I'm betting on Laserbeak. I mean, why would the new Frenzy have those wire-like hair projections coming out of his head and why would he literally "peck" the hood of the car?

I'm going with Rumble. Just because it doesn't have legs doesn't mean it doesn't have legs in the movie. It's obvious the legs are not need for that shot, as it seems we'll get the view that we're inside the car.

I also feel its Rumble. He looks so much like Frenzy, who is an exact duplicate of Rumble in G1. Doesn't really look bird-like enough to be Laserbeak or Buzzsaw.

Yeah, I'm still going with Laserbeak. Oh and I must say that the design for him is really great.

P.S. Technically, this is the first actual 'design' we've seen of a character from Revenge of the Fallen. Pretty cool.:yay:

Maybe it is Frenzy. Perhaps with the removal of the Allspark and its healing abilities, he rigged together a repair for his head from wires, scraps, and tin foil. Ya have to figure that the little guy survived being beheaded, so why not having only his head cut in half.

I woudl think Laserbeak too, but I'm not putting any money on it.
So any thoughts on how Soundwave is going to be handled? The Michael Bay transformers don't change size, and there really aren't any giant sound systems I can think of.

Soundwave could be a professional DJ system with like a big podieum and dozens of giant speakers, tho really that settup would be better for blaster, also soundwave was a spy so maybe some sort of servalance van or vehicle.
All that matters is that we get to hear Frank Welker go "RAVAGE RUMBLE LAZERBEAK , EJECT!" in a cylon centurian voice.

Well, I first thought that Soundwave could be a "Pimped Out" Hummer H2, Ravage being his CD sytem, Lazorbeak being an Eletric Guitar, and, Rumble being an I-pod.

How? I'm sorry, but I just don't see it. The head looks completely different as well as the neck. The body has a different design too. He is, however, the same size as Frenzy and skinny like Frenzy, but that's about it. Can you point out specifically why you think this looks like Frenzy?

I have a strong feeling that this is Ravage...look at the bots' chest it looks very similar to the steering column of the Audi R8, case in point the two large gauges and the matte black coloring.

Another thing that makes me point to Ravage is the fact that the bot has feline qualities such as the cat-like slender neck and head with a mane (like a lion anyone?). This makes me think they are using the same concept as Blackout & Scorpy.

Hell, Lazerbeak could form from the GPS and the other portion of the dash, it has enough surface space to form wings.

Well the front page of Superhero Hype, said that they got report from the summit and Ravage will be in the second movie. So I'm going to say again that, the transfromer in the pic is probably Ravage

It's probably Laserbeak. The concept art of Megatron and that mechanical beastie leads me to believe the latter is Ravage, being four-legged and whatnot. That one-eyed Decepticon looks nothing like this beak-nosed robot. Process of elimination dictates that either Ravage evolved vastly from his concept art into something vaguely avian or that Laserbeak is in the film.

what beak?? you are seeing things. and if it isnt' frenzy then they should have made it a different color because from that picture it looks like an upgraded version of frenzy. after all, he was kinda destroyed in the last one so it makes sense for him to reform from something OTHER than a boombox or cellphone

The beak is pretty clearly there. In fact, the footage (which has been removed from YouTube) even showed this Decepticon pecking away at the front of the car. Not slamming its head into it like Frenzy occasionally did, but pecking.

Are you talking about the Frenzy like robot attacking Sam in that car through the windshield? I think the latest on that was the new Australian actor was possibly a Pretender (a bot with an human shell), so it's a good chance that the Frenzy like bot it the Pretender after having it's organic shell removed.
