I see some Gina Gershon in that Black Widow picture.... but she's obviously too old... I still can't think of anyone better than a Mila Jovovich.... type casting I know... but she'd give some female presence in the Avengers movie next to Wasp... I don't think we need Black Widow in IM2.

I don't think that Angelina Jolie would make a good Black Widow. The role should go to, as others stated, an unknown actress. Even better... let Marvel select a real Russian actress. Jovovich sounds good but how about Chulpan Khamatova, Anna Kovalchuk or Marina Aleksandrova. I haven't seen many movies with the names I listed but their pics and resume look good.

Super-heroines, especially one as complex and dangerous as Natasha, need actresses who have the complete package IMO.

Sorry to all who think otherwise, but Jolie is one of few who could launch the franchise. I think Marvel should look at a 80-90 million picture with her BEFORE the Avengers movie.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but Tomb Raider was not that succesful. And Jolie is Jolie in every movie, as if she can't "transform" as any good actress! Check few Jolie movies and check, say, few Conelly or Beckinsale movies, and then compare who can pull of more different characters!

I'm realy not that thrilled of the idea of making any Marvel movie to be just a star vehicle! Sorry! It'l just probbably be like LXG where Connery was a star and everybody else were kind like glorified extras! Just my oppinion, of course!
