SHH! Goal Line Blitz Team

Greetings all.

I dont want to take away from the Goal Line Blitz thread in the forum, this will be specifically for the creation of a team for SuperHero Hype! players.

When the teams are available for purchase, I will purchase one for us.
I figure, we need to do a little stratagizing here.
We dont want everyone to have all the same positions.

I personally have like 4 players and will own a separate team for my personal friends, as well as this Hype team.

At this time, lets make a list of all you who are willing to play.
(The next post will have a list of all the positions and the SHH Username (and the players name) for that position.

ALSO, make sure you are AVAILABLE to come to a new team in Season 3. Check when your contract ends.

STIPULATION WHICH HAS TO BE AGREED TO:
ALSO, I want EVERYONE to understand, this is how I am going to run the team finance wise. I want to pay the players bare minimum for the first season, so we can build out as much on the stadium as we possibly can. That being said, I wont completely short change you. I want every player here on the team, to make enough daily, to be able to pay for a NORMAL training with a few bucks to spare. This way you will always be making money. Also, it saves me money so we can build a bigger stadium faster, then I can give you guys much larger paychecks faster then other teams.

One Last Thing
If we happen to have multiple players for a position, we have to look at it from the aspect of the team. (for instance if there are 10 HB's I will take the top 3, sorry to the rest, but we cant have them all)

To be honest...not sure.
What will happen, is you will then be unavailable to us for the first 5 games.
I would say join them for 1 season.

The reason I say that, is its going to take us almost all the first season (season 3) to get ironed out with SHH players.
We can play with CPU players when needed. Remember, this is STRICTLY only a SHH Team. I will take NOONE from outside Hype!

I am going to try and get him on a team for the rest of the season only, though I may need to sign a one year contract. So I can level him up more and build his tool set.

Also my center, Fatty McPhatterson, is a Lvl 5 now and should be up to at least 7 by the end of the season.

That's my only concern. If we will be able to field a full team with just Hype members. Doesn't seem that too many are interested. :(

I believe they have changed the rules, you can only buy one at a time and you have to go back on a waiting list after each purchase. So the likelyhood of getting two teams, is low.

I'd be willing to buy one, if you wanted to use your one for your friends.

Also, my Center is at Lvl 7 now and just became the Starter. So he should be a Lvl 10 before Boosting, which realistically will make him a Lvl 13.

And, my kicker is up to Lvl 5 and starting on a CPU team, but leveling up slowly. So with a Boost, he should be at least a Lvl 9.

We will be adding some more teams that are available to buy during this coming off-season, but not before. The new teams will not be in the USA region. We will be filling out the other regions and adding other regions first.

We might do a waiting list based on account creation date, but that has not been decided for sure yet.

Here's something to think about too...will we be a running team or a passing team?
The sooner we know which way our O is going, the sooner people who have current players can start upgrading them to fit the SHH style of play.

Most of the better teams, looking at the USA Pro League, are balanced. Maybe favoring the pass a little. Definitely need a pocket QB type, with a elusive HB and a hard running/blocking fullback. Everyone else pretty standard.

Most important is stamina, everyone should get that as high as possible while working on other skills. Infact, I only train stamina. It keeps you in the game longer and helps you level up faster.

Well, as Badger said, stamina is a major thing in the game.
Since players get experience points based on playing time, not how good they play, stamina is a key thing to build up your guy.

Here's something I found cruising the forums. Might be of some use to help those just starting along a bit...

General Tips

Stamina
Stamina is crucial for any player. It doesn’t matter how good your player is if he is warming the bench. Furthermore, you get XP based on how many plays you play, not what you do during them. So being on the field is key. Here are some specific guidelines:

Offensive players - these do not tire as quickly as defensive players.

QB

Level 1 - 14
Level 2 - 17
Level 5 - 21
Level 10 - 25
etc.

WR, TE, O-linemen

Level 1 - 16
Level 2 - 19
Level 5 - 25
Level 10 - 30
etc.

Defensive players and HB - they tire easily so they need a little more.

Level 1 - 16
Level 2 - 20
Level 5 - 26
Level 10- 32
etc.

Punters and Kickers - these do not tire much at all so they do not need as much stamina.

Level 1 - 8
Level 2 - 8
Level 3 - 9
Level 4 - 10
Level 5 - 11
etc.

All these numbers can be adjusted about a point or two, but if you have, for example, a level 2 C with stamina 30 that is probably a waste at that level.

Special Abilities
Special Abilities enhance your physical attributes. Thus without physical attributes they do not do much. The importance of Special Abilities varies from position to position.

- Very Important (add about 1 Special Ability point for every 3 you put into physical attributes) - K, P

-Important (add about 1 Special Ability point for every 4 or 5 you put into physical attributes) - QB, HB, WR, TE, O-line, D-line

-Not so Important (add about 1 Special Ability point for every 6-8 you put into physical attributes) - LB, CB, SS, FS

Also note that when you fill out the tree, you cannot put more than twice the previous number in the next box. For example, a QB’s Passing tree looks like this:

Pocket Presence -> Tight Spiral -> Pump Fake -> Turn Shoulder -> Field General

You cannot put 1 point in Pocket Presence and 3 points in Tight Spiral. You would have to put 2 points into Pocket Presence before the 3 in Tight Spiral would have any effect.

At this early stage in your player's development it is better to pick one tree and focus on it rather than trying to balance it all out between both trees, You can try to balance it, but your player will have a more solid immediate impact if you focus first then add balance later.

Boosting
You can boost your player up to 3 levels per season. You will need flex points to do this, which you can get by either purchasing them or by getting referrals.To do this Click on the Flex Points tab at the top of the page then where it says Level Up a Player, click boost and it will give you a drop down box where you select which player to level up and how many levels (up to 3) you want to boost him. It cost the same amount per level to boost a player as it cost to create him.

Custom Equiptment
You can make a piece of custom equitpment that increases any one attribute or combination of attributes +6. The cost is 100 FPs per +1, so a piece of custom equiptment that is +6 would cost 600 FPs. You can only use 1 piece of custom equiptment so don’t create two for the same player. That would be a waste of FPs.

Positions Guide

Here is a key...

Position: Some I have divided into categories (eg.Power vs. Speed/Elusive HB)

Key Physical Attributes: These are the attributes which are the most important for creating a player at this position.

Other Important Physical Attributes: These are the attributes which are important for creating a player at this position, but not as important as the Key Attributes

Special Abilitites I have grouped this into 3 categories
Very Important: Special Abilities are critical for the player's success. Make sure they are filled early and often(add about 1 Special Ability point for every 3 you put into physical attributes) - K, P

Important: Special abilities are about as important as physical abilities. Pick a tree and add abilities to it regularly (add about 1 Special Ability point for every 4 or 5 you put into physical attributes) - QB, HB, WR, TE, O-line, D-line

Somewhat Important: You should focus on physical abilities and add special abilities more sparingly (add about 1 Special Ability point for every 6-8 you put into physical attributes) - LB, CB, SS, FS

Other Advice: Any other tips about making this position.

Other Advice: Agility is key for your speed to be used to it's maximum potential. Vision as well helps quite a bit with finding holes and cut backs.

Elusive/Speed HB
Key Physical Attributes: Speed, Agility, Vision
Other Important Physical Attributes: Strength, Carrying
Special Abilitites: Important - Focus on the Elusive Back abilities
Other Advice: Speed is the key to this type of HB. Pump the speed way up.

Dual Threat Runing/Catching HB
Key Physical Attributes: Agility, Catching, Vision
Other Important Physical Attributes: Speed, Carrying, Strength
Special Abilitites: Important - Focus on the balancing point between both trees
Other Advice: This type of player is tough to build well and takes a very specialized game plan to uutilize his skills effectively. Since you are trying to balance attribute points it may take a while before your HB reaches the same level of effectiveness as more specialized HB at the same level.

Rushing FB
Key Physical Attributes: Agility, Strength, Vision
Other Important Physical Attributes: Carrying, Blocking
Special Abilitites: Important - Focus on the Offensive abilities
Other Advice:

Blocking FB
Key Physical Attributes: Blocking, Strength, Vision
Other Important Physical Attributes: Aglity
Special Abilitites: Important - Focus on the Blocking abilities

Speed WR
Key Physical Attributes: Speed, Agility
Other Important Physical Attributes: Catching, Vision, Jumping
Special Abilitites: Important – Focus on Speedster abilities

Possession WR

Find a human owned team, any contract from them voids the CPU one. Though that can be problematic as well, since you will then be tied to that contract for at least one season.

As long as you give a player enough to buy equipment (if they need it) and train on the normal setting on a daily basis, I see no grips with it. :up:

Couple of tips though: Don't get to carried away with the Special Abilities, work on the core skills for your position and get your stamina above 20. The more stamina, the longer you stay on the field and that will help you level faster.

Special Abilities don't really pay big dividends until you get your level above 10 or so.

What was your lvl? With the league the we got assigned to we had to have higher lvl players to compete. Simple as that. Take it personal if you'd like, but there's no need to.

Play on a team where you'd get playing time, build your player up and return to the team when your level is a par with the league the SHH team is in.

I know the guy who took my place is more of a reciving TE, but somebody has to do the blocking on short yard plays and goal line situation. So, good luck with the "hype team"

Yeah, your canning really surprised me. I could see it if you were down in the depth chart, but you weren't. And you were the better blocking TE, and a higher level than the current backup. Not to mention a Hype member, which I'm pretty sure he isn't. :huh:

Yeah, out of all the cuts this one is certainly perplexing. Yeah, Malice or one of the GM's brought in a higher level TE. That'll happen. But trading you over the lvl 10 TE is wrong IMO, especially since that player had three other players on the team.

I think Malice needs to just state for the record that this is not a SHH team anymore. He had good intentions. But when they added the lottery for teams and he couldn't buy two teams, that threw a wrench in the whole deal. So now he's more interested in winning and having some of his friends on the team as well, which it's his team so that's his right. So balancing the three things is probably not doable, and something (SHH) had to give.

Anyway, I'm going to throw this out there. I am in line for a team (albeit way way back) and I'm willing to take some lumps while we build a SHH Team, if anyone is still interested. I promise any SHH player will have a home on the team if they stay active, keep improving their player, and their player's level is close to the average level of the team.

I will be making some new players for this team, because I'd like to leave my current ones where they are. So if you want to make this happen and are willing to make some players, please do so. It will probably be at least next season before I get a team, so it would give new players time to get their levels up.

Let me know if you all are interested and I will make it happen. Either way I will be getting a team at some point, so if there is no interest that's fine.

I'd like to get at least 20 players from Hype Members to start, that would be the goal anyway. That would be a nice core to build from.

Well, I won't speak for Malice, that was just the way I looked at it. I might be completely wrong. Maybe he'll explain it or maybe he won't, at this point it's pretty obvious it is no longer a SHH Team. Overall it's a good team to play for, since everyone on the team is active, it's just to bad things turned out like they did.

No... it is his right, it's his team. It was originally his idea, so I deferred to him when he said he'd do it again. Now what happened between then and now, only he can answer. But, he can run his team as he deems to. Doens't mean anyone has to like it or dislike it, it just the way this cookie crumbled.

Well, if I understand it correctly, you can bring whomever, there's just a chemistry hit for bringing in players to high over the average of the league. I have it set to give me a lower level league so we could include every hype player possible, at least a lvl 8 though.
