Sounds like that's how they're going.

Black Widow, Crimson Dynamo, and.... someone. Could be almost anyone, but if this is an all-KGB sheet then maybe it's Red Guardian?

Female lead definitely sounds like Black Widow.

Well for the female lead, since it doesn't explicitly say that she's European (just that she speaks several languages), I was thinking more along the lines of Sharon Carter.

Or Maria Hill?

Female lead could be Whitney Frost aka Madam Masque.:im:

"Male Lead" and "Bruiser" I think are interchangeable for Crimson Dynamo and Titanium Man. And given the Russian theme that seems to be in this, I'm guessing "Female Lead" is the Black Widow. Though it could be easily be Madame Masque or Bethany Cabe.

The female lead is no doubt Black Widow.

I think Crimson Dynamo is where they're heading. I guess Mandarin is for #3, which I was hoping for.

Agree. CD and BW make the most sense.

Sounds too Cold Warish... I hope it's Count Nefaria/Madam Masque... and another armored villain. Part 2 usually has those exotic villains of sorts... guess Mandarin would have worked as well... hope he has a cameo or supporting role at least.

Really hoping for Black Widow, she will most likely never get a solo film shot, so i would love to see her in IM2.

Crimson Dynamo will make for one hell of a climatic fight scene too.

The way I'm reading this casting call make me think that they're going for something similar to what I proposed in another thread recently.

To expand on that, maybe Titanium Man and the Unicorn could play role as well? Maybe something where Boris Bullski, the original Titanium Man, is a Russian general looking to revive the Soviet Union, and has an interest is obtaining Stark's weapons? Then you can have the Black Widow, Crimson Dynamo, and the Unicorn in there as henchmen.

The two male leads are for Crimson Dynamo.

Professor Anton Vanko a Soviet Scientist of Armenian decent (Eastern European actor they're looking for) was the creator of the first Crimson Dynamo armor, later worn by him and about 12 others.

I'm betting the Russian bruiser they're looking for is going to be the actual wearer of the armor or just a henchman that roughs up Tony.

The female lead I'm hoping for is Black Widow to put her alongside Fury.

I just realized how little I know about Iron Man.

so... we all agree more or less that the female part is Black Widow?

following the long and inane tradition of these boards I demand a pointless black widow casting thread!

I tend to agree, Favreau has hinted with the latest turmoil over in Georgia, it gives him the opening he needed to introduce Crimson Dynamo. I was hoping for a CD and Titanium Man tag team, but the Vanko story arc makes the most sense.

I would agree that Venko being Male Lead makes sense. Though I also think Bruiser could be Boris Bullski.

Frankly, I think if they're going with another armored villain a Crimson Dynamo/Titanium Man tag team would be the best way to distinguish them from Stane.

I hope not, "30s, Eastern European, brilliant, gritty..." is not how I'd want Hawkeye to appear.

Um... yes!

Female lead, supporting and cameo for Olga!

Hawkeye and Black Widow will be supporting characters. They won't be leading characters. So, i'd go with Dr. Vanko (Male lead), Madam Masque (Female Lead) and Crimson Dynamo (Bruiser).

Yes, but they may be considered "LEADS" by the studio in that they will (potentially) have much larger parts in future Marvel Movies.

Ironfan72

They will essentially be taking the roles vacated by the departures of Raza and Obidiah Stane, so those are 2 holes to fill with new villians.
