Holy ****...$35 + shipping for the TRU exclusive...
Yeah its a little pricey but its Toys R Us and considering i bought both the regular dark knight version and the unmasked for $29.99 each this aint to bad. Plus its the Joker and it may be the last Movie Masters related product we get at a retail price.

Im sure Mattel will just be announcing that they will become mattycollector.com exclusive....they will just go the easy route and slap them on mattycollector for $20.00 bucks a pop plus shipping.
If this is the case, I will be a bit more selective...most likely skipping the battle-damaged Bats and the Suit Scarecrow to start.
I'll wait for an official announcement from Mattel.
I would too like to hear more confirmation or a statement from Mattel.
Holy ****...$35 + shipping for the TRU exclusive...
Yeah, that's too much for me. It's nice, but I may wait and see if they linger on shelves long enough for a sale price.

I hope these are still on I realy want that Harvey Dent movie master so I dont have to spend a tone of cash buying a second body and a anther suit to make a Harvey Dent with my Hottoys stuff... Im happy with just a Hottoys TwoFace for now... Maybe some time down the line I will buy things to compelet Harvey but its going to be later rather then sooner for me...

I can't believe they let this line fail so hard, this had to be the most profitable line they've had in a long time. It's rare that their toys make it into mainstream news, but the Joker figures were for awhile. I spend many sleepless nights wondering how Mattel functions so strangely

You all can thank Warner Bros. marketing department for awarding them the license because they thought Mattel would do such a better job than Kenner/Hasbro did for 10 years. Not sure what it was. Maybe how they let the number 1 girls line, Barbie, fall to number 2 under Bratz, or how they destroyed the He Man line. They did the exact same thing to the Batman license that they did with MOTU. Thanks Mattel!!

it's quite sickening to think about it...#1 movie of 2008,critically acclaimed,Academy Award winner, arguably the #2 box-office movie of all time...
and we got a total of 5 figures from it (7,if you include the chases) ,and 2 of those are from the LAST f**king movie!
there was,and still is,quite a hunger for TDK merchandise in the collector's community (see Hot Toys) ,and Mattel just, just fumbled the ball away...
now, see,i CAN excuse them at the beginning...they truly got caught with their pants down,as MM was meant to be a limited release collector's item, and once it went nuclear, they DID do all they could to get more out to the masses...problem was the way they absolutely DRAGGED ass in getting anything new out there...these should've been out again starting in January (like originally solicited) ,to tie into the DVD release, and the still hotness that was TDK....instead it's going on July, and still nothing, other than cryptic messages of the line's fate being revealed at SDCC,where most likely they will become mattycollector.com exclusives (whatever they DO put out) ,and with shipping you're probably looking at about $20 - $25 a pop......joy...
like it or not the line is dead...we''ll be lucky to get any of the scheduled figures released ,though if i was betting i'd say they might release just Two-Face (they know there's a HUGE demand for him)...i decided not to wait for them, and i'm glad i didn't,and make my own, custom figures of some of the ones suppossedly coming out ( Final Battle Batman,Arkham Asylum Joker,Two-Face,Jail Cell Joker, Bank Robbery Joker( ,and even some i figured we'll never get (Ducard).....i actually just made 2 new customs, and i'll post pics when i get my camera back from my dad (Watabe Ra's and Gordon) ,but it's sad when i look at my TDK collection and actually count what's there:
14 figures - six Mattel, EIGHT customs!
i should not have more custom figures than actual releases, but thanks to Mattel i do...but i guess i can thank them for getting me back into the whole customizing bug...but it shouldn't have had to come to that in the first place...

mikey1974
06-19-2009, 06:58 PM
yeah,Thug bodies are good for an all purpose, basic custom (and since nearly everyone in both BB and TDK wears suits)...my custom Two-Face,Ducard,Bank Robbery Joker,Arkham Asylum Scarecrow, and Gordon all use a Thug base body...planned on at least 1 more (Bruce Wayne) ,but since we don't even know if the Proto-Suit Bats is coming out,i might not have a head for him....
necessity is the mother of all invention,my friend...i just got so sick and tired of waiting for Mattel to fill in my Bats collection,i said F-em and did it myself...

what head did you use for gordon? ducard, and two face?
mikey1974
06-19-2009, 08:03 PM
Two-Face,i used the 5" 'Face head....i just cut the neck part off, hollowed out the head with a drill, and superglued it on and painted it up...
Ducard....used a Batman: Hush series 2 Superman head, just repainted it....
Gordon,i used a Kirk head from the 6" line for the new Trek movie...i cut the neck off of the Thug body, then cut the neck on Kirk to scale it down to look okay, then painted the head a bit (mustache, some grey in the temples),and glued on the glasses that came with the Commissioner Gordon figure from Batman:Hush series 3...

mikey1974
06-20-2009, 01:21 PM
thanks for all the kind words....
yep, made them all myself...for the most part, they started off with me being severely pissed, around the time TDK hit DVD in December...i was sitting there, being mad that there was still no MM Two-Face figure..i had already made a custom in the summer, from a DCSH Clark Kent body and a ML Lomgshot head, but i already knew i wanted to upgrade 'Face,as he stood a good inch taller than the rest of the MM figures,so i found another Thug in the fall, and was going to use that as the in-scale base body...but i was sitting here at my computer, and was looking at the 5" Two-Face i had tacked on the wall, thinking how the likeness was pretty decent on him...then i noticed just how friggin huge his noggin was compared to the rest of the 5" line, thinking if it was a little bigger it would probably be in MM scale...then for *****s & giggles i put him next to one of the MM figures for comparisons sake, and was floored as i discovered the head was almost EXACTLY in scale with the MM figures, and my fertile mind went to work from there...:woot:
my only complaint is,since i am not a professional at this,a lot of joints on them don't move, due to having to repaint most of the figures (mainly the head, elbows, and knees)....
still pissed that they never released that Target-exclusive 2-pack of Two-Face and Harvey Dent,as i had plans to use the Dent head for a custom MM Harvey....

Just a heads up for all of you variation hunters out there. I went to my local toys r us this morning and the put out the 12inch MM joker. Out of 10 of these jokers only 1 had him holding a knife and the other 9 had him holding the joker playing card. The joker i received from ordering it online also had the knife. So this is kind of a strange variation but cool non the less. So collectors start your hunting because they have hit toys r us stores.

I was there about 20 minutes ago picking up "on clearance" a Hulk and Abomination and yes, it's exactly as you saw it in the picture, didn't look too bad though, the ones at my store had the knife
ManInTheNarrows
06-20-2009, 06:43 PM
I really didnt think that it looked bad at all either. That's interesting that your store had the figure with the knife and not the joker playing card. Im assuming this is purposely done for some odd reason.
ManInTheNarrows
06-20-2009, 06:47 PM
I dont think it looks as smeared as in the pictures. Its a very nice looking piece in person and hard to pass up especially considering all the crap going on with the Movie Masters line. After tax it came out to $37.96 which isnt all that bad considering there are probably worse toys out there that are double the price. Obviously it ain't no Hot Toys Joker but its also not $200.00 dollars.

I don't get the thing with these cheap store bought action figures. Now maybe if I was 9 again after seeing the movie I'd be all over these bugging my parents to buy them.
But now that I'm 24, these seem too childish to me. They are too junky and just cheap. I need a more refined and more adult collectible to display my fandom. Which is why Hot Toys and there 1/6 scale is the only way to go. Sure they may cost a bit more than some people are willing to spend on collectibles, when you see the value and how awesome they are...you can't stop.

I can see what your saying here but I do not agree with you because I buy Hottoys and also still have love for smaller store bought toys be it Batman Movie Masters or Transformers to a number of other things... Maybe Im just trying to hold on to something from when I was younger... Yes Hottoys are great for us older collectors but come with a price tag that must of us couldnt have handled as kids... I guess what Im trying to say here is that must toys are = in my book...

not to mention some of us are fans of literally HUNDREDS of different characters in the sci fi world and it's a much affordable hobby to collect the store bought figures first and random statues and higher class figures when neccesary. If I just focused on higher class collectibles like yourself "BatmanForNever" I'd end up going broke fast

But not every character is made in the 1/6th scale only certain licenses and certain scales. I dunno, I just view toys you can find in children aisles, junky and cheap.

we like them primarily,i guess, because they weren't targeted at kids, per se,but MM was suppossed to be for "collector's" ...with improved articulation and sculpts compared to their 5" counterparts, they were definitely better than usual kiddie fare....also,it seemed like the sky was the limit with these, with 2 films to choose from, and at least 10 - 12 characters that fans would buy from them...little did we know that Mattel was going to abandon us...
i myself love them...like i said, they're a step up from usual kiddie toys...i also got all the HT stuff too (minus the Begins Batman)....i guess it seemed possible we might get a comprehensive,6" Batman film line of figures, and that appealed to me...

Sweet customs Mikey! You've definitely got some talent man. I agree with you on the Movie Masters line which were definitely targeted towards us adult collectors. And as you said unfortunately Mattel has decided to abandon us. I think i only bought the purple suited Joker, dark knight batman (with gray accents on the chest),two-face and deathstroke from the kiddie 5inch line. I know there not the best made, most articulated figures around but they are fun to collect and add to your batman collection. Collecting batman figures and the various other items they make is just plain fun. I do agree with BatmanforNever on the fact that a lot of toys especially recently (terminator salvation, star trek) to name a few look like junkie, cheap pieces of crap that are way over priced. However if you look hard enough you will find some action figure lines that look great. For example the Movie Masters line, DCUC, DC direct watchmen figures, Masters of the universe classics. I really wish i had tons of money to just spend on all of the Hot Toys batman products but with bills and all of the other things life throws at you, you just have to be a little picky at times on what you collect.
As long as I can them through marty.......I guess I will be ok. If not..........

Hi - Mattel has just informed us that the remaining new figures in the Dark Knight Movie Masters line are going to be Mattycollector.com exclusives, and that they cannot fill our order. I knew they would be mattycollector exclusives. Its a logical choice for Mattel because they know we will pay the $20.00 plus shipping for these damn figures. I love the fact that i wont have to run around from store to store now looking for the damn things especially the chase figures. I just really hope they drop the price to $14.99 and they make enough of the damn things. It should be easy getting these from mattycollector.com All you need to do is sign up for email alerts and they will let you know when they are available. Its the same deal with the He-man classics and they even let you buy 10 at one time which leads me to believe that they produce plenty its just the Scalpers that buy them all out. Well all in all im happy that they will be available and now that there on matty maybe we'll get our Gordan,Ra's,alfred, bruce wayne, and all of the many other figures we want.

This is the problem I feel most have. The feedback on the MattyCollector Facebook page isn't very heart warming.
Considering that the site sells collectibles rather than "toys", they should have a much lower limit to what an individual could buy at once. Ideally, this would be two. Most of use will buy one for display and one to remain MIB.
I just hope they don't screw the real fans over and have each figure sold out within a matter of minutes because of the scalper problem. Never purchasing anything from the site and knowing Matty's track record makes me really nervous over the availability of this line as well as the Ghostbusters line.

Mattel should definitely lower the amount of figures you can purchase at one time on mattycollector. You would think they produced a good quantity of the He-man figs because you can buy 10 at a time but obviously not because they do sell out within hours now. Its almost as if Mattel wants the scalpers to get them to drive the price up on ebay i just dont understand them.
The He-man figures go for ridiculous prices on ebay. The classic He-man goes anywhere from $75.00 to $100.00 now thats just plain retarded and i hope this does not happen with the movie masters. We have waited so damn long for these and then to finally have them made available. Its almost as if Mattel is saying you can look but dont touch. What i mean by that is when these all sell out within hours we will all just be staring at the website with all of the pics of sold out or currently unavailable movie masters because the scalpers will get them all.

Hopefully it won't be like how it was when the Joker MM came out. That thing was a b*tch to find because of the scalpers. At a time, the only place you could find one easily was on eBay and they were at ridiculous prices. Luckily they released another wave and weren't as hard to find. As a result the pricing dropped on eBay.
But if they are sold out relatively fast, I'm pretty much giving up on the line because I'm not willing to pay $30+ on a $12 figure. I'm just scared to death that I won't get a chance at these and will have to constantly monitor eBay for a half decent price.
I made the mistake of buying the McFarlene Robocop figure on eBay...almost $45...and it kept breaking as soon as I took him out of the packaging. I went though 3 before I learned my lesson.
So, please Mattel. Learn from your mistakes on the He-Man line and let the fans have a fighting chance at the Dark Knight Movie Masters...and Ghostbusters

I strongly agree with you that Mattel needs to basically get there heads out of there asses and start producing a good number of these figures. Not overproducing but just a good enough number and to start limiting the amount at purchase to 2 to 5 figures. That would at least give every collector a fighting chance. Like i said before its almost as if Mattel wants the scalpers to get these. I just dont understand there logic. They just better make enough because i at least want 2 to keep mint on card and 1 to open for my loose figure collection. The one promising thing i do see is that having them on Matty they can expand to the other films. I mean i should say the only other good batman film. Which of course would be Tim Burtons 1989 masterpiece minus the prince music. Mattel could now produce figures for that film and possibly a batmobile. Hopefully they could also release the tumbler with working lights and opening cockpit. That would just be to sweet! I could only imagine the possibilities now that they are online exclusive.

I honestly dont see these going past what they already have produced. Its my feeling that Mattel is going to release whatever quantity they have of this next wave and thats the last we will see of this Movie Master line. After 20 years of collecting, this is my thoughts on this. I believe some of you are still giving blind faith to Mattel.

which basically means they'll be next to impossible to find and expensive as hell over the internet

I could only imagine the possibilities now that they are online exclusive.
if they overproduce they might drop price a bit

I called the mattycollector number this morning in the guy said he's showing nothing on the Movie Masters until 2010. Said something about a Lex Luthor figure. I then said "No, Dark Knight." And he said still nothing until 2010.
Was this correct? Two years after the movie? I don't get it. That can't be right.

Honestly if you think about it $200 is not that bad of a price. You have to think these figures were around $15 (after tax) when they first came out, so 11 figures at $15 a pop you're looking at $165. Plus he has the 2 variants that are extremely rare and he is also offering free shipping. Not to mention the time and gas he spent to probably collect all of those. So why dont you cut the guy some slack instead of belittling him. Thanks

Yeah I mean I busted my @ss getting these figs last summer. I was ALL OVER stores and online looking for deals. Saying that's over-priced is ridiculous. I'm taking a hundred dollar loss on the conservative side for all the time, gas, and price-gouging online buys. not to mention I had crazy personal problems at the time and tracking these down was a nice distraction for me.

Maybe you'd have one if you bought one. They're 15 to 20 bucks including shipping on ebay. Just because no one walked up and handed you one is no reason to wet yourself. I spent a hell of a lot more than that tracking mine down so I don't wanna hear about high prices.
I have 3 Jokers and the one I kept in the box is the only one I didn't find in stores. Hell I'd give you the third one (no knife, part of TRU 2 pack) with a gun if you want him loose. (My other one is custom painted and being displayed w/ knife. I want to keep him.)

He's a scalper because he's selling ONE maskless Batman? That's a joke in itself right there.
Not to mention the line has been discontinued until we received word otherwise, so of course you can't find anything...most stores sold off or returned their stock.

WOW! So anyway back to collecting talk which is the reason for this blog anyway. SDCC is just around the corner and im excited to hear some news on this great line. Hopefully they will give details on the Price point on the figures which i think we all hope will be $14.99 + shipping. And hopefully they will really think about expanding this line beyond begins and dark knight and into 89 bats and Reeves supes. Hey ShadowBat69 i hear ya dude. My local Toys r us stores have tons of Jokers, scarecrows, and begins bats. The hard ones to get around here are dark knight bats and thug. Its sad that these figures were once so coveted pieces and now just sit in a toys r us bin all banged up and damaged. Very sad. On a non movie master note. I ran into the Clay Face and Bats DC universe two pack and Supes and Brainiac two pack at toys r us today. @ $21.99 a piece thats not to bad. But i passed them up to save up money for Ghostbusters movie masters and Dark Knight movie masters.

Yeah i really liked the clayface/batman 2pack and would definitely pass on the brainiac/supes pack. If we dont get any movie masters until 2010 then so be it i suppose. We've waited this damn long whats another 6 months. Also just went to a toys r us down here in phoenix today and all of there Dark Knight products are 25% percent off and when you purchase you take an additional 20% percent off. Not bad almost half off on all dark knight products. The movie masters were once again 2 for $12.99 and once again did not move from the cluttered pegs. I seriously think toys r us needs to drop all Dark knight products to 75% percent off if they want to move this ****.

I hope to god were getting some. I really hope that they treat the MM line just like Masters of the universe line. Yeah it sucks that they sell out quickly but we're just gonna have to be one step ahead of the scalpers and get these suckers for ourselves. I believe that this is definitely the best route for the MM figures to go in order for us collectors to get what we really really want. More characters, more vehicles, more movies. It could work out really well. As you can see this line died at retail and yes it was Mattel's fault but it would have died eventually. I personally think that DCU Classics should be online exclusives as well because i can never find the damn things. Just a bunch o peg warmers at every damn target, walmart and toys r us. Its sad whats happening to retail stores but there idiots and they dont know what collectors want. Let them stick to kid stuff and we Adult collectors can get our figures another way. This is why i agree with what Mattel is doing and i hope they keep this up. Personally im tired of driving all over town, wasting gas when i could just click a button and its on its way.

I agree with you mostly. It SUCKED last year driving ALL OVER looking for MMs. (They're the only line I've ever pursued.) I was obsessed. It was so frustrating. First trying to look for a Joker. Then trying to look for the thugs. Then the chases (extras for me to display...never happened though very early on I recall seeing an unmasked chase out of his packaging and laying on the shelf at like 8 in the morning at Wally World) I think people just have to be on the ball. That's why I called the Mattel guy after joining this forum. I want to know when they will be released...exactly when. Hopefully I can get my order in before they're gone. But it's better than going out of town and coming up empty-handed either way.

Heck of a job on painting the face by the way on the head from the 5 inch line. Is that the Coin Blast Two Face? He looked smaller than 5 inches. I saw he's 3 bucks at Big Lots but the face was so terribly cheap-looking that I didn't buy it. It was all maroon, no detail, no grotesque-ness.

The Two-Face actually isn't that bad. Sure the detail is lacking somewhat, but considering it's the only Two-Face out there it's surely worth $3. They overdid the scarring covering the whole side of him, suit & hand included, but really, it's pretty decent. I'm still hoping to find a silver handgun for him.
Anyway, I picked it up figuring it would tide me over till the MM version came out...I didn't figure I'd still be waiting.

this....
the head is,for whatever reason, near perfect for the MM line...don't know why,but they gave him the biggest head out of the whole 5" line...there is a lot of sculpting detail under there, with tendons and muscle, and flesh, and even that tendon stretching across his teeth where the cheek is open...but they killed it with a flat purple paint job....my recipe, for anyone interested in making a custom 'Face..
5" line Two-Face figure
MM Gotham City Thug
MM Scarecrow
paint
paint brushes
toothpicks
cardboard
...take the Thug, and remove the head and hands...remove the jacket part, and paint the shirt area white (you don't have to paint the whole underneath, just the front, where it'll show)...pich the color grey you want, then paint the edges of the coat with it,as well as the top of the pants and the shoulder areas, usually about 2 coats, then spray 3 coats of clear acryllic sealer on it....then put the coat back on,and paint the rest of the coat, arms, and legs with the grey til you're happy with it..after every second coat, spray a light coat of the sealer...also use glossy black paint and repaint the shoes...
boil and pop the hands off the Scarecrow, and pop them on 'Face...the head- there's 2 ways of doing this: you can either just remove the Thug head, the cut off the 5" 'Face head below the chin, and hollow it out til it fits on the neck base,or you can cut the neck part off of the Thug, cut the whole neck and head off of 'Face, and just glue it on the Thug body - however, obviously, the head won't move at all...
take the cardboard and cut out the shape of a tie, paint it,then glue it on him..take the toothpicks, and customize that purple 'Face head and neck...finally,take some black and darker grey paints and just kinda "dab" them on the burnt side of his jacket,a little at a time,to build up the texture of the burnt parts...then take some red paint, and put some spots on his coat with a toothpick....
and,voila! MM-style Two-Face,using all official Mattel parts!

I'm not sure how many of you are still interested in the current MM figures, but I just noticed that Toys R' Us has a promotion running this week on Movie Master figures. Buy 1 get 2 free.
This is good for both online and in-store stock. Unfortunately online stock doesn't show ever figure available.
Not sure how many of your local stores still carry stock, but if you want to sweeten the deal even more, there is a 20% off coupon valid Friday through Sunday. So in theory, you could get 3 figures for $10.
Coupon here: http://a2.slickdeals.net/attachment.php?attachmentid=233531&d=1247682200
Links to figures online:

Note: If you plan on getting the 2-pack, make sure to add it as one of the "free" figures, as there seems to be a glitch in TRU's system that allows you to have the higher priced item for free.
The kiddie version of the figures are also given this deal.

You and me both man. Hopefully now that Mattel will be making the MM line Mattycollector.com exclusives they can afford to make an MM tumbler and make it available online say for $39.99. With working lights and engine sounds it would be sweet. This is the one positive that i see with this line being online exclusive the fact that mattel can now make the more collector based figures and vehicles such us the tumbler, luscious fox, alfred, and so on. Before mattel would have to either make the tumbler a vendor exclusive like the batpod was to target. Seeing as how they killed the line anyway im glad that they are going collector online exclusive. Now we just have to wait and see if Mattel will actually use there brains this time and continue this great line and all of the potential it has.

Yeah, I can't find the Fear Toxin bats. He's the last one I need to have them all on display. I went to another TRU farther away Monday, and outside of a couple thugs, it was flashback to July 2008. They had 6-8 scarecrows and about that many Begins bats and that was it.
At the closets one (where I found the Unmasks) you could tell no one had looked at them in a long time. I considered the Stealth Launch Batmobile but I'm not going to pay 25 bucks for it.

Its been seen on one of the display cards that these will be available at Mattycollector., which was already speculated.
They are Matty Exclusives, like the DCUC two packs and the MOTUC line.

Considering that these are now Matty exclusives, they are more than likely going to be $20 a figure. I'm really only interested in the Jail Cell Joker and Two-Face figures...and possibly the Arkham Asylum Scarecrow, but that can be made using existing figures.
I just really want an extra JCJ so I can take the crappy head of the Joker I already have.

This is why my wallet is cringing over the Ghostbusters line. I'm a HUGE GB fan and I want to do the same as I did for the MM line...two of each figure: one for display and one for MIB. Just thinking about paying $40 for two figures almost makes me want to throw up for being so stupid.

I agree, the chase was fun, but it did get pretty time consuming and I often ended up spending a ton on gas driving all over PA looking for random Wal-Marts and TRU's.
I'm psyched they are continuing to produce the line, however, if they do go for $20 a pop I'll be hardpressed to pick up all of them. Definitely going for the 2 Jokers and the Two-Face though....

Nope. I had Two-Face and Joker pre-ordered from BigBadToyStore.com and then got an email about a month ago saying they received word from Mattel that the Movie Masters line would become MattyCollector Exclusives and they were no longer going to be available through the site.
So you're only chance at getting these now are when they are available for purchase on Matty.com.

I saw pics from the Mattel Panel and it looks as if the MM are supposed to start being released in September?
They didn't have pics of all figures, but they had power point slides for a few with release dates. Take these with a grain of salt considering the history of the line being released:
Proto-suit Bruce: October 15th
Jail Cell Joker: December 15th
Arkham Asylum Scarecrow: January 15th
Final Battle Batman: February 15th
Two Face: March 15th.
Sucks for me because these fall within the same months as some of the Ghostbusters figures :cmad:

Personally I think the price will be more around 15 dollars, say 14.99 or something. then add in shipping or whatever.
I dont know how much the MOTU figures are, that would probably give ya the best idea.
EITHER way.. they shouldn't cost 1 dollar to begin with because these figures are such pieces of crap. If someone seriously thinks these figures are worth any money, then you must have missed out on the prime 6 inch, and or your standards are extremely low. I personally collect only 6 inch figures, I don't want the 3.74342 inch undetailed 10 dollar bullcrap they are feeding us now a days. or the 7 inch, just oversized, under detailed stuff...
The ghostbusters seem to be getting semi okay treatment.. but why not Batman.. The Dark Friggin Knight?
I wont be buying. I had extremely high hopes for this line when the prototype pictures popped up from the horseman, man they were AMAZING.... and Mattel Effed them up the butts and it just kept getting worse with every figure. Just sticking with my customs.

Wow I'm glad I've moved on to Hot Toys for my collecting of comic based films. While I can't get every figure I want, the ones I'm able to afford are worth it. I'm rather nitpicky about detail and with Hot Toys you get the best (besides a few customs out there). After seeing what Hasbro has done to the ML line, the only 6-7 inch figs I buy anymore are DCUC. Yet the paint jobs can be a pain at times. These movie masters were at first a dream for me, but the figs themselves have gotten worse after starting pretty good.

I used to like the Dark Knight movie masters line... Thank goodness for Hottoys though with them I have just about all the Dark Knight toys I want... Bank Robber Joker, TwoFace, MMS DX Joker, MMS DX Batman and maybe a V1 Joker as well If I still decide to buy one after I get my hands on the Dx Joker... I want a Joker to hold a knife, one to hold the Machine gun, and of course the Dx to do the grenade jacket mob meeting... Then the cop Joker... That makes 5 Jokers in my collection total... Plus Bank Robber... Damn Hottoys really stuck it to me on there Joker's...

I think several of us have moved on to hot toys for our DK merch fix. It's more money for a far superior product--and guess what????
you pay the money---and you get the product you want!
:wow:
No driving around like a jackass, or waiting in front of the Matty red screen of death.
I'm betting 20 bucks plus 8-9 shipping. MOTUC is at least that, Ghostbusters is the same. MM will be no different.
The question is: do you want to pay 30 bucks for a ****** Mattel TDK figure?

Haha. I said the same thing. They didn't even come up with an original figure. Just made a Peck sculpt (crappy one at that) and reused the MM's stuff. Just look at the hands. They are the same on the Scarecrow figure now.

Out of curiosity, did anyone here actually attend the Matty event!? Any confirmation on actual release dates and pricing?
Edit: So I came across a slew of photos from the Mattel panel at this year's Comic-Con and based on what I've seen and read, there was no mentioning of Bank Robber Joker and Harvey Dent...thought that was strange.
There is also no information on pricing, but as someone else suggested, expect to pay the same for this and Ghostbusters' lines.

I'm going to guess that either Harvey Dent or Bank Robber Joker are going to be released in Sept and Nov, since those are the only 2 figures missing, as well as the only 2 months missing. Also, it says that the figures start selling on Sept 15th.
