I think its superb, I liked his jet mode, but a alien tank fits Megatron so much more, and the design is superb IMO.

Heck, would be cool to see his cannon charge up with bright yellow/orange light to mimic the color of Galvatrons cannon. No reason why they cannot combine the ideas of tank Megatron and cannon Galvatron into one character.

When I heard about him possibly transforming into a tank, I thought they meant an army tank or something.

So I guess whenever he scans some Earth vehicle it just becomes a Cybertronian version of it.

I was kind of hoping that when rebuilding megatron or other characters their look would be more "primitive" because of the technology of Earth. Give them a more traditional toned down look. Oh well.

Judging by his tank mode, the comic cover of him worshiping an ancient relic, and the fact that the Fallen is a herald of Unicron, I think Megatron will have survived in the first movie and is badly damaged or recovered by other decepticons and then, when he discovers the relic and pledges allegiance to the Fallen, he gets reformatted into Galvatron and his tank mode.

The prequel comic takes place After TF1, before TF2 and before, during, AND after the official TF sequel comic, Reign of Starscream.

The Prequel comic Revenge of the Fallen: Destiny Defiance apparently reveals how he emerges from the ocean. This is the cover of the third issue of Destiny Defiance Prequel.
