So I made a run to my nearby Wal-Mart this morning, expecting to find nothing as usual (it's been that way for the last week or so). Not only did I pick up 2 Jokers (which I'm selling for cost plus shipping if anyone is interested - PM me), but 2 of the following...

I hear ya, I really should have picked up more than 1 cause like Zodiac said, luck is not on my side. I actually used a WWE Steven Richards figure, it had a tie on it so I cut it off and used it for SC

Personally I believe so. But that is obviously YMMV, depending on stores in your area and their shipments, but remember, Joker has been released in both Wave 1 and Wave 2, where as Thug only in Wave 1 so...

Hey everyone. Been watching the boards for a while now, but first time actually posting. I'm glad to see some people having luck finding the MMs. In the stores around my area, all I've seen are the 2 Batman MMs, but no Joker, Thug, etc. It's harder for me too because I work Mon-Fri 7am to 3pm, so by the time I get out of work...all the scalpers have hit the stores. I almost got lucky thanks to one of the members on here about the Woodridge Wal-Mart having Jokers. By time I got out of work and made it there, I missed them by about 20 mins from what one of the employees said. Anyways though I'm looking forward to posting some more now on the boards and also nice to see how fellow members help each other out finding these MMs.

A Davenport, Iowa Toys R Us got a pretty big shipment of these crazy Movie Masters that everyone is tryin' to snag. Didn't see any wave 1 figs (Goon or TDK Batman) but they had plenty of Joker, Scarecrow, and Begins Batman....as well as one or two Fear Shot Batmans.

Well update from Tampa, FL here.....First post by the way been reading for a long time though and decided to finally register....well heres what i have found in the last 3 days here in tampa ive only purchased one joker (looks like the wave 1 packaging (no air holes) but it has the wave 2 stickers but im is M5070) maybe somebody can shed some light on that...i picked up a Batman Begins and TDK Batman but overall heres what i have found

about 25-30 Batman Begins
7 Jokers
9 Scarecrows
15 TDK Batmans
NO THUGS
NO CHASES

Nysom - I think this is either wave 3 starting or a revision of figures maybe left over from when they halted Wave 1. I just got home with 2 Dark Knight Batman figures that have no air holes in the bubble, but rather the wave 1 hole in the back of the card, but stickers over the UPC and the asst. #'s as well. No jokers, no chases! :(

It's basically just thin cardboard. I'm sure you could laminate it or something like that if you were wanting it to stand up to pressure.

Wal Mart in my area had about 5 TDK batmans, 3 BB batmans and 1 joker. i also noticed on the packaging for the joker and TDK batmans, that blacking out the product number with a marker now instead of tape. and TDK batman has a hole punched in the back bottom right of the box. i'm not sure what thats for...
anyway, i picked up 2 TDK batmans and the joker. now i have one each to open and to leave in the box :)

I got it at a crafts store yeah. It was around $2 for a peice around 1ftx6ft in size. I think it was under the swimwear material area. It's really thin and kind of spandexy. It's not fully opaque and actually a little transparent when you hold it up to the light, but that's the trade off for it being thin enough to flow really well and look more proportionate to the figure. You can't really tell from the photos but the thing that really grabbed my eye about it is that it's kind of matte on the outside and a tad shinny on the inside, emulating the flocked parachute material that the actual cape is made of really well.

Wow the gods have smiled on me today. If you recall i had been to like 9 different wal-marts searching for chase figures and today in my local wal-mart what do I see on the rack? Not one but two ghoul figures! The thing is they were the only two figures on the pegs which tells me that somebody tried to hide them when the original shipment arrived and a worker found them and put em back on the rack. I had been to this wal-mart 4 times in 2 weeks scouting for figures and they only had two batman begins figures and now in theyre place were 2 ghouls as if they magically transformed. I must say I thought I was dreaming as I have put so much energy into this search. I guess I'll put one on Ebay to try and recoup the gas.

Hey Tanman thanks for the reply! Yeah...:( kinda sucks that whoever is in charge of Mattel over there really unbelievably ****ED over everyone who wanted some of these 6-inch awesome Movie Master Dark Knight figures (especially my Canadian Brothers and Sisters...we didn't even GET them here!)

Either way I guess I can double some of my other figures as Jokers henchmen but I kinda wanted the real deal and didn't want to have to wait even until X-Mas..booo!

Yeah, waiting for these kinds of things tends to suck. One major reason is no release dates are usually exact or available, and you have to rely on word of mouth.

yeah, prices are dropping. I've been watching auctions for Fear Toxin Batman and they've been going down as well. I won one this weekend for $43 shipped. Just a few weeks ago they were $60+, some even going near $100! :wow: I've tried for weeks, stopping in at Wal-Marts and Targets, hoping to land one, but I just couldn't spend the time & money any more.

My collection is now complete, although I've kept my wave 1 chase and wave 1 Joker MOC (same goes for the soon to arrive Fear Tox Bats).
The others are opened and displayed on the desk at work. :woot:

Yeah, the only figure I'm missing is the Toxic Batman and I could have already had that except my wife was looking for the Joker when she came across that one and since it wasn't the Joker, she didn't think anything about it. So I had to revise my description and and tell her "anything that says Movie masters that I don't have". :grin:

well i just got home from work to find the Wave 2 Joker that Z(+)DIAC sent me. thanks man!

also, i stopped by my local TRU on the way home from work to find that they FINALLY got MMs again after 3 and a half months of nothing but empty pegs, but only BB Batman and Scarecrow from the looks of it. there was some space on the pegs, meaning that there could have been a Joker or Fear Toxin in the shipment that had already been snapped up. the Fear Toxin fig is the only one i'm missing to complete my collection.

The next wave is just a re-release of the figures we already have. No new figures until early '09, and no exact release date on the Bat-pod, Mattel is telling us sometime in fall '08. The Two-Face you saw was a basic figure and I haven't been keeping up with those.

So what would the price be all together for both figures Z(+)DIAC? I'll be getting a bank account on the 3rd, so if you have a way I can pay by paypal, that would work. Yes. It's true. Most Targets are getting them in finally....late as always.
I told myself "Just be patient. Target will have Movie Masters, eventually." And I was right. It's so awesome that I work @ Target.

And on a side note, there was no way that I was gonna pay scalpers prices on ebay for the "recalled" MM Joker.

Which is a complete lie. They were never recalled. If they were, there would be NONE on ebay. Or anywhere for that fact. Someone when they first came out, lied on ebay and said that ALL the MM Joker were "recalled" and "pulled from shelves", b/c they were "too scary for children" LIAR LIAR pants on FIRE! man i found a joker at a wal-mart last week and was excited at first but then I actually looked at it and realized it's really a dissapointing figure. Not a great scuplt and the paint was quite underwhelming. I ended up leaving it for somebody to get. I'm gonna hold out for something better that will hopefully come later.

They had about 5 Jokers (the most I've seen on pegs to date), a handful of BB and TDK Batmans, a couple of Scarecrows, but of course, not one single Thug (the one figure I need to complete my collection).

I picked up the TDK Batman MM figure at K mart for 10.99. i have to say after messing with the different poses this guy can do i have to say dollar for dollar this is the BEST BATMAN FIGURE EVER..................for now ;).

That really isn't a "dick move" as you put it. Zodiac has been nothing but honest with everyone on these boards. Fear Toxins are incredibly rare, and are only going to go up in value. I think $45 is quite reasonable considering they're MOC, and I've seen prices as high as $100 on Ebay. Calm down.

You do know I don't have to do this, nor do I have to charge people retail price. I'm doing fellow SHH'rs a favor and if you do not like the prices I set, than you obviously don't pay.

Besides, $45 shipped is practically a steal compared to how much they've been going for on eBay. Not to mention I'm verified both by Paypal and by a good sized portion of the SHH community (always a risk you take when placing a bid on eBay).

The extra one I had, I sold to my roommate for $12.
I just wantedto make her happy. I'm not out to make a "killing" b/c it's a rare (well, not so rare now) figure.

A Wal-Mart in Davenport, Iowa got in a rather large shipment of Movie Masters. The racks were full of Jokers and TDK Batman...my guess is those were the only ones in the shipment.

And it does look better in person, except it has the same grin as the first release, but the eyes don't look as dark...

beginning to believe newer cases will now have the figures posed differently,as a picture has surfaced of a TDK Batman,still in package,with his head down and to the right,his left arm across his stomach,and his right leg out in a kicking pose...i figured factory mistake,but as i looked closer it appears that the clear plastic tray he sits in has been remolded so he can fit this way.....

so,for the true ultimate completionoists among us...expect new poses on the figures to look for...
