I really want hate this movie... It has everything that ****ty summer movies do... Popping in a bunch of name actors, lots of money shots, half-baked cgi, and ridculously stupid story... But its got charm... it really does :D

That trailer is unbearably awesome - and see? Morgan Freeman IS evil!!! Woot!!!

I like that new scene at the ATM, with the machine telling Wesley he's an a-hole. It seems like something that would have come right out of the comic.

Morgan Freeman curses is all I needed to hear to make me go see this and I want to see the part with the keyboard to the face.

lots of name actors? angelina jolie, and um... yeah, that morgan freeman, he really puts butts in theater seats, doesn't he? when i want to see action movies, i immediately think freeman.

lots of moneys shots? well, yeah. it's an action movie.

half baked cgi? if by half-baked, you mean some of the more inventive, creative, and just plain kick ass cgi shots since the original matrix, then sure, i agree. and there wasn't hardly a bad cgi shot in that trailer. it was all pretty damn well done.

ridiculously stupid story? how so? it's no Shakespeare, sure, but a far as action movies go, it's pretty standard stuff. sure, the whole "curve the bullet" thing is a little goofy, but no more so than "bend the spoon, free your mind, etc." it all just serves to put awesome action on the screen, and this movie looks to have that in spades.

and as far as having charm? you're damn right it does... really, it's got the feel of fight club, the kinetic energy of the matrix, and the ridiculously breathtakingly original cinematography of night and day watch. and there's nothing wrong with any of that.

I don't have a problem with "name actors" in a project when they FIT the project; it's when they're obviously shoehorned in as a poor choice, just to add "marquee value" that they bug the hell out of me (i.e. "Ben Affleck is Daredevil"! "George Clooney is Batman!", etc.). Angelina Jolie really seems to fit the character of Fox extremely well, personality-wise, so I'm totally OK with it. And yes, the fact that she's smokin' hot doesn't hurt either. :woot:

Oh, and as far as "charm"? I don't know if I'd say "Wanted" has "charm"; I'd go with "charisma" instead. Charm says "I'm so cute, I'll make you smile in spite of my flaws". Charisma says "I'm so damn sexy, I'm going to seduce you into seeing me and then rock your socks off all night long." :word:

No problem; I like to check out Trailer Addict to see what new stuff they've come out with every now and then, and I stumbled across that. They've also got the Russian version of the red band trailer there; it's pretty much the same, but their version also has this awesome shot of a sniper firing a long range rifle with some sort of mechanical bullet (it falls apart in stages as it flies, like an ICBM) and you watch the bullet fly right through some guy's head! Very cool.
