I hope you are right but to be fair, he does say he doesn't know who it is. He (same with us) is aware of the CaptaiN america movie being developed and he could have been speculative about them casting a great actor.

When? When he said "I can't tell you, 'cause I don't know - but wait til you see who they get, I'm sure he'll be great!"? That, to you, is a confirmation that Captain America is in TIH?

Considering we only saw a snippet of him naming superheroes and which actor is playing them, I think it's safe to say that he wasn't talking about everyone being in this movie.

That'd be cool, but I doubt it. I look forward to seeing Cap soon, though.

Wow... so now we are turing to San Lee for movie information? Just wow... all he was doing was implying that Marvel is thinking big for Captain America... that doesn't even mean Cap will be in this film.

Uh, yeah. "Wait 'til you see who's Captain America", then a quick backtrack, confirms for me that Cap is in the movie.

Personally, i hope he's not (its too early). But it certainly sounds like Stan knows something, yeah.

I think because of his grandfather the Obama conversation was relevant. I'm not so sure about them asking Liv Tyler though.

I'm pretty sure Stan was referring to the current Marvel franchises. he said "You've got Downey Jr, Ed Norton, just wait to see who we get as Captain America" he wasn't referring to TIH specifically.

Could this be the extra 2 minutes that seems to have been added onto the runtime???

I'm glad that marvel is focused on making better films than on how many they can make. I'm excited with all the excellent actors they're getting!

That's how I took it too. It was a typical ambiguous quote from Stan Lee. He was definitely talking about the current franchises, and dropping the fact that Captain America is coming up soon as well.

I don't believe for a second that Liv Tyler was ever "obsessed with the TV show." :whatever:

And Stan's quote was just hype. Stan being Stan.

But didn't the director of TIH confirm on G4 that Cap is in the movie?

I know for a fact that he did because I saw the interview and we do know that there is scene in Anartica

.

Haha.

But in all fairness, Kenneth Johnson said on the commentary that the largest demographic of the tv shows ratings were 'Woman', then Men, then kids...

Actually at this point it seems the arctic scene was cut from the movie. Also LL has a tendency to mix his words, remember the 26 minute final battle? That was his words getting mixed and he meant 26 minute final act.

He did say it and hopefully the arctic scene is in the movie an that's where we get a glimpse of him or at least Hulk tossing him in ice. :word:

Captain America won't be out for two years. I doubt they even have the final design of the costume nailed down yet.

Don't get your hopes up.

All he said was that Captain America would kick ass when they get the movie done. He's not in TIH. Closest thing, for now, is Blonksy.

Stan definitely knows something about Captain America whether he's in the movie or not. You could clearly see him backtracking after saying "Just wait till you see who is Captain America".

Even though I think this is all muchado about nothing... something is fishy... these extra two minute run time just seems fishy to me. Not saying we'll get a full body Cap cause we won't... but something with that artic scene... it just feels like there is something to that scene. Could be Cap... could be the suicide scene... who knows..

How anyone could assume otherwise from this ET comment is beyond me. Stan's talking about Marvel's slate of films in general. Geez, no wonder eye witness testimony can never be trusted. People see and hear what they want to hear.

I don't really believe there will be any Captain America involvement in TIH past a reference like his shield in Iron Man, but I do think that it would be amazing if we saw Cap's frozen body in Antarctica. They could show his frozen body without really revealing his face so it wouldn't matter who they finally cast.

If they're gonna be using the super-soldier serum, I'm hoping they mention something about a soldier from back in the '40s. It'd be so fricking cool if they went as far as to say the name "Steve Rogers".

If you really want to know about Captain America in the film

There is no mention of Steve Rogers or the name Captain America in the movie. But there is an indirect reference. I can post more if you really want to be spoiled.

Screeners don't count... only the theatrical view will give us the final answer.
