Would you like Snake Eyes loyal pet wolf Timber to be included in the movie, yes or no?
Personally, I'd like him to be included... Timber is one of the reasons why Snake Eyes became my favourite Joe and why I picked him as my very first G.I. joe action figure back in the day...
Any thoughts?

Heck yeah! Timber and Snake are a team.

Heck yeah! Timber and Snake are a team.
My thoughts exactly :)
But like Cerebral said, it has to be done right... A tough guy like Snake Eyes having a pet wolf could look silly pretty fast when not handled right...
Anyway... I'm happy to see many of you guys rooting for a Timber in the movie!

naw....
rather have an ode to it... like if he's traveilling in a forest.. and catches a glimpse at a wolf and just like a silent moment of respect...
something subtle maybe nt as cheesy but something along those lines

at this rate, I bet Timber would be a dalmatian. Junkyard would be a greyhound.

I'd like to see Timber in G.I. Joe as much as I'd like to see Ace the Bat hound in The Dark Knight, which is to say not at all.

I'd even be perfectly happy with a reference like that, actually...

I wouldn't compare Timber with Ace, but I see what you mean...
Still, the character of Snake Eyes -the version they chose to base the movie version upon- did have the wolf as a partner. Hardly comparable to Ace, which was a character dragged into the Batman comics for no real reason and soon kicked out again.
That way, not having Timber in the movie would be like having Tomax but no mention of Xamot. See what I mean?
Look...I have no problem with the moviemakers changing things to the origin material for their silver screen adaptation. I know that it's necessary sometimes and I even had to do so myself.
Still, at some point you have to ask yourself if you're still making a (in this case) G.I. Joe movie or a movie loosely based on some aspects of G.I. Joe.
To me, cutting out Timber will be like cutting out Battle Cat out of a He-Man movie. What you might get then, basically, is the 1987 Masters of the Universe movie.

I could definitely live with that, though some might say that's a rip off of Wolverine. (Wasn't it X2 where he had a scene like that?)

More likely Timber would be a Bijon, Junkyard a Poodle, and Order a Pug!

That would be cool too! Damn how is it, posters could come up with great ideas, and characters but the actual people who get paid for this. Find some way of screwing things up?

Any truth to the rumors that Timbers front half will be foam rubber while the rest will be actual dog fur?

NO WAY! I heard Andy Serkis (Golem, King Kong) was doing the motion capture for Timber!

I just read Timber will be similar to Max from Man's Best Friend. Complete with morphing abilities, and heightened canine agility and senses.

Is the Rock/Shipwreck (SHIPROCK!) gonna have Polly? If so is she gonna transform into his ever handy musket in times of need?
