Black Cat the Vamp... The "I Love Black Cat" Thread

I LOVED this version of Black Cat. The subtle and not-so-subtle innuendos, the design, the "cat eyes" goggles, everything. The "kitty sense is purrrrring" line was hilarious and inspired at the same time. I hated Felicia and her black cat story in the 90's series, but always enjoyed the character in the 80's Spidey comics.

Anyone else out there a fan of Spec's Black Cat? Declare your love here!

(and this thread is not for "she's a rip off of Catwoman" rants, because it isn't true. Do some history research, and you'll discover that Catwoman ripped off Black Cat. Catwoman is an older character, but the sneak-thief burglar, skintight outfit, and nympho personality didn't appear in a Batman comic til several years AFTER Black Cat appeared in Spider-Man. Before that, Catwoman was just a regular villain who committed grand schemes involving big cats, and wore a miniskirt.)

Yeah. I'll agree with this too. Though I on the other hand, loved Felica's portrayal in the 90s series. I think Cat's going to be great in SSM. Which seems like a reasonable hypothesis based on her debut.

Yea black cat is cool i havent read to many 616 spidey stories with her in it, also yea with BND we dont know how much of 616 history is altered from when peter and mj were to marry in the late 80s through current day so which heros and which villains known his id is currently not known. I wish marvel would put out a special issue telling us 616 spidey's full altered history and all that.

A great character when written well and I feel that this show is doing so. My favorite incarnation of her is the original by Wolfman through Mantlo (before their lame excuse to write her out) and the one that Kevin Smith, Mark Millar and Dan Slott reworked her as before BND ****ed that up too.

Seems like it. I talked to my comic store owner a while ago about it and he says Campbell is just massively egotistical. He actually met JSC. He doesnt care that fan are waiting for his book, he'll get it done when he wants to.

I enjoyed the Black Cat episodes so far, they were few, so its hard to say they were great, but i love how they treat the character.

The Black Cat has always been one of my favorite supporting Spidey characters, early she was a very interesting character in the comics, but as time has gone by, she has really came into her own, being a very mulit demensional character (The Evil that Men Do being one of my favorite stories).
