Does anyone know if theres gonna be a comic adaption this time around? I know Marvel seemed to have stopped making theres and many fans dont find them that great but i enjoy them. Also anyone know who's making the Trading cards?

Once i find out a mod can feel free to merge, but i'd be grateful if this get's kept open for acouple of hours at least. Thanks.:yay:

So no actual Adaption of the movie? Shame, i really like those.

Look's like DC are doing what Marvel are doing.

Not necessarily. DC put out adaptations for both "Batman Begins" and "Superman Returns". It's likely that there will be one for "The Dark Knight".

You know what I'd like to see for a comic adaption? Not an abbreviated version of the script with cheesey art trying to look like the actors in the film.

It would be cool if they got an actual comic artists to for once to the entire adaption in their style, like basically telll the Nolan story in the comic verse with someone like Sale's or Lee's art. You know?

That would be awesome. Sale (perfect Two-Face) or Bolland or Bermejo (both draw awesome Jokers) drawing it would be awesome.

I also don't get why some are abbreviated versions of the story. If anything they should be extended, and include things that can't feasibly be done on film or would have made the movie go over budget.

That will never happen. It'll always be novice artists trying to duplicate the shots and actors faces. Such is the sad fate of movie/tv comic adapatations.

Did you ever see the Batman 1989 comic adaption art by Jerry Ordway, that art was just beautiful.

Well, the Spider-Man adaptation was written by Stan Lee and drawn by Allan Davis. And the X-Man adaptation was very "comic booky."

So...

Not always true. I think Mark Bagley drew the 2003 "Hulk" adaptation.

Probably the best adaptations ever are the ones for Star Wars since they were over 100 pages just enough to tell the epic sagas. Return Of The Jedi and Revenge Of The Sith were shortened to 64 pages.

Batman 1989 probably has the best in terms of actors' likenesses down to a tee.

What makes me mad is that it is exclusive to blu-ray... and I don't feel like dishing out the money for a blue-ray player and hi-def TV... or jsut buying the dvd set without being able to actually play it, jsut to have that single comic...

There will be no comic adaption, because on www.dccomic.com, there is no in July or August, and in the Previews Catalogue, there is no for July.
Most unlikely, if there is a comic adaption some time after the movie, because who will buy that?

There will be a comic book adaptation of the film. There was a snippet from an article released stating that there would be a comic book adaptation a while ago... it also mentioned coffee table books if you guys remember.

I'm guessing the adaptation of the prologue that comes with the Blu-Ray gift set is going to just be the first couple of pages of the actual adaptation.

I'd say the Batman 89 adaptation was the best in terms of art, Batman Forever was very good, and Returns was nice as well. Batman and Robin's and Batman Begins' adaptations sucked.

The date is iffy, but the title and design for the character (http://www.worldsfinest.it/public/batman/articoli/files/2007/2031_bj_2.jpg) lead me to believe that this may be connected to the film.

That has nothing to do with the movie. It's a Brian Azzraello/Lee Bermejo book along the lines of Lex Luthor: Man Of Steel. The spiritual sequel to it.

I don't see why he cant be both. He should be misguided in his intentions with Superman, not trusting him. But that's understandable. What's not understandable should be the extreme jealousy that he has that goes hand in hand with his mistrust. Up until Superman arrived, he was Metropolis' hero, despite all the shady dealings he had going on in private. And then this alien we know nothing about other than his saying he's "here to help" shows up, and all of a sudden, Luthor, who built this damn city, is old news. I think that's how Luthor works best...But, I digress :)

Is this offer exclusive to Wal-Mart website only or will it be in the stores as well? Will it be available in different stores like Best Buy or Circuit City?
