IMAX release?

Everyone on here probably knows as much as I do but is this Transformers movie getting an IMAX release like the first one? I hope so. Share if you have any true info.

It was great seeing Transformers on the imax screen, but it really had no added bonuses... so it was really pretty pointless.

IMAX hasn't been confirmed yet, however Bay has made very clear that he want's it done in 3D so there is a very good chance that IMAX will come back.

It says that this is a 3D film. I know that youtube can sometimes be misleading but this is proof that the idea of a 3-D IMAX film is floating around.

IMAX just announce that Transformers 2 will be released in IMAX theatres! There is a press release availible on the IMAX corporate web site. They also anounced Eagle Eye for Sept 2007 and Night at the Museum 2 for March 2009

The chance of employing an IMAX camera for Transformers 2 footage would be quite a small chance.

I'm DEFINITELY checking this out. I hope to GOD that there are scenes being filmed in IMAX like TDK. TDK was awesome but I hope this transformers sequel tops that 10 times.
