I think the title of the thread is pretty self-explanatory. I've been shocked that no one else has created this. There's an official movie thread, an official casting thread and so forth. I personally liked the old manip with the bigger cape. Superman NEEDS a big cape, IMO.

Just lower the neckline and make the blue a little bit darker and vibrant and we're good to go.

Honestly, he might be right about that. At this point, I'm not entirely convinced we'll actually see another Superman movie any time soon. Hell, they could announce a director and tell us a script is turned in, and I still wouldn't believe it.

I'll believe it when we get a set date and a starring actor. Until then, Superman might just go the way of The Flash and Wonder Woman movies we were hearing so much about a couple years ago.

I know very well that it might not make a difference, but if for some reason it does, well then that would be something wouldn't it? First of all, I don't have sources. See that? Pretty easy to claim one has sources isn't it? Secondly, savesuperman has not made any claims that he's in the running what so ever. The petition and more is all part of a large campaign to let warners know that there are fans out there who want it to happen.

This suit is nice. It can be improved upon....when it comes to the texture. A bit more muscle defintiion needs to be added. I like the S and the neckline. The colors work well also.

Visually this looke nice as well. The colors are sweet, but the neckline needs to be cut down and the cape needs to be attached closer to the shoulder area. The S shield needs to be bigger and the more muscle definition added.

You're right, that IS an awesome shield.. perfect size and everything. I guess I just never paid much attention to it for the sole reason that I don't like the actor.

Brandon Routh fits that bill.

Can you be more specific? IMHO Routh has Fred Flintstones eyebrows for example, that and an effeminate structure with an hourglass waist, and holds more of his weight and leg mass in his hips. He also has a thin neck, and his hair looked like weird swirl.


I'm not saying you should not like Routh, but I never once felt he looked like superman. That and I think we see entirely different things when we compare Routh an Cudmore.

Hey I got an idea we both can live with.

Why not WB make 2 different Superman movies at the same time, and let the fans get to see both.

They could make one for guys like yourself, who like Routh. Let Singer do the whole thing.

Then the Superman movie I envision could be made, and not even be titled Superman. They could call it "Action Comics", and cast Cudmore.

Superman is such a character that certain fans see him very differently than others. My way of looking at him is from the comics standpoint, where I prefer art from guys like Jim Lee and Alex Ross. I loved Superman TAS + Justice league etc... So you can see why I like Cudmore so much, with Padalecki as a second.

My guess is that you were less of a fan of the material that I was, and that you are more attached to the Reeve and Routh look, that I am diametrically different from in my view of the character.

First thought: Black Widow Supes.
Interesting idea but too many stripes for Supes, unless this is his prison suit (j/k). The red just above the belt actually makes him look wider; might leave that one. Kind of like the muscle bands on his upper arms but not sure they go with the character - Supes isn't the type to go around flexing to impress the chicks. Would be a different take on the character, for sure...

Have seen this or a very similar one before & like the artwork. Supes costume - a modern take, but could work with some tweaking. Given what you have here, I'd take the no-longer-briefs and add red going down from them, around, and down the back in an inverted 'v' or even a spiral. Would look more like an 'x' from the front; would look really cool when he flies.
