Sam is exposed to the Allspark fragment from the last movie and, somehow, he starts reading the physics book that his professor (Rainn Wilson) told he to in five seconds and start pointing errors on Albert Einstein's theories and write strange symbols on the blackboard before being expelled from class.

it's being shot at princeton because bay likes how nice the campus is. the university in the movie is not princeton.

Personally I think the idea's stupid as well, however I think I get where it's going too. Sam goes 'crazy', but in reality is just processing more info than his brain can put in proper order or his mouth can spew in a cohesive sentence. So at some point near the end Sam finally puts everything together and somehow says the right thing, or pushes the right button, or pulls some crazy Primus summoning lever he finds deep in Cybertron at the right time and saves the day. This will create some distance and tension inbetween Sam and his gal pal, and provide Bay with plenty of comedy material.

Not saying it's a great idea, but I could see it fitting in somehow.

I would rather have a teaser trailer in which Ratchet is discussing the effects of the Cube's radiation on organic's with Optimus, especialy in the case of long term exposure.
Suddenly, Mikaela comes running n screaming for help. We cut to the outside and see Sam sitting inside Bumblebee murmuring, "help... help" while his eye starts to glow and strange mechanical growths start to appear on his face and body.
He screams, "HEEEELLLLPPPPP!!!"
