The pictures were snapped from a camera phone in Culver City, and they are clearly Saleen Mustangs with the Decepticon logo on the side.

Doubt they are moving them from storage, all that stuff would have been put away once the first film wrapped up. The only way Barricade is not in the sequel if these pics are a another way of Bay making us think about the plot and characters. Bay said he was going to release things that are NOT true to throw the fans off.

As for Don Murphy, as much as he has proven to be a pompous *******, I kinda feel that him and Tom DeSanto do deserve some credit for getting Peter Cullen and at least pushing for Frank Welker.

Regarding the pictures, I think the point Don was trying to make was that the pics weren't necessarily an indication that filming had begun. The pics might have been taken last year too.

With the possibility of filming for Transformers 2 in Philly, I'm gonna be keeping my eyes peeled for Autobot and decepticon symbols. This is exciting, cuz it could be any vehicle. It's like a Scavenger Hunt.

I think it is entirely possible that these cars are being moved to a shop to prepare them for the movie, do some tweaks, clean them up, etc. Because even without the actors, Bay can still shoot driving scenes and back plate shots for robots, can he not?

I think there is a slight chance that some of the vehicles might be getting new paint jobs. I mean they did have color variants with the toy line so maybe some of the robots will be changing color.

Not sure what you mean by that? Yeah he was beaten by Bumblebee but we later saw him driving down the highway before the Bonecrusher-Optimus battle.

But you also saw his wreckage on the deck of the freighter when they were tossing the bodies into the ocean. The story I was led to believe was Optimus finally put Barricade down after killing Bonecrusher and thats why Prime was so late getting to the City.

Honestly i've looked frame by frame and i cannot see anything that looks like it came form Barricade, just some bits of Blackout

I will find it and post it as soon as I get home. I'm wondering if it has something to do with the dvd. I have the Target version where the dvd case transforms into Prime. Not sure if its a "special edition" or not but I'll look. But I'm pretty sure I saw that scene. Besides how else do you account for Barricade not showing up? Here's something else to look for: When the F-22 Raptors are flying around You'll get a quick glimpse at the pilot's name on one of them> Capt. Brad J. Armbruster AKA Ace from G.I.Joe! Also there is a new military vehicle (Decepticon?) that has the phrase NEST stenciled on its side and a cannon on top. A quick Google search suggests that NEST stands for Nuclear Emergency Search Team but that is just a random guess on my part.

My guess: The vehicle reminds me of those military vehicles that Lennox and Epps used to escort Bumblebee from the S7 installation to the city. Looking at the triangular logo I'll go with it being something other than a Decepticon or Autobot logo, further suggesting a third party. On top of that we know that Graham, Epps and Lennox will be in some kind of special forces group (a Sector 7 replacement perhaps?) and they might need something to get around in, when not hitching a lift in a robot.

So that's it really. Until further scoops emerge I'm imagining this as a human military vehicle involved in the Autobot, Decepticon war on Earth.

The opening of Transformers 2 takes place at a Steel Factory in Shanghai, China (filmed in Bethlehem, PA), where the Autobots, the British SAS (Matthew Marsden as “Graham” and Andrew Howard) and Captain Lennox’s Military team (Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson) are chasing after a Decepticon Audi RS8.

The autobots include a pair of robots called The Twins, which join together to form an Ice Cream Truck.

A hot pink ninja style motorcycle with black highlights which turns into Arcee

Go-cart named Wheels / Wheelbot and Stinger (possibly a Porsche)

Sam uses something called the “Splinter” (maybe a tiny piece of the alspark?) to activate the SR-71, which transforms into Jetfire. Jetfire as a Blackbird spy plane? Very Cool. For some reason he has a Decepticon logo

The involvement of a Constructicon Earth Mover pretty much confirms the rumor that the Constructicons and Devastator might appear in the film.

Speculating: Seems to me that if Jetfire has a Decepticon logo, and Sam is reviving him with the Splinter of Allspark, maybe Jetfire will be that one bot that says he is working along with the Autobots but you are never fully sure if he will stab them in the back.

Not sure how i feel about the line-up of Autobots, so far, but i guess that since ALL the Autobots from TF1 were from the G1 line-up, i guess this time around they'll be new bots and maybe the Decepticons will have more G1 in their ranks this time, as opposed to what we got in the first movie.

More High-Fliers at Air & Space

The National Air and Space Museum went Hollywood when it became the first Smithsonian-affiliated spot to be featured in a movie title ("Night at the Museum 2: Escape From the Smithsonian," filmed last month). Now its Chantilly outpost is getting some time in the limelight.

Director Michael Bay was at the museum's Steven F. Udvar-Hazy Center yesterday, filming scenes for his upcoming "Transformers" sequel with stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox. We hear that a "super-friendly" LaBeouf signed autographs while Bay took visiting school groups on behind-the-scenes tours of the film set. A couple friends made their way to the Udvar Hazy Center - National Air & Space Museum in Dulles, VA today...

Turns out they were filming today... Specifically, Transformers 2.

So umm yea, XXX and I were on the set of Transformers 2 today. We went to the Air and Space Museum and we see a Dreamworks sign, the we look out back, and see Bumblebee in disguise along with two other cars, then we watched Michael Bay land his jet with the Autobot logo on the back, sooooo sick.

Shia was right in front of us shaking the crews hands, this was the first day of filming, the sr-71 was lit up and apparently the main attraction.

Shia was right in front of us in street clothes, we got within 5 feet of him and were like, umm, "Thats Shia", then Michael Bay walked right past us after getting off his jet to head out front to see the set being set up. We were the only 2 who knew who he was. He literally landed and started filming right away, it was nuts, about 40 people got out of the plane.

And of course the jaw dropper (because we did not get to see megan fox) was of course the camaro! (Bumble Bee) This was as close as I could get (we walked closer, but as soon as the guards saw my phone they asked to put it away) for a picture....

On the set of Transformers 2

On my way to the movies tonight I stumbled upon the filming of Transformers 2 at the Air & Space Museum. My phone take craptastic pics, but here's a shot of the set with Bumblebee and another Autobot in car form in the parking lot... And after that are a couple pics of the camera jib / crane inside. They said they'll be shooting tomorrow but I highly doubt that since this part of the movie takes place "after hours"... and all their equipment and power distribution is already being set up...
