I like Jazz as much as the next guy but I really don't think he will be back Even Bob Orci said that they will be exploring new characters, but I was just thinking who everyone else thought the next Autobot do die would be Sorry if there is already a post about this.

I'm betting a lot of them die in this movie. Why not? It's a war, and its not exactly like they flesh out these characters anyway.

We saw here when they filmed the opening action scene in Bethlehem and haven't seen her since.

If I had to guess...

Ratchet will die, making it hard to save a dying Optimus who ends the film mortally wounded and his status up in the air.

Ironhide is likely safe. Bumblebee will make it, as he's the bot people can most identify with and maybe we'll get to see some of his optimism or something this time around.

There has to be someone who's upset and willing to avenge (Ironhide) and someone who's hopeful to counterbalance the darkness around them (Bumblebee).

I thought of Rachet too, not so sure about Prime I think Bay is trying to make his own Transformers Universe and I think Prime dying would be to much like the 1986 movie, me and one of my friends got into it about that, personally I think he needs to let the "86" movie go. I just don't see this series of movies going in that direction, I do believe Prime will get hurt but I don't see him dying, no matter what my friend says.

True, which is why he won't kill him off, but I could definitely see him in a position where it's a cliffhanger if he's going to live or die.

But yeah, Optimus won't die, at least not in this one. Fandom is too attached to him, and hopefully Hasbro learned from the last time they tried to off him. Fan reaction to the early leaks on the first film got a nice bump when Cullen was attached, so I'd say it'd be suicide for them to mess with that.

If the Constructicons are going to be in the film, they're going to need some way to top it and hook people on another film. Putting his status in the air, only to save him in the 3rd in time for him to make the ultimate sacrifice would be one way to do so.

IF they go the Unicron route or something for the 3rd, chances are, Autobots and Decepticons are going to have to work together and Prime will be the key to everything. If the treatment for TF2 was true, I could see said Decepticon begrudgingly saving Optimus if confronted with such a threat.

Not to mention the whole idea of "the fallen" (if not in reference to THE FALLEN) could establish some sort of mortality/resurrection status quo which would play into a third film.

Just speculation really.. I know nothing :D

EDIT: Imagine if they leaked an image of Optimus (2009) ala 1986..

Yeah that would be something, but Bay already said that this was a stand alone movie and he didn't want it to end on any cliffhangers. I think there will be little hints to what will happen in the third film but that's it. I do agree that they will try to build some stuff up for the third one but I just don't think it will be something that will end on a cliffhanger, I guess we will just have to wait and see.

I was also thinking on the Decepticons side that Starscream might bite the dust I don't know why but I can see him getting killed and the third movie being about Prime and Megatron, I think the third one Megatron will finally be in the movie from start to finish, atleast I hope.

I personally am hopeing for the Dinobots grimlock and comapny my favorite Transformers of all time.

I know they have a lot of Dinobot fans out there, but I don't see them working in Bays Transformers universe, unless they where triple changers and had a vehicle mode.

I think ultra magnus should be in it, only if its jus for a sec. But then bay would probably screw that up also. Dinobots would be awsome to see on the big screen though.
