win-win as far as I'm concerned. The most you can say about the movie versions is that they have the edge in visuals.

Well, Batman's in another realm. It was never a case of a show about selling toys somehow evolving into a show with themes and complexities. Bruce Timm and co. set out from the beginning to make an adult Batman show that happened to be animated. It's hard to compare and contrast the two, since one is based off of a pulp comic hero and the other was started to sell toys. Same goes for Gargoyles or cartoons as recent as The Spectacular Spider-Man. There were very different intentions.

Design wise, I think Megatron, Soundwave, and Ravage are looking good.

I'm a bit disappointed that that sketch somebody drew up of Jetfire a few months back has turned out to be accurate. I imagine that part of the reason why he looks the way he does is because Bay wanted to keep him a similar height relative to Optimus and Megatron.

Totally agree Chris B, Arcee, Skids, his twin and Jolt are all characters that arent really important in the G1 universe. I would much rather have seen Prowl, Wheeljack, or especially, Ultra Magnus. Better and more iconic characters IMO.
