the invisible hand (by a mile) in this episode pete uses his brain to exploit the weakness of his foe and you are also introduced to the bigman.
truly a 10/10 episode a gem amoungst gems.

invisible hand is the greatest ever episode of spiderman to air in any shape or form.

great use of rhino, exploiting his strength and his weakness

great use of norman getting profit of both ends of his projects

great use of the civilian school characters

great use of aunt may

phenomenal use of TOMBESTONE

classic use of MJ

It all blends together very smoothly. I will find it very hard to see that ep topped to be honest....

i seem to enjoy each episode more as the season progresses, so right now catalysts is my favorite. they NAILED goblin to a T in that. but i'm waiting for black cat to show (she's one of my favorites) before i really say anything.

Catalysts.

It's my favorite episode because they seemed to nail Green Goblin, and we finally see (albeit little) more interaction between Eddie Brock and Peter Parker.

Invisible Hand, because the Rhino we great and we get to see Tombstone and MJ.

Invisible Hand, because it proves that if you write non-A list villains (The Rhino/Tombstone) right, they can be just as or even more entertaining and threatening as the A-List villains. I always knew that this was possible with the right writer, and this episode proved that.

Invisible Hand. Never imagined a battle between Spidey and the Rhino would look so damn cool, to the point where i could now actually envision it in a live-action movie.

The Invisible Hand. Love the fight scenes with Rhino, love MJ's intro at the end.

Personally, I loved every episode so far. So, it's really really hard to choose, but if I had to choose one, I guess it would have to be The Invisible Hand. That episode was amazing and the fight between Spidey and Rhino was just so breathtaking! However, as I said, I lvoed each episode the same.

I love GG! But I voted Invisible Hand because of that long *** battle with Rhino and that awesome twist that no one was expecting...which was Tombstone.

As great as Catalysts was, my fav ep thus far is still The Invisible Hand. I've never seen Rhino done so well. In that one episode, he was done more justice than all of his appearances in STAS combined. Peter using his brain and finding out his weakness was brilliant. We also got the introduction of Captain Stacy, one of my favorite supporting characters. Also, we saw Tombstone who dished out the greatest 4 second owning of all-time. And then the end... MARY JANE!

I could not agree more. And I have been saying it for years, it's all about the writing and how you integrate certain characters into the overall story. Minor villains can take center stage if well written.

Just for the record, I have enjoyed each episode with a passion and I love each one so far for various reasons. But, if I had to pick one i will say Competition simply because it featured Sandman who did not grace the small screen in the 90's toon unlike everyone else so far. And he was very entertaining.

The Invisible Hand. I felt like I was Watching a Spidey comic written by Stan Lee.

The Invisible Hand seems to be the episode to beat this season. Hopefully they'll have one that tops it?

Judging by comments by Josh Keaton, I think we we might see one.

meh, they'll probably try and have a venom appearance top it but venom has become cliche and predictable...

Only person who could top it would be a decent apperance from ock and maybe even against the goblin.

I don't feel a sinister six ep on the horizon, sinister six against symbiote spidey would be fairly epic.

Sinister Six is most likely far away. Definitely not in the first season.

And I think this weeks episode could top The Invisible Hand.

Sinister Six have been confirmed by CC as the villains for "Group Therapy". Dock Ock, Rhino, Sandman, Shocker, Electro & Vulture.

Anyway, I'm gonna go with INTERACTIONS just cuz Electro has been pretty much the most sympathetic villain to date. (Except for maybe Lizard) He didn't turn himself into that monster, it just kind of happened by accident and now, everything he had planned for his life has gone down the drain. And worst of all, his breaking point seemed to be sPider-Man himself being a douche while he was just trying to get a cup of coffee.

I had a long think about all the spider-man incarnations on tv over the years

60's - spider-man, spider-man does what ever spider can
70's - live action tv show
80's - spider-man and his amazing friends/spider-man
90's - STAS/unlimited (UGH!)
00's - mtv/spectacular

imho the invisible hand is the best episode of spider-man I have EVER seen on tv, to top that epsiode then it will have to do something truly special.

Where've you been? The Sinister Six is in Group Therapy at the end of May.

I would say Competition and Natural Selection. I thought last Saturday's sucked. (The ending though with Harry drinking a vile of green liquid was cool.)

The Green Goblin in the 90's show was more menacing than this one. The voice was too deep and I thought the voice-actor was trying WAY TOO hard on trying to sound like Willem Dafoe.

So, I vote those two. I bet I'll get **** for saying I hated this weekend's episode though.

Competition & Natural Selection.

Competition - I like this series' version of the Flint Marko. Sandman's one of my favorite villains and this episode did him justice.

Natural Selection - The transformation scene was awesome, and the Lizard came off as a svagae killing machine similar to Sensation Spider-Man Vol.2's Feral arc. And the development of Eddie's character here was solid.

The Invisible Hand.
Rhino is one of my favorite villains...and see him breaking and smashing was just eye candy. he was awesome. so was Tombstone.

I disagree, I think Steven Blum used a great blend of the 90's crazy, psychotic voice, and the movie's sinister, menacing voice. For me, I'm not sure which episode is my favorite.

I too will have to vote for the Invisible Hand. That show had me at the edge of my seat the whole time. It was also the episode imo that sets the rest of the season up nicely. Just great, great stuff!

I'm liking the slow burn for Eddie too, especially in Catalyst :)

I didn't get a Willem Dafoe vibe from Gobby's voice at all, moreso of a Len Carlson Green Goblin (the voice of Gobby in the 60's show).

Yeah, I didn't either. How many different ways can the Goblin voice sound like. Is it suppose to be high pitched or sound like Barry White. It sounds menacing enough to me.

Interactions. I really don't like this spidey cartoon (the first one I don't like, yes I even liked Unlimited). However, I did enjoy Interactions. Catalysts was also good, though.

I've really liked all the shows, but man the last few have been great!

The GG, Doc Ock and now Black Spidey show have all been the best, to me.

Very well handled, you have Harry using the GG formula and it also works on the level of him taking drugs like in the comics.

I think the new show has handled the symbiote better than the movie.
Sam got too cheesy with Peter, and he didn't show his clothes change, but all the missed opportunities have been made up for in this great show.

The art style had to grow on me but it did quickly and I think it's better than the 90's show, even if it is a more simple style, the stories have been very good and even though there are some changes it is very much in the spirit of the original comics they always remind me of the early books.

2 thumbs up to TSSM.

Huzzah!

I love Batman but this show's better than The Batman was. Not as good as Batman TAS but close to its level in some ways.

I love Spidey again and it's thanks to this show, the 3rd movie and recent comics ruined Spidey for me but this show gave me something with Spider-Man to love again.
