I think it should be Kate cause not only is she hot, but she has the look and the accent and im surprised no ones thought of her. My second choice is Eliza. But this is my first post but i have been readin these threads for about a year... and i didnt read the script but can tell ya what u want to know about batman.

i know i know she isnt but just if she was to show up in a future movie.....like if they had ra's test bruce by sending the leauge of shadows, assasigns to kill tahlia. bruce would save tahlia showing ra's that bruce is a worthy heir to the throne and also a mate for tahlia, it is a good way to have them meet and have ra's and bruce's relationship continue. like in the comics.

I know she isn't in this movie, but if she were to show up in a future film, who would you want? She could be introduced by having the League of Shadows assigned to kill her and Batman saves her, not knowing who she she is or if she's important. Later, it would be revealed that it was staged as a test by Ra's Al Ghul and he has assigned Talia to get close to the Batman. Talia would be knew bait for Ra's to get Bruce to join his side. Ra's needs a successor, and what would be more tempting than a gorgeous girl? It would be a good way to continue the Ra's Al Ghul/Batman dynamic if he were to return. I don't think he'll be seen again in the third film, but in a possible World's Finest film it would work.

I have no problem with her, i liked her in all the roles she's played, APie is my favorite trillogy, probably.....but i dont see her in a Batfilm, nor do i see her as talia.

Yet, if she was cast, id probably accept it cause she is hot, i just dont see her acting in that genre, its outta character for her.

She's also mentioned in the novel which is based on the screenplay, but ultimately didn't make it into the film for whatever reason. Which is why I believe she won't appear in the sequels either. It doesn't make much sense for Nolan & Goyer to suddenly change their minds when they omitted any reference and skipped the perfect opportunity. I think they will continue with Rachel or introduce the more recognizable female characters like Catwoman, Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn.

Just my speculation though. I may be proven wrong by 2008. :)

She almost definately won't be in the upcoming sequel, but she may be in a future sequel, maybe even after Nolan has handed over to another director. The potential of an arch nemesis with a role in Batman's origin, like Ra's al Ghul, is just to huge to neglect.

At that point, why bother? You'd have to weave her storyline through an incredible amount of history and then people are going to question what took her so long to show up when her father died 3 movies ago.

If Talia is going to make any appearance, the idea time would be the next movie. Otherwise the further Ra's Al Ghul is put in the past, I wouldn't even consider her plausible.

It would take a LOT to convince the audience that he didn't die in that wreck. Remember, they have to keep those unfamiliar with the comic storylines in mind too. And since they keep stressing realism, I believe the only way we will see Ra's again is in flashbacks.

Where is Talia mentioned on the DVD? I watched all the featurettes and didn't hear one word about her.

Ra's/Ducard very well could, but I think he would have mentioned that fact to Bruce as they grew closer. Especially if he was keen on hooking them up. That is why I doubt her appearance in the sequels. I think like the immortality issue, Nolan & Goyer kind of politely ignored it for the sake of simplicity. Batman isn't a soap opera after all. :)

I agree with your choices. I've always thought that Eva Green would be a perfect Talia. Virginie Ledoyen is a great candidate also. These French girls are not just breathtakingly beautiful but they're also talented and sexy. Other french actresses that could make a memorable Talia are Audrey Tautou(from Amelie) and Ludivine Sagnier-she was the sexy, mysterious girl in 'Swimming Pool'. She wore a bikini during most of the movie and had some pretty hot nude scenes.

Neeson is Irish, but I don't think we were really meant to consider the Ra's al Ghul that he was playing to be Irish, or even European.

Well, Ra's is very ambiguos. We know that he spent a lot of time in the Middle East, and that that is where he met his wife, however, we do not know where he was born. He could have been, what i think would be interesting: An English boy who is orphaned at a young age, and then taken during some sort of Raid as a slave to the middle east, and then our familiar story takes off from there. It would draw a subtle yet interesting parallel to the Dark Knight.


Therefore, because no one truely knows his origin, he could verywell be Irish, English, German, Italian, Arabic, whatever. I believe that the best fit for his daughter is Kate Beckinsale.

My top 3 picks for Talia are:

1.) Kate Beckinsale
2.) Rachel McAdams (I'll compromise a little of the physical match, she's still gorgeous though, for a great actress)
