Well, if I have to choose one, I'll choose "Group Therapy".

Tho all of the other episodes (without "Nature vs Nurture") were really nice and exciting too, this show is excellent as a whole.

I voted for Competition. I found this episode to be my favorite of season 1. I found the plot very interesting, which was also accompanied by some intense action scenes. I was never really a fan of Sandman, but I found this version to be awesome. Simply put, I had a blast watching this episode.

Uncertainty Principle and Intervention are tied for me. But I voted UP because of GG :oldrazz:

Intervention. Perhaps the single best animated Spider-Man episode of all time.

"Group Therapy" was mindblowingly awesome.

"Uncertainty Principle" for the best portrayal of Spidey's greatest enemy!

"Group Therapy" for a spectacular action and an inventive approach to the storytelling.

"The Invisible Hand" for a such a great sum of all the things that happened in that episode... and two best introductions: Tombstone and Mary Jane.

"Intervention" for something different from the whole season and a great way to show the origin.

"Nature vs Nurture" for Venom's voice and amazing one-on-one fight.

"Persona" for a classic Chameleon.

And every other episode for bringing all the classic villains and adapting those stories in a modern way, but staying true to their true nature.
So I guess it should also be a multiple choice :)

I am surprising myself by saying this but my favorite episode has to be "Group Therapy", it was simply exciting all the way through. Venom's episode takes the second position, since it had the most brutal fight sequence, and I personally loved every moment when Spider-man got his butt kicked.

Group Therapy.

I've been wishing for years to see the Sinister Six done right on screen with Doc Ock leading them.

This really should be multiple choice i mean there so many to choose from. I loved them all but my favorite 2 is Natural selections because of the nice fight scene of the lizard and parker and of course i liked nature vs. nurture i mean what not to like about this eppy?.:whatever:

For the folks who keep saying this should be multiple choice;

Okay, pretend that a bank is being robbed. Everyone in the bank has been taken hostage by the robbers. And YOU have been called into help! The only way that the robbers will free the hostages is to tell them your favorite Spectacular Spider-Man episode. And it has to be one. Which episode do you pick?

I think it's a three-way tie between "Group Therapy", "Natural Selection", and "Nature vs. Nature."

"Group Therapy" because the Sinister Sixth seemed to work better as a team than in the 90's series.

"Natural Selection" because like the MTV series, I felt that Pete was in real danger. And their origin of the Lizard was very well-done.

"Nature vs. Nature" I liked because I loved the Eddie playing with Pete's head and the number of beatings/fights Peter and Eddie had for each other.

I was torn between The Invisible Hand and Group Therapy but went with the former. I never thought a Rhino episode would be my favorite.

1. Catalysts: Green Goblin was introduced and was badass, but more importantly the development of Peter's relationship with the supporting cast, Harry starting to succumb to drugs, questioning Harry's coupability as GG and the awesome intro to MJ most of all made this the best for me.

2. Natural Selection: Lizard rocked. Maybe not as good as Night of the Lizard, but the action was better and it was the one episode besides Group Therapy that I felt Spidey was really getting his ass kicked. I mean he was pushed to the edge and worked well with Brock and the Lizard deciding to try to eat Billy instead of succumbing to reason. Best of all was the finale that featured Peter making a really stupid mistake and losing his job as well as the respect of the Conners family and Brock in the process. The last moment with Peter considering quitting was awesome.

3. The Uncertainty Principle: The dialouge between Spidey and Tombstone was awesome and the surprise ending of Harry being the GG with the possibility of Norman being an even worse ass hole than in the comics (as Lee originally conceived) or the movies was really interesting. Plus more great supporting cast interaction.

4. Intervention: The retelling of the origin was poignant and memorable as opposed to contrived and boring like in TAS. The mixture of movie and AF#15 worked perfectly and the reuse of the previous episodes to recreate the cover of ASM #100 was appreciated. Uncle Ben rocked in this episode and seeing Dark Peter was nice.

5. Group Therapy: I'm admittedly not a big fan of the Sinister Six concept, but it worked nicely here. Doc Ock was much cooler in this episode andi t had probably the best action of the season. Intense fighting and a nice subplot of Peter not being there for his aunt after she had a heart attack. But it was mostly an action driven episode.

6. Persona: I like BC, what can I say? She was good in this episode all the innuendos and sex jokes were amusing in a kids show, but moreso was their interaction and the ability to see Cap. Stacy as a trusting ally of Spidey. The noddds to the movie with the black suit and upside down kiss were also appreciated.

7. Reaction: Doc Ock becomes a badass. What can I say? I still think TAS's voice for Doc Ock and origin were much better, nor did I like this Doc Ock having a battery life, but the action was amazingly good. And seeing Liz Allen break up with Flash Thompson over Peter Parker was hilariously cool to me as was all the supporting cast interaction.

8. The Invisible Hand: Maybe the most well rounded episode. Spidey fights a b-lister in Rhino. But Rhino tears up the Daily Bugle really badly and Peter has to use his wits to beat him. What is more interesting about this episode is how this is where the show really picks up and all the pieces come together. Notice all but one of the above episodes on my list are after this one. It is in this episode that Spidey meets Tombstone and gets his ass kicked by him. The dynamics of the show change drastically. Also, Aunt May coming to the Bugle and guilt tripping Betty out of going to Peter's prom with him was classic. It made this Aunt May above the cloth of the comics or TAS. Still I prefer Rosemary Harris's portrayal of the character the best. And the ending with MJ. Classic.

Those I felt were the absolute best top notch episodes. The others were good, but these were great.

Mine is Group Therapy, I just loved the Sinister Six and their interactions together. I especially loved Doc Ock. :otto:

But...the season finale with Venom came really close to beating Group Therapy.

I'm regretting my vote for Nature vs. Nurture now (Honestly, it was only for the kiss). I just rewatched Market Forces and realized how badass Shocker is in this show. He's a villain I can respect. It's really between that and Group Therapy for me.

My vote is between Interactions and Group Therapy. I really liked the Electro storyline. It had excellent character development (i.e. Max Dillon) and intense action. Meanwhile, I really enjoyed Spidey's challenge with the Sinister Six, the battles were intense, and the second half of the episode is just amazing!

I'll vote for Interactions, as it came first, and so far it has no votes.

Really hard to choose just one favorite episode but I really enjoyed Catalysts. I loved the way Goblins henchmen wore the Pumpkin Halloween masks (reminded me a lot of Jokers goons in TDK) which is something I think should be incorporated in any future Spidey movies. I also liked the fact that The Uncertainty Principle took place on and around Halloween. Group Therapy had me in AWE especially during the climax. Now THATS the way Symbiote Spidey should act with all the badass ruthless fighting moves and, the twist at the end was a nice touch.

Intervention for me. The stylistic choices, acting, writing all come together perfectly. Hooray for Saturday morning cartoons that can actually move me emotionally without feeling melodramatic or forced.

Natural Selection is a close second, and third place for me is a toss up between The Invisible Hand, and Group Therapy.

Group Therapy had awesome fight scenes and really cool black suit spidey development, but Invisible Hand featured the most badass (and probably painful) pimp slap of all time.
