and to mee it sitll sounds a little fishy. I got my TDK suit Batman about 2 or three weeks ago and it had one hole punched into the back ofthe card. and if they NEED the holes Mattel should have done that months ago. even the basic figures already had holes in the boxes.


i'm under the impression they didn't think it would be a problem...at all...but then TRU complained and pulled them,then everyone else started,then...well,there you go...yeah,my MM series 1 figures only had that liitle hole in the back of the card,toward the bottom...i would assume some are still out there...like any change made to a product,no matter how closely the situation is monitored,some of the "defective" product will make it out there....hey,you got a hell of a find! you can put it on ebay as a true Wave 1 figure! :woot:

- Two-Face
- Ninja Bruce or Bruce when he first confronts Gordon in Batman Begins
- Begins Ninja
- Different Joker Goon
- Harvey Dent
- Bank Robbery Joker
- Joker with runny makeup, no jacket, and laughing

Hell, maybe even a Lucius, Alfred, and Rachel figures, too.

I still need to look in LA, anyone found anything. As for working in TRU, there are two things they work you like a dog and give you 10% and most likely you won't be able to get the figures unless you work stocking them or are opening; and/ or closing. Take it from me I worked at TRU for the holiday season.

So I made a MM run today...didn't really find much except for 2 Scarecrows. Looking to sell them for the price I paid plus shipping if anyone is interested. I also picked up a Deluxe Figure Chase Batman at ToysRus..they must have had like 10.

It's funny that only the Targets and Walmarts I stopped by carried MM figures, ToysRUs did not...

I remember finding 2 Joker figures about a month ago at Wal-Mart and decided to pass on them because I figured I'd find them again (plus I didn't realize at the time how in demand these were. I usually only collect Star Wars and horror movie related figures). Boy was that the dumbest descsion I ever made. Why they don't produce more villains and less mega-Batmen is beyond me. All they ever do is clog the pegs. They need to start doing some market research.

Oh, and that really sucks that you put them down. Sorry dude. :csad: I was lucky (or...obsessive, heh) enough to have been on these boards every day, hearing all the buzz on the MMs. I just had a feeling the whole thing was going to be a cluster*@#!, so I snatched them all on the first morning and never looked back. I wasn't as lucky at first with Wave 2; I got beaten to the punch all over town. Thankfully, I happened to be out of town later that week on a camping trip, and found them in that town's local Wal-Mart.

But I'm actually sort of...dreading a third wave. It's way too stressful. :o

it's funny how the eBay auctions refer to these things (MM Jokers) as "rare" yet an auction for one is ending and beginning every 5 minutes...I mean that really is all the proof you need to know that people are grabbing every single one they can before anyone else (friends at the retailers?) then just selling them off one by one. I guess this is all pretty well known but still it's truly sickening! All I have to do is look at the eBay sellers feedback to see they have auction after auction after auction of Movie Master figures, how is this even legal? ok ok rant over!

YES! that is exactly how I alwasy felt abotu BatMan toys. I don't want all these multi-colered Batman figures. I want him in his normal suit. that's it. I had so many mutli colerd batman toys that i had to use some of them as the bad guys when i played with my toys.

I also stopped by another WalMart this morning and to my surprise they had no MM figures. TO be frank they didn't even have pegs for the figures. There was a Toys R' Us next door that I decided to pay a visit to. I couldn't believe there was not one MM figure...they too didn't even have any pegs. It's a step-above that one with the trap-loaded suitcase, as he seems to have the right color scheme. It may not be the one everyone's after, but it's a nice memento for me until the day I can afford one of the 12".

been to a couple Walmarts recently, last MMs i saw were a couple of Goons, one of whom had the Joker heist mask (which i should have bought but didn't). i went back a week or so later and they were both gone. none of my local Walmarts have had them since, but the pegs are still there. but after a few reports on here that said that Target FINALLY had them, i went to Target today and surprisingly found the Batman Begins and Scarecrow, but not surprisingly no Fear Toxin Batman case figs. Target is likely your best bet to find them these days, especially since TRU seems to not be getting them anytime soon. and if they do make Superman MMs, i'm absolutely getting them.

There is no way that the TDK MM Batman is going to fit on that Batpod. The TDK Batman has the worst articulation out of any of the MM's. It is the only figure out of the bunch that doesn't have the (for lack of a better description) crotch articulation.

There is no way that the TDK MM Batman is going to fit on that Batpod. The TDK Batman has the worst articulation out of any of the MM's. It is the only figure out of the bunch that doesn't have the (for lack of a better description) crotch articulation.

i'm under the impression no NEW figures will ship this year...they're just going to concentrate on getting the 5 existing figures (and variants) out as much as possible....this was meant to be a somewhat limited release to begin with,in the respect less produced and ordered as compared to the 5" line...but between the recall and the sell-out's,Mattel got caught with their pants down...they're now rushing all the figures into new production runs to get them out there....what i've heard is coming ( all but wave 3 and the 2-packs are rumors...i repeat,RUMORS)

these things ARE out there...the situation is this:

A) stores are getting their original orders in....those that did send back cases of Wave 1 have been receiving them back again,now with air holes,this past month....their original orders of Wave 2 are also arriving as well.....problem is you still have scalpers out there and employess grabbing these for themselves...and some stores aren't even putting them out at all,since they have no room...a lot of WM's filled up the MM pegs with the 5" line....

B) Mattel is really not to blame,other than underestimating the demand...they shipped them out in May,then got subjected to a recall...it's up to the stores to get them out there now...

C) Mattel is aware of the problem,and are making more...lots more....unfortunately this will take time...it also won't stop the scalpers from grabbing all of these AGAIN when the new cases start to hit...it might take until October until they hang on the pegs full-time,til everything dies down.

D) i know people don't want to hear it,but don't give into the scalpers on Ebay...there WILL be lots of these,between the upcoming cases and the 2-packs...it's just going to take time....i can remember almost 10 years ago when Darth Maul figures were so hot no one had them for nearly 2 or 3 months...then Hasbro produced full cases just of him...suddenly,he was clogging pegs....don't think if the demand for the Joker is still there that Mattel won't ship full cases just of him....

E) get on your store managers,and if no satisfaction there,call up district managers...let them unequivocably know that you would like to purchase these things in their stores,if only they had them...make it known there is a demand for these....Mattel can make 7 million Joker figures alone,but if only 2 million are ordered by the stores,the rest will just sit there...call everyday if necessary...be a pain in the ass...let them know you'll stop bothering them when you actually find the damned things!

i guess what i'm saying is these will be out there en masse....it'll just take time for the whole hysteria to wind down....

depends...some stores haven't put them out yet,due to peg-space limitations...some stores DID put them out,but are already sold out,and awaiting new shipments to arrive...calling certainly won't hurt,but if they say they're sold out,they might be...

Movie Masters are now at Target ! This is awesome because now I won't need to travel all the way to Wal Mart. I gave up hope of Target carrying these way back in June, so I was very surprised to see 2 BB Batman, 1 Scarecrow & 1 Joker on the shelf. They also had all of the basic figures and 2 packs, 4" figures and batmobile (except the thug), and the 5" Batmobile with the batpod coming out.

they're full of crap....it wasn't a recall by Mattel,but a "voluntary recall" by TRU...and then it went from there....i'd love to ask one of them,if there was "NO RECALL" ,then why :

A) did EVERY MM figure disappear from pegs...even the pegwarmers...

B) in,like,95% of the cases where some stragglers were found here or there,did they come up as either "Recalled Item" , or "Not For Sale" when scanned at the register...

...seriously,i'd love to ask them...i would,just to see what answer i get...and,not that anyone needs to,or should be expected to, take my word for it,but i did see the recall fax personally...

Good and bad news,
I was at Comic Con and I talked to the head marketing director for Mattel. I asked him when we could expect a two-face movie masters toy, and he said we can expect it in early 09'. He then asked me a few other questions like if more Movie Masters toys came out in early 09' would I buy them, to which I replied yes, he also asked what others toys/characters I would like to see. I told him Gordon, Lucius, Interrogation Joker, and a few others. He thin nodded and it came off to me like they already had at least some of the ones I mentioned in progress. I ofunf it funny also that he said he was furious that the MM Joker's were being sold on Ebay for insane prices. He said there is definately a Two-Face MM on the way for early 09', so I am extremely happy.

You know what I've noticed that's funny?

The MM TDK Batman seems much bulkier than the Begins one, which is considerably slimmer and more streamlined - the exact opposite of their real-life counterparts.

I actually prefer the Begins figure, even though I like the real TDK costume so much better.

I would love to take a picture of the local toy aisles and send them to Mattel. Just to reinforce the point and see if they take the hint. My local Walmart is literally overflowing with the crappy 5" line, neon Jokers and multi colored Batmen abound. The 3 pegs for Movie Masters have been consistently empty for almost 2 weeks now. OK, I take that back, we've had ONE Begins Batman there for 2 weeks!!

finally yess lol just got my movie masters scarecrow and joker from a fellow hyper i also just found a begins batman in my local variety store appearantly they got a box of only batmans weird right? anyway i love the joker and scarecrow and bats but i still like the dark knight suit better wish that one was as mobile as the begins one though

I never really had an interest in picking up a second MM Batman figure but after actually seeing BB Batman hangin' around on pegs I kinda want one! They shoulda made his package (and maybe Scarecrow) more "Batman Begins inspired" , you know all orangish/brown and stuff. nitpicking...

I love this line and everything done with ... EXCEPT ... the Batman Begins Batman. Doesn't it bother everyone how small Mattel made it? Not only is he not as imposing and as big as TDK Batman. He's smaller than virtually every figure in this line. He's almost a seperate scale to himself. They need to fix his scale in future releases.

and as for BB Batman, yea he's short as hell and his gauntlets are ****ing backwards but he's still an awesome figure! That glossy finish they gave parts of him are sure to attract the ladies...

And speaking of ebay scalpers, the most they should be selling these figures for should be no more than $30 bucks. I checked out a Toyfare mag today and Joker, Bruce Wayne Chase figures MOC are only worth...you guessed it $30. Not sure about wave 2 figures yet but TDK bats and the goon aren't worth as much so don't let these ebay f*)kers take your hard earned cash.

Hi new here, I picked up 1 MM BB 1 Joker and 1 scarecrow at a Target in Mt holly NJ. I checked another Target in Manahawkin and there were none, not even pegs for them. BTW I noticed the 2 pack TRU Batman and Joker are starting to show up on E-bay has anyone seen them at TRU.

They aren't really unpopular you have to take into account that there are 2 batman for every one joker and one scarecrow. So there will be 2 times more so if there are several batman hanging that doesn't mean its not popular just that everyone that wanted one was able to get one since there are more than the others

I don't think you can add image based signatures, only text and links.
