I'll give that Pitcher some credit for getting out of that inning.

He got out of the inning twice. He deserves a ton of credit.

As a Met fan, I am eternally grateful to Darren Oliver for pitching like 6 shouthout innings int he 06 NLCS after Trachsel stunk it up.

These road games you should always pack an extra starter that can go 3-4 innings once your closer is used up. Just settle the game down and let him work like it's a 3 inning game. Oliver is already gone so I don't know who they have left. I turned the game off anyhow. **** this series... buying myself a Manny jersey.

Some Philly fans, this year and the last, didn't show up until late in the season during the playoffs. All they did was brag. However, they've never been as bad as someone like Gamma Ray. There was one guy who was really annoying but he's not posted in over a year.

Yeah the angels had like four or five pitchers left and we had one, so we would have been in big trouble if we didn't win there. I think he puts in too many pitchers for one out right now, but luckily the pitchers right now are coming through. Pitchers haven't come through for the Yanks in October in years, so this is great to see.

I appreciate the comment, Kingfish. The series is far from over. The Yankees are horrible in Los Angeles. The Angels could easily take the next three games. Plus, we don't know how effective Sabathia will be on 3 days rest.

Some Philly fans, this year and the last, didn't show up until late in the season during the playoffs. All they did was brag. However, they've never been as bad as someone like Gamma Ray. There was one guy who was really annoying but he's not posted in over a year.

Phillies. At the very least they get another WS for the NL.

It just boggles my mind that Mets fans would want your arch nemesis and primary rival, the Phillies, to win over the Yankees.

That like me saying I want the Red Sox to win over the Mets. Thats just ridiculous... No matter if its the NL or AL.

I think this is a 7 game series...Personally, I think if LA has a lead and they get it to Broxton this time around he will shut down the Phils. But there is no guarantee with the LA bullpen, however great they are. This phillies lineup is beast.

The dodgers really need Mannywood to come alive.
A Dodgers Yankees series would be amazing and its probably the one the media wants. Alot of old history between the two franchises. Must not think about this yet.

Yankees need game 4 is why. You can't rely on Burnett in game 5. Angels have a better chance than most people think of sweeping these three games IMO. If Pettite wins then go with Gaudin though.

No, Dodgers actually do have the prospects, but were not willing to part with them. They would not trade players such as Kemp or Kershaw in an attempt to land Lee. Last night sucked, but if the Dodgers can turn it around tonight and even the series again, we'll be sitting ok

They should've include Billingsley or Kershaw to sweeten the deal. I know that it means Dodgers will lose one of their young, promising pitchers, but now Lee is head and shoulders above either one of these pitchers, and it would've meant the difference in this series.

Kershaw would have been a mistake. Billingsley has struggled at times...I'm not 100% sure about him.

Much of The Dodgers talent is very young so I don't think they have to win now. They're built for the long haul.

It's just weird having a championship game held at 4 in the afternoon, 1 pacific. Some Angel fans are still in work and probably won't get home in time to see it. I don't remember them ever having an ALCS/NLCS game in the afternoon in quite a while. Did it happen last year? Maybe I was paying enough attention.

No, I'm a Met fan. I was rooting for the Twins because I wanted them to get to the playoffs so Mauer would be a lock for the MVP. I'm rooting for the Angels because of Nick Adenhart dying earlier in the season. I use their logos as my avy since I rarely ever change it during the year. And don't worry, I won't use a Phillies logo as my avy.
