I think Phil has been smoking the doobie with Robert Parrish and Bill Walton.
Not that there is anything wrong with that.

He is referring to Rodman's passion, & I would have to agree with him on that. Dude was intense, & wanted that ball more than anyone I have ever seen. & he did always bring the energy the entire game.

This guy was perhaps the most ferocious rebounder to ever play the game.

Greatest Athlete? Maybe he was drunk and meant Jordan.

In terms of pure athleticism, sure. I can buy it. Playing Rodman's position the way he did takes a toll on a player, and Dennis held it down for YEARS.

Nah, I remember an interview where Michael Jordan said that Dennis Rodman was the smartest basketball player he'd ever seen. It makes sense.

Kobe Bryant is my favorite current player, but Dennis Rodman's mental game was tougher than Kobe's, and Kobe's no slouch in that department either.
D-Rod was the most complete, unselfish player. In his early days with the Pistons, he was an offensive monster. Later, he became a defensive guru who would play mind games with people. The temper-tantrums were a bit much, but he played with an edge.

That's because they're basketball players.
The bar is being set kind of low.
