lol I don't really hate Toronto since hate takes too much energy.
I do get annoyed when any major Canadian city is renown to have a pompous attitude about itself in contrast to the rest of the country.

I message to Dalton McGuinty Regarding the new driving laws:
Hello Mr. McGuinty,
My name is Faran Moradipour and I am a 16 year old driver living in London, Ontario. I was born and raised in this province, and being raised in a bi-lingual environment I believe I understand a lot about being a Canadian citizen and more specifically an Ontarian.
I only just started driving and already I can tell a lot about the road and how things work, as well as how to act in specific situations. As you (or your mail screener) have probably guessed, this message is regarding the new driving laws. In response to the law on 0% blood-alcohol for anyone under 21, I think that that is brilliant because they would be drinking underage regardless. On the laws about no second chances and having only one passenger I think that those are irrational and unfair.
I understand that having no second chances is to instill fear into the hearts and minds of Ontarian youth to prevent them from breaking any rules, but is that how to govern a body of people? Do the citizens follow laws because they are afraid of the government? Does the government make the laws because it's afraid of its people? Or should both sides have enough respect for each other to uphold their own responsibilities?
Youth should realize that speeding and driving irresponsibly is a terrible crime and such crimes will not go unpunished but they should also learn from their own mistakes. Now I'm not saying give them a dozen chances, but maybe the first time it could be a speeding ticket (if their speed is well over the limit [15km/h?])and "a slap on the wrist".
The next one, having no more than one passenger between the ages of 16-19 in the car for any driver aged 21 and below brings up a few issues. The first one is, if you are 20 or 21 why is it you can have a full car of peers but not passengers a year or two younger, but then you can have children 5 years younger? The chosen years relative to the years that this law applies to is flawed. There could be two possible reasons to this law; 1. A young driver could act without as much experience in the time of emergency and put too many young lives at risk or 2. Too many peers in the car could act as a distraction for the driver. The problem here is that, with the first one we will have more inexperienced youth on the road now, in an open environment and if an emergency was to occur the possible accident could potentially be much larger if the majority of the youth involved were contained in one vehicle. The second point brings up the issue that a parent who can not control their kids has distraction in the back. A married couple in an argument can act as a distraction, loud music can act as a distraction, and in fact most of these would be greater distractions than that posed by three youth peers sitting in the back.
With the amount of passengers brought to one, the number of designated drivers at a party will have to rise 50%, but the sad reality is that underage drinking does occur and this will just lead to a greater disregarding for drinking and driving as everyone will have to get themselves home after a few beers.
On the point of it being about experience, if one driver has been driving since he was 16 and he is now 21, he can only have one peer passenger (even if the driver has four-five years of driving experience), now let's say there's an older gentlemen who just recently received his license and has only been driving two years (and can drive a van full of teenagers if he chooses), who is the most likely to get into an accident when the situations on the road become intense?
What you need to take into account is that the youth are the backbone of society's future. We will shape the outcome of the world and ridiculous laws such as these can change the way a lot of us look at government. This could lead to an apathy for voting, a bias against the liberals or just an unrestrained hate for the governing body.
You've made a lot of smart decisions in the best interest of Ontario and have stayed by every promise you've made, even through the tough times, I ask you not to ruin your good reputation with a discrimination against youth. I heard you say you're willing to have a discussion with the youth on this topic and I would like to ask you to hold a private discussion group between yourself, the heads of the Ontario Ministry of Transportation with youth from all across Ontario with with unbiased testimonials from youth CAA clients.
There will be a large number of Youth meeting at Queens Park on Saturday, December 20, 2008 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for a protest, and this would in fact be the ideal time for the meeting. I would personally love to take part in this discussion which I'm sure will be recorded in our country's history.
My most sincere salutations,
-Faran Esmaile Moradipour

You should try moving somewhere things don't suck. Like Alberta. Better get your fill now before the world wakes up and realizes that oil isn't the future.
The prairies suck the most (thats where I am)
