HAHA!

I see that there is a James Madison up there! We still might have hope to get in on the fun!

 Would be great if there was cross city participation!

Someone mentioned these are all on money. Clever.

George Washington on the $1 bill, Thomas Jefferson on the $2 bill, Abraham Lincoln on the $5 bill, Alexander Hamilton (http://www.treas.gov/education/history/secretaries/ahamilton.shtml) on the $10 bill, Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill, Ulysses S. Grant on the $50 bill, and Benjamin Franklin on the $100 bill. There are also several denominations of currency notes that are no longer produced. These include the $500 bill with the portrait of William McKinley, the $1,000 bill with a portrait of Grover Cleveland, the $5,000 bill with a portrait of James Madison, the $10,000 bill with a portrait of Salmon P. Chase (http://www.treas.gov/education/history/secretaries/spchase.shtml), and the $100,000 currency note bearing a portrait of Woodrow Wilson.

Good call. Not to mention the presidents, etc.. on coins. (roosevelt, EIsenhower, Jefferson).

Just a start...

There's a Ben Franklin Park, but it's in Ottawa. There's also a Franklin Children's Garden in Toronto.

Eisenhower Park, Mount Wilson, Los Angeles, CA

Thomas Jefferson is big in Philly. There's the Thomas Jefferson University bookstore, hispital...

You have the Andrew Jackson Language Academy in Chicago.

Dallas is Kennedy, so you could look at the Daeley Plaza that has a Kennedy museum on the sixth floor, or the JFK Memorial.

Lincoln Center in New York, or even Lincoln, NY!

I'd be really dissapointed if they held some sort super-neat live event in each of these cities at whatever special location is chosen...on a Monday. With four day's notice. :(

Closest to me is LA.

Well, I've trying to find any connection between Alexander Hamilton and Sao Paulo, but couldn't find anything so far. There are no banks, squares, museums, airports or the like, at least that I know of. We do have some Hamilton streets and avenues, since it's a common name around here (but pronounced differently), but they have names other than Alexander. So, I'm stuck.

There are many reasons, back in history, you could find something that James Madison did during the War of 1812, or Alexander Hamilton's Sao Paulo moment. I'm just saying that it's not out of the question that something US-based could be in these countries.

Also, keep our minds open, the addresses seem to be a slice of fried gold, but be careful, those cities we see blurred may be on purpose :)

Cleveland Ave in Dallas, TX

A Madison Hotel in Germany?

5 Lincoln Square

50 Kennedy Ave

50 Grant Ave
San Francisco, CA 94108

OK, I seriously have no idea how Europeans do addresses. I give up on that one.

Or Brazil. BLEH!

The ones for the states might be right but Kennedy Ave is a residential street, unless they are doing something at the Chapters that is near by on Bloor St. I can't really imagine what else there would be.

The Hamilton Streets might be it. Is there a 10 Hamilton Street, Sao Paolo???

Heh, even if it's Sunday, I'm still screwed. LA is a six hour drive. :D

I have a V8 Mustang, we can make it in 3 :woot:

Oh man, if it's on Sunday and we find out early enough to get out there and get back...I'm in.

Heh, at 80mph it's 4.5 hours. If the speed limit is 75mph the whole way (or most of it), and the cops typically don't bother you if you keep it under 10mph over the speed limit, 85-90mph would make it in three hours.

:D

I've made it in under 4 before. The trouble comes when we have to talk about WHERE in LA. Still, if it is a hunt, the only way to do it would be to drive over before anything is released, and try to camp out in the most central location and wait. But I am not sure if it will be a physical search. After all, with only 12 cities, this would be the smallest physical search, but it seems like they have been GROWING things (22 cake phones, 28 bowling balls, 30 packages), so it seems like online searching and code cracking. Still, if anyone is headed to LA, I certainly could be game!

so say it is something to do with banks, as you said we would need to figure out which banks, any ideas concerning this?

The banks could be on street names coinciding with the presidents.

This is going to sound lame, but there is a Jackson Park here in Chicago. Any other " " Park anywhere near the others?

random thought...
this whole thing with Gordon today, was it only to tie up loose ends regarding cops and harvey dent and whatnot..
because its kind of odd how we got the joker texts so quick from it, and how the joker mentioned gordon...
and the fact there was a joker card in the operation slipknot packages...
is there more to this than we think? are we still going to be discovering stuff regarding the cops and Gordon concerning joker's affiliation?

hmm..

Correct me if I'm wrong, but not all of those politicians are on currency - last time I checked, Teddy Roosevelt wasn't on anything, and neither was Eisenhower. I could be totally wrong, of course.

The problem with these names is that they're very common - for example, names like Lincoln, Kennedy, Jackson, Franklin, Grant, etc. - in the U.S., they match up with dozens of different locations and things: from towns, streets, bridges, and rivers, to companies even (i.e. Lincoln Financial, etc.) Using the names could literally be a clue to anything.

One thing I noticed - if you choose to view source on the page, the picture is called "presbackground.jpg," but not all of these men were presidents (Franklin, for instance, and Hamilton as well, if that's him on the far right in the second row.) Not sure if that's a clue or a mistake, but just throwing something in.

You may be right about the museum thing - there's a Franklin Institute in Philly.

for a shot i tried adding the amts and got 106,186.91 My first thought was an IP address, but we're missing 2 numbers... any thoughts?

106.1.86.91 could be an IP address.

But if it is, I couldn't browse to it or FTP in.

what if you added the 2 that are missing, the 500 and 10,000?

How about using the 12 as the missing numbers. Perhaps 1061869112 or 1210618691? I don't know where the dots would fit in though.
