Roberto Orci reported that they were aiming for 10 bots and 10 cons for the movie, however there would be numerous name-less bots to be seen.

Actually, I wouldn't mind if there were more Autobots than Decepticons. If we follow the cartoon, the Decepticons were built for war, while the Autobots were just working robots. So a single Decepticon would be more of a threat than the average Autobot.

Even if I don't like the current cartoon, I like how they mostly use teamwork to fight the Decepticons.

i think this will be like star wars episode 2. you have the main jedis. but at the end there is a big fight and all the other jedis jump in the fight. i think that there will be a lot of robots that will be there only for fighting.only for the last battle.

you need to top the final battel from the first movie. so how do you do that? imagine soldiers. imagine all robots that fight like soldiers. 10 on 10. epic music. this needs to own.

I don't know if that was actually part of the cartoon or the comics, but Autobots were supposed to be just working type robots. I know there are some guys around here who are very versed in Transfomers history and could probably shed some more light on the Autobot's background.

I heard that Bay doesn't want to use the Dinobots and the Constructicons(maybe because they already used up Bonecrusher and Devastator, which is a good thing...there shouldn't be a TF that's bigger in size than Megatron), and I heard the only new TF to be in it so far is Soundwave(in an interview way back when the first movie came out), but I would like to see Skorponok return also...it would be pointless to not have that TF not show up and make him just stay in Qatar...or, perhaps they could have some soldiers see a dead Skorponok, which will lead to new foundings on how a TF is created, etc.

Devastator in the first movie was a production error. Its really Brawl. Who is one of the constructicons. In the comic Reign of Starscream in the flashback of the first movie they correct this and call him Brawl, so hopefully if there is another constructicon, more will follow and eventually they will combine to form Devastator.

I don't know about the movie comics but in G1 Brawl was one of the Combaticons. The combaticons were the team that made up the combiner "Bruticus" and they were all military type vehicles.

Devastator is definatly not going to be in this film because that would defeat the purpose of the title! The enemy in this film is obviously going to be the Fallen (who is infact, bigger than Megatron) it's already been confirmed by Micheal Bay and people involved with the film. I'm sorry, but if Devastator was in this film (a character who has the potential to defeat both Megatron, Optimus and the Fallen) it would ruin the whole movie.

I know its a shame, but it also why i'm surprised we havent heard anything about Ultra Magnus and Shockwave, both are pretty popular, but yet dont look like they have made it into this movie.

In the old cartoon it's the other way around. Megatron does something to Starscream and kicks him out or banishes him, Starscream is on a island with a bunch of old WW2 vehicles and he brings them to life to from Bruticus to take on Megatron and Devastator
