WOW!! That was pretty sick!! A nice mix of the movie and the old series..Well the part with the talking head kinda reminded me of the nightmare Pete was having back then. But that could just be me.

But the obvious shot from SM3 looked REALLY great in animation form.:wow:

A whole week of excitment and waiting for Group Therapy...and now they have to tease me for another week.:csad:

It's only talking to Peter in that voice because it's Peter's own voice electronically altered. When it bonds to Brock it will probably talk in Brock's voice (which is already deep) only electronically altered.

Or, it may talk in both Peter AND Brock's voices combined...

Also i enjoyed the way the symbiote talk to peter and it probably kept peter from listening from MJ when she said May had a heart attack because he wasn't all suprised at all untill he heard that she was in the hospital,this just show that the symbiote is becoming completely bonded with peter.

um yes there is, Peter talks about how Venoms voice creeps him out because its got this double echo type thing where he hears Eddies voice as well as an altered monster voice

His comic balloons are stylized so his speech seems more aggressive and vicious. Like a beast.

Okay, just some random thought : when I see the preview, I don't understand how Peter could escape all by himself :woot: . Is it possible that he could be helped by Gwen or Eddie? The two had a chance to look at the symbiote, perharps that in the short time they studied it, they discovered about its weakness to soundwaves? And so could be the ones to ring the bells in the church?

Understand. The whole Honey I'm Home thing in the comics was hilarious because for one thing Peter and MJ are married. They live together. She knows he is spiderman. She has been aware he wore the black suit. A guy showing up at her house dressed as Peter in a costume he wore was the gag. Saying Honey I'm Home is generally something a husband says to his wife. It's a play on that. It was executed well in the comics. Brock is basing an assumption that there is more going on between MJ and Peter seeing them at the formal. There is no romantic relationship between Pete and MJ. Venom knocking on MJ's door saying Honey I'm Home would be beyond corny in a cartoon that has delivered great lines and quips thus far.

With Aunt May in the hospital, and Eddie's friendship with Peter ruined, Pete's life becomes worse when the alien symbiote intends on taking over him. Now, the friendly neighborhood webswinger must overcome this menace within him, or he'll lose his own mind in the process.

As much as I like this show, hmmm...the 90's still trumps it. Early days however.

I just feel they're trying to implement things too quickly. It feels slightly off...in particular the Eddie/Peter relationship feels quite odd- he doesnt seem to have that much of a valid motivation to hate Peter.

well the arch isnt over yet we could be seeing the reasons on eddie's downfall and hatred to peter shown/explained more in episode 12 and 13.

I'm slightly worried eddie's being rushed here.

i'm not convinced by his actions to eddie being significant enough or how eddie's reactions aren't some mild overreaction.

Now if they had said eddie was with his aunt phoning him and the symbiote had answered but never showed up at the hospital and they saw the pics of him taking out the sinister six, I could see where the rage may have come from. The MJ bike thing as well as his relatively slow character progression has puzzled me.

As for this ep, it seems fine but the symbiote has yet to come across as evil, manipulative but not evil and not particularly overly aggresive either. Maybe he won't become aggresive until peter wants rid of him but i've always preferred the more modern approach to the aggressive black spiderman so while this is more in line with the comics. meh.

in resposne to episodes being delayed i used to think and still do that on certain holiday weekends they play repeats because they know people go away on vactions and such and dont wanna lose viewership...at least thats my theory ...if im not mistaken the last rerun we had was over memorial day weekend...again justa theory..it makes sense in my head lol

about the repeats, did the first arc play completely or did we get repeats during it? If not i think it would have been better to not start another arc until all the episodes in that arc are finished, and then do the necessary repeats until the following arc is completleted. Well it's confirmed our suspicions that there won't be a major bad guy for him to fight in the episode, his real enemy will be himself.

I hope it's made clear that the symbiote only got as powerful as it did by feeding off of Peter's own negative emotions, so he really is fighting the product of his own darkness. Otherwise it's just "Spidey vs Alien goo" instead of "Spidey vs something that is part-alien but also part his own negativity".

That picture of Spidey scaling the building might be one of the deleted scenes, who knows. But it's possible that it might make an appearance in the next episode, because the inner battle won't start right at the beginning of the episode, at least that would make sense.
