Plot Summary: Based on the best-selling book by Greg Behrendt and Liz Tuccillo.
The Baltimore-set movie of interconnecting story arcs deals with the challenges of reading or misreading human behavior. Jennifer Connelly plays a woman stuck in a tired marriage with Cooper's character. Kevin Connolly, meanwhile, is a man pining after a woman, still not cast, who is having an affair with Cooper.

Goodwin is a young woman obsessed with Kevin Connolly's character who tries to set up accidental meetings with him only to run across his friend, played by Long, who takes her on as a "My Fair Lady" experiment.

Barrymore plays a woman perpetually confused by dating, now more than ever in a culture that is more obsessed with technology than actual human contact.

I laughed twice. Maybe three times. It's a short trailer.

They seem to really be selling the film on who is in it (*doesn't look like Drew Barrymore has anything to do).

Jennifer Goodwin. Probably the only reason to see this movie. I'm such a sucker for that pretty face.

But it's Ginnifer not Jennifer!

I'll watch this for Connelly and Johansson when the dvdrip hits the net.

Trailer needs more Drew.

Funny thing... Movie is based on a book that was based on a line in a Sex and the City episode.

I'm guessing this thread goes in here since it's being released in 2008? Not sure, and I didn't see another thread for it.

At any rate, this comedy is based off of the book "He's Just Not That Into You," which I actually own but have only skimmed. The concept is that there are many women out there who think potential love interests are crazy about them, when the guys really aren't interested at all. In this film, "a hard-line advice guy falls for a woman who seeks him out because she can't figure out the men in her life."

This movie will be released October 24, 2008, and stars Jennifer Aniston, Scarlett Johansson, Jennifer Connelly, Bradley Cooper, and Ben Affleck (among others).

Ben Affleck is acting again? I thought he finally gave up and passed the torch to his brother.

That's b/c there are to many common words in the title, when trying to find the thread you're looking for use the least common word associated with it, for instance i found this thread by using 'Affleck' as the search word. :yay:

I enjoyed Love Actually and I don't usually watch those type of films but the multiple subplots keep it interesting .

This seems like a lot of big names for this type of movie, but LOVE ACTUALLY is fantastic, so...

I really despise the book this film is based on. It's basically the rules but re-written "SASSIER!". Since this will become an airplane movie, I will wait to see it since I will inevitably get trapped on a flight where they are showing it.

Saw this film on Friday...it was FANTASTIC! I haven't enjoyed a new chick flick movie in many years, but this one was charming, funny, and offered some more realistic views on dating. Not everything was happy, but enough still was to keep the plot from being a bummer. The cast was wonderful, as well. I recommend it to guys and girls

How was Barrymore for those who have seen it? She usually is annoying as ****.

Hey, this is coming from a woman who hates a lot of romantic comedies. :o I wasn't kidding about the not seeing a good romance in a while...I'm talkin perhaps around 5 years lol.

I hadn't planned on seeing this in theaters, but it was my mom's birthday, and she wanted to see it. It was such a pleasant surprise.

Barrymore wasn't one of the more prominent characters in the movie, but I thought her character was funny. I love her, though, so I dunno if you'd find her annoying or not. Either way, she wasn't onscreen nearly enough to make anyone dislike the entire film due to her.

How was Scar Jo?

She was good. I'm normally pretty mediocre regarding her, but she really played her role well. I morally despised the "character" she played, and yet she still managed to make the character feel relateable.

Oh, and as incentive for the men- she shows the most skin in this film, by far. You will see grabbing of butt and boobage, and a nude pool scene (they don't show anything X-rated, though).

I said boobage, not nippleage.

Why ?

Her character seduces and falls in love with a married man, and essentially tries to get him to leave his wife because she figures SHE is the woman he's supposed to be with.

His wife finds out, they go through a rough patch, and she divorces him. He ends up alone at the end of the movie.

Aw man, don't read this unless you want the ending of the movie spoiled, haha. Well, at least for this particular subplot.

No, he's full of ********. Of course he enjoys the sex, but he isn't willing to leave his wife, and she ends up alone. Super more spoiler: He ends up alone, too

I saw this movie last night and I found it pretty entertaining. I thought the cast was a bit random, but actually worked well together. The stories seemed to linger a bit and some parts of the movie were better than others. Overall, I would definitely recommend the movie if you love romantic-comedies.

Saw this a couple days ago and it was ok, lots of people complain about the running time but i didnt seem to notice.

the main girl however, was beyond psycho and borderline annoying, i think she was played by Ginnifer Goodwin. Justin Long was completely believable as a bartending ladies man, which is ironic considering his many past roles as the goofy nerd. Barrymore was barely in the movie which was surprising, but i think her gay friends were actually more entertaining than she was... good date movie.

I did find myself checking my watch towards the end of the movie to see what time it was since it seems like quite a long movie. I also have to agree, Justin Long was impressive. He definitely doesn't come off as the "hot, cool" guy, but he played his role perfectly. Gigi -- no comment on her.
