As a child I always liked singing "He has the whole world in his hands"
I like "Place in this World" I also like hearing Josh Groban's "Raise me up."
Even if people aren't religious, I'd like to think that some of these songs can at least be inspirational or even lift your mood a little.

Listen to the lyrics. Seriously. That song is not about worshipping the Devil as most people seem to think. How are these references to Satan considered Godly?
"he'll be the love in your eyes
he'll be the blood between your thighs
and then have you cry for more
he'll put the strength to the test
he'll put the thril back in bed..."
that sounds very pro-Satan to me.

How are these references to Satan considered Godly?
"he'll be the love in your eyes
he'll be the blood between your thighs
and then have you cry for more
he'll put the strength to the test
he'll put the thril back in bed..."
that sounds very pro-Satan to me.
You have to take all of the lyrics in context, not just one slice:
Shout shout shout
Shout shout shout
Shout at the devil
He's the wolf screaming lonely in the night
He's the blood stain on the stage
He's the tear in your eye
Being tempted by his lies
He's the knife in your back
He's rage
He's the razor to the knife
Oh, lonely is our lives
My head's spinnin' round and round
But in the seasons of wither
We'll stand and deliver
Be strong and laugh and
[Chorus:]
Shout shout shout
Shout at the devil
Shout shout shout
He'll be the love in your eyes
He'll be the blood between your thighs
And then have you Crying for more
He'll put strength to the test
He'll put the thrill back in bed
Sure you've heard it all before
He'll be the risk in the kiss
Might be anger on your lips
Might run scared for the door
But in seasons of wither
We'll stand and deliver
Be strong and laugh and
Shout shout shout
Shout at the devil
Shout shout shout
Shout at the devil
He's the wolf screaming lonely in the night
He's the blood stain on the stage
He's the tear in your eye
Being tempted by his lies
He's the knife in your back
He's rage
He's the razor to the knife
Oh, lonely is our lives
My head's spinnin' round and round
But in the seasons of wither
We'll stand and deliver
Be strong and laugh and
Shout shout shout
Shout at the devil x6
Shout shout shout x5 (fades into background)
The lyrics of each verse are all about how the devil uses temptation as a tool and that even though it feels incredibly good, the Devil will cheat you and ultimately do you wrong, which then leads to the bridge of "We'll stand and deliver, be strong and laugh and", which is saying that we'll resist the Devil and be strong and laugh at him and just shout at him (which comprises the chorus).
It's actually a very anti-devil song. It just uses rather blatant and harsh, shocking imagery to get it's point across. I'm an agnostic and even I can recognize this

I'll leave it to Mr. West to describe such a laughable situation;

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tLZAWtdFhio
In this world I walk alone
With no place to call my home
But there's one who holds my hand
The rugged road through barren lands
The way is dark, the road is steep
But He's become my eyes to see
The strength to climb, my griefs to bear
The Savior lives inside me there
In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee
In these trials of life I find
Another voice inside my mind
He comforts me and bids me live
Inside the love the Father gives
In Your love I find release
A haven from my unbelief
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee
Take my life and let me be
A living prayer, my God to Thee

While I know this isn't exactly the point of the thread, I think it's somewhat relevant and funny. I went down to where I went to college this weekend and was out partying, met up with an old friend, who got heavily into drugs and is now working on getting himself sorted out and is a Born Again Christian and knew of a Christian rock band playing. Me and some friends wanted to go to the strip club and he agreed to drive since he doesn't drink anymore, on the way he tried to convince us to go see this band. Knowing it was Christian rock we had no desire to see it and instead just kept repeating strip club until he stop trying to convince us otherwise.

Christian Black Metal?
I can get Christian Death Metal and whatnot, but Black Metal is characterized by being anti-Christian.
Thats how it was founded in the 80s but in the 90s black metal bands started singing about nature, science, fairy tales, and mythology instead of just being anti-christian. These bands are all considered black metal due to the sound of the music being black metal and they are not anti-christian.
The first Christian black metal band came out in 94. There are tons of them today. Many Satanists get upset and will tell you otherwise but black metal is really characterized by the sound of the music these days, not the lyrics.

Haha, yeah I could never take Vomitorial Corpulence too seriously...I used to go to their site and listen to their first cd song samples while reading the lyrics and not sure whether they were serious or not.
