Simple question: cable ties

I just started to use cable ties on my garbage bags, but recently I forgot to add more (wasn't paying attention) but I had no way of undoing the cable tie to do so. Is there a way?

cable ties for your trash. Just grab the top of the bag at both ends like pigtails and twist it to make a knot in the bag. Works for me. But use wire cutters to cut the cable tie.

Needle nose pliers with the blades, wire cutters, bolt cutters, really sharp steel scissors, or a good knife with a serrated edge.
