Attention is something we probably don't want to draw. Not until right before the event anyway. The Chicago PD doesn't take kindly to unexpected crowds and 42 doesn't have a history of calling ahead.

were parking at the metra station on western n chicago and taking the train in. its close enough for a quick cab back, and dont have to hassle with downtown traffic.

There is an open area on the west side of wacker drive where the location is. It is between two buildings (I don't have their addresses) but you can't miss it. It's between Adams and Monroe. There is bench seating and bushes. It is across the street from the Sears Tower about a 1/2 block north. Not on top of a parking garage, however, there are a few around there but they are on the East side of the Sears Tower...we will be on the west.

It's gonna be very interesting to see what happens tomorrow...and how many people show up!

Here is the link again for anyone confused. If you go to street view, you can see what it looks like. I work in the Sears Tower so I will go take a look tomorrow to see if anything is being set up during lunch or any "suspicious" people there scouting the place. I highly doubt anyone will be there from CFB/42e/WB that early, but who knows.

If anything is there I will post it on here tomorrow. I'm bringing my camera tomorrow.

UPDATE: Just in case people are confused on where to park if you're driving, there are 2 parking garages on Franklin Ave which is on the East side of the Sears Tower. Franklin is a 1-way street going North so you will need to come from any street south of Jackson to get there (hope I didn't just confuse things). Parking is expensive and depending on how long this goes, you could end up paying 20+ dollars...but this is true for anywhere in the city. Hope that helps.

DON'T LINGER TOO EARLY! We got in trouble by the cops for the Dent campaign and the last Joker president gallery game by Navy Pier for lingering. Chicago PD do not eff around and they will kick us out if they see us gathering. I know a lot of you want to get there at 6pm, 7pm, etc., but I truly highly recommend you do not gather until 8:45ish so that we don't get screwed. As someone stated before 42 Entertainment has been known for not letting the cops know what they are doing. Now, if rumors are true of what's happening, they probably would need some kind of city permits to do what they are doing so maybe we won't have any problems.

Just be smart. Stay down the block until 8:30 or so and stay in small groups. If we are one big massive group (50 - 100+) the cops will no doubt shut it down and we won't be allowed on site. Once 8:45ish hits, we form one big massive gathering and by that time, the game will begin in a matter of minutes and we will be good to go.

Not trying to play dad here, just trying to make sure we have fun tomorrow with no problems. This is only happening in Chicago and NY...we should be damn excited for what's gonna go down!

ok so citizens for batman are going to do something big today (Tuesday) at 9 we are meeting at 150 s. Wacker Drive (across from the sears tower) now rumor is they are going to put the batsignal on and even possibly give out free stuff... Get off at Jackson and walk down Jackson is the best best. That is what i do when i go to work downtown, and i work right where this is at. There is a park across the street from Sears that you probally could chill at till it starts and you walk over to the location.

PS: To those of you worred about paying for parking... Lots of street parking is Avb in the area. They don't check meters after 5pm so you can park for free. Just make sure you read signs. Some might say no parking after certain hours. You might not find any right in the loop...but if you don't mind walking a few blocks...drive across the river to Canel street area and look around.

FYI, a lot of stuff closes around 6 or 7 because everyone is mostly home from work. McDonalds on the corner of Jackson/Franklin is open late, though.

Have no idea. We have our theories... but we have no idea. Usually whenever there is a countdown for something. That usually means that something HUGE is going to happen.

Just to re-iterate, I'm going to try and make it. However, can someone who is going to be there earlier send me a PM with their cell phone number, so I have someone to call in case I can't find you?

I'm at work right now, and may be here until 7 PM. My limo will take at least an hour to get home, which is on the south side, so I'll have less than an hour (between 8 and 9) to get from the South Side to the Sears Tower. So I don't really have much time to run around looking for where you're all going to be - I want to head there directly!

Also, if anyone's interested in grabbing pizza or dinner or something, I'm down.

Basically we got tshirts, pins, and Gotham Times. It was fun but...eh. Chicago's bat signal got messed up somehow. The projector was not strong enough at all...nothing like New Yorks.

They handed out tshirts, buttons, etc. then Gotham Pizzas came out and they had directions to follow. We traveled south of Wacker Drive, found a lock box, used a code found on the pizza box note to open it, new clue inside, directed us further south to a plaza on Van Buren, found another clue to search for a "radio transmitter", found it in a bush, radioed in a keyword, bat signal shined onto the sears tower...which sucked because you could barely see it. something was messed up. the projector was not strong enough. NY looks way better.

all in all, I got an awesome CFB tshirt! Well worth the trip. Easily 500+ people there.

A whole lot of 'eh' tonight IMO. Thanks to United & CTA (long story), I could only get there at 5 min. to 9. All the shirts & pins were gone. Then we ran all over a 3 block radius. I was not close enough to see/hear the clues and was basically following the crowd. Think I sweated 5 lbs. off too. Then we get to the last spot and could barely make out the bat signal. Had to leave early to catch a train and am glad I didn't miss anything.

Made it, just in time (thanks to those who sent me their phone numbers, having backup made me feel better) for the hunt. We ran around a LOT, and then saw the signal.

I didn't get a T-shirt, which was what I really really wanted. Some people grabbed two or three, which was very frustrating. I asked if they would be willing to spare an extra, they said no.

The payoff was definitely meh. They positioned the projector wrong. If you look right above where the logo was, there was a whole grid of blacked out windows in the general shape needed. I think it was just them dropping the ball. Oh well, I still had a good time. Got a CFB shirt, pin, keychain and 10 copies of the Gotham Times. I also got two delicious slices of pizza. So all in all, I still had a good time.

Well I wasn't complaining about getting free stuff, I was just kinda bummed cause they messed up the bat signal. They accidentally projected it on a cluster of windows that were still lit up so it was really hard to see. The free stuff definitely made up for it though. :woot:

My friend had gotten down there a little earlier than me and was showing off his shirt and I was like "aw man". But then we were walking towards the spot where we had to bring the pizzas and my friend goes "Hey man" and I look over and he pulls out another shirt from under his hoodie and gives it to me. He totally fought to get me one and then hid it so no one gave him ****. Needless to say, I was very excited. :yay:

A lot more people showed up than I would have ever imagined! At least 400 people at 9pm looking to grab shirts and join in on the fun. I fortunately grabbed one for me and my fiance before the throng came from nowhere. Other than free shirts it was a bit of a let down. The running was fun. Seeing people's faces was fun as we ran down Wacker. I met some hypers which was cool too.

It turned off for an hour or so but came back up. I left at 12:30 after finally finding my car and it was still on.
