From what i read Shia and a friend were involved in a car accident, the car rolled over and they were injured Shia was DUI.

Supposedly he was already on probation for a similar offense last year.

He'll go to a court in California were they treat drink driving as a serious crime.

Shia may do Jail time it depends.

As he finished filming Transformers 2?

I don't understand this crap. These people make millions upon millions of dollars every year. Can't the afford a taxi or limo when they go out?

There is absolutely no excuse whatsoever for this to be happening.

He's ten foot high and bullet proof. A Big Name Star who can do whatever he wants whenever he wants and get away with it...

Right up until a police officer knocks on the window and tells him to put his hands behind his head... :nono:

I read he and a passenger were actually hurt, as well as the person they hit. :csad:

Not only that, but he's probably going to send TF2 into all kinds of delays. Real nice, Leboof.

I hope the injured have a speedy recovery though, regardless of the dumbassness involved.

That would be to much like the "right" thing to do...than folks wonder why studio have to have the actors/actresses insured during filming of a movie.

Kids....I guess no one learned from the Paris Hilton fiasco of last summer...:lips:

He hurt his hand requiring surgery. He'll probably miss a couple of weeks

Other then the injury, this will have not effect shooting at all.

His past runs in's were nothing like this. He got in trouble for the Walgreen's incident and the smoking crap. He'll get fines and probation...it was ruled misdemeanor DUI

Also his car was actually hit..making a turn and flipped.

There are courts that don't take drunk driving seriously? I wouldn't wanna live in any of those districts...mother****ers drive drunk all over.

I honestly don't know what excuse this fool has for doing this now. Spielberg is basically allowing you to sit on his lap and produces everything you've been in and will probably ramp you up to A-list in no time, and you do this?

Who was Shia LeBeouf's mystery passenger in his weekend DUI crash? Aussie actress Isabel Lucas, his co-star in "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen," the sequel to last summer's blockbuster.

Sources say Lucas was riding shotgun with LaBeouf when he made a left turn on a red light and got broadsided in his Ford F150 around 2:45 Sunday morning in Los Angeles.

The actor suffered hand injuries and was arrested for drunk driving. Lucas was admitted to Cedars-Sinai hospital for "minor head injuries" and later released. A rep for the film said that Lucas is fine and back on set filming.

This just came in

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Authorities have determined that Shia LaBeouf was not at fault for an early-morning accident in Los Angeles.

Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore says detectives have determined that the other driver apparently ran a red light, and will be also be cited.

"He was not at fault," Whitmore said of the "Transformers" actor.

The car crash with Shia is unexpected, but we are still filming. The movie has not shut down - there is plenty to do without Shia. The shooting is also going great - I'm having a blast making this movie! Shia will be back soon and we wish all wish him a fast recovery.

Police: Shia LaBeouf was not at fault in car crash
BY NANCY DILLON
DAILY NEWS WEST COAST BUREAU CHIEF

Updated Tuesday, July 29th 2008, 4:20 PM

LOS ANGELES - He may have been drunk, but Hollywood heartthrob Shia LaBeouf didn't cause the dramatic weekend car accident that ended in his arrest, cops said Tuesday.

Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department investigators said another car blew a red light and broadsided LaBeouf's truck in the Sunday smashup.

"At this point it appears the other driver ran a red light, and LaBeouf was not the cause of the accident," Sheriff's spokesman Steve Whitmore told the Daily News.

The "Indiana Jones" star isn't off the hook yet.

LaBeouf, 22, was charged with misdemeanor DUI after displaying "outward sings of intoxication" at the West Hollywood intersection where his Ford pickup landed on its roof.

Whitmore said the department is still awaiting the results of LaBeouf's toxicology test, which should determine the actor's blood alcohol level and whether he'll face additional charges.

LaBeouf and shotgun passenger Isabel Lucas, the gorgeous Australian actress linked to "Entourage" star Adrian Grenier, were admitted to Cedars Sinai Medical Center where LaBeouf underwent "extensive" hand surgery.

Lucas, 23, LeBeouf's co-star in the new "Transformers 2" movie, was treated for minor injuries and released.

She was back on the sequel's set Monday, a studio source said.

LaBeouf's recuperation could take a month, according to his reps.

Director Bay Predicted Labeouf Crash
31 July 2008 11:59 PM, PDT

Transformers 2 director Michael Bay predicted Shia Labeouf would be involved in a road collision - he warned the star to be careful while driving just weeks before his car crash at the weekend.

The actor was arrested and charged with driving under the influence (DUI) after his truck flipped across a road and collided with another vehicle in Hollywood on Sunday.

Labeouf underwent "extensive surgery" on his hand after sustaining the injury in the accident, which reportedly means shooting on the Transformers sequel has stalled as cast and crew wait for the star to recover.

And in a bizarre twist, Bay revealed how he urged the young actor to take care on the roads when he bought a motorbike - because he risked putting the film's staff out of a job if he injured himself.

He tells America's Access Hollywood, ""We had a little heart to heart the week before when he bought a brand new motorcycle and I (said), 'Dude! You cannot ride that motorcycle! If you crash, you put 1,500 people out of work'. He said, 'Ok, I won't ride it, I won't ride it, I'll just drive my truck'."

And the moviemaker has confirmed Labeouf's injury has cost the movie some set-backs.

Bay adds, "I spoke to him yesterday in the hospital. His two fingers are pretty mashed, but we're figuring out a way to shoot around it, kind of write it in the story."

So they'll write it in....thats good I guess.

Star Magazine (http://www.starmagazine.com/shia_labeouf_amputation/news/14440) is reporting that due to the accident (http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/07/shia-injured-arrested-for-dui.html) Shia was in on July 27th, he may lose the pinky finger on his left hand. The report is from Star, whose reputation is spotty at best so I hope they are way off the mark.
Doctors have told Shia LaBeouf they may have to amputate one of his injured fingers, Star has learned exclusively.
The young star, now working on Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen is likely to lose the pinky on his left hand, a source on the movie set says.

"Shia called producers yesterday and told them," the source on the set in Alamogordo, N.M. says. "It's really thrown the movie into turmoil."

Shia, 21, mangled his hand when his SUV rolled over twice in a July 27 accident in West Hollywood. He was cited for DUI although cops say they do not believe the accident was his fault.

A request for comment from Shia's rep was not answered at press time. Bay has previously commented (http://transformerslive.blogspot.com/2008/08/shias-injuries-added-to-tf2-story.html) that Shia's "two fingers are pretty mashed...", or "crushed" as Shia's lawyers described (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,396448,00.html) it. Surgery was required to repair his hand after the accident. Sadly the need for an amputation is not far-fetched especially if the surgery didn't work or the area was infected enough that gangrene (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gangrene) has set in. The only treatment once gangrene sets in is debridement (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Debridement) or removal of the infected tissue, i.e. remove the finger. Hopefully Star's report will be confirmed as untrue so its too early to speculate the impact it would have on Transformers 2 production. Thanks to Melvin for the heads-up.Damn and bugger....

I noticed that too. The funny thing is that "buzznet" website that was one of the ones carrying the amputation story was also the one with the gallery of images showing a quite healthy looking pinky poking out past a bandaged ring, middle and possibly forefinger. :whatever: They run two 'exclusives' on pretty much the same story and the articles appear to contradict each other.
