View Full Version : What Sport Would You Add To The Olympics?

There are a few sports in the Olympic Games that we say"What is that in the Olympics for?" I can think of a few.

There are also a few sports that are NOT in the Olympic Game. I have a few suggestions, (They're in the poll). I have heard people talk about sports that also should be there, (They're also in the poll).

What's your idea?

Jousting with no armor. Sword fighting... to the death. And all of the athletes should play in the nude, like in the original olympics (then pretty much the only thing I'd watch would be Women's Gymnastics and Women's races).

Poker, as it seems to be very popular nowadays.

If Poker can be shown on ESPN in Primetime, then it can be an Olympic sport.

Golf as well should be in the Olympics, especially with 2012 in London. They could use the British Open golf courses for Olympic Golf.

Madden would also be a good addition, although it will get tiring to hear Madden ramble on about how much he loves Brett Favre.

I would love to see lacrosse added in the mix, but it's not as popular as some of the others on this list.

I picked "Other" and my others would be Formula 1 like version of auto racing. Ofcourse it can't be exactly Formula 1 because of the enourmous ammount of money a team/country would have to invest ($500+ million)

my other sport would be MMA. Come on every country should have a decent MMA fighter. The olympics shouldnt be subject to Tae Kwon Do, Greco Wrestling and Boxing.

Also trampoline and net ball is a *****ing joke!

Boxing is cheap now. Taekwondo is also cheap, good for girls though. Ping-Pong should be out...too restricted to asians. Tennis should be out. Volleyball is only sport that is there twice? WTF? Beach and 6-on-6. Shooting is stoopid. Fencing is stoopid. Athletics is originally the best. Swimming has too many categories, possible to win 10 gold medals, this is stoopid. Diving is stoopid. In fact, too many water events in Olympics. Why? Who is the fastest swimmer anyways? Phelps didn't win this category. Fastest, strongest, most skilled, smartest, slickest should be the ultimate goal for any atlete at the Olympics to prove. On this note, Chess might be a good choice. Easy to play, but you need smarts, slickness and strategy to win as there can be multiple combonations. Poker, you can't count the cards via online, so luck is a big factor there. No good. Dancing is not a sport but a recreational activity.

If Poker becomes an Olympic event then they have to add "Going to the fridge for a beer", as well.
