I recently watched the movie "Bound," which was made by the Wachowski Brothers before they decided that they were only going to do futuristic sci-fi films. It wasn't a perfect movie, but it was definitely a unique and interesting crime thriller. I don't know specifically where the story could go in a sequel, but I'd actually be interested to see one, though I know it would never happen. The main characters were interesting and the story could easily roll on into another adventure.

What are some films that you'd like to see a sequel to, but you know it will never come about?

You guys keep saying that The Incredibles 2, like it will never happen, but remember: It's going to be eleven years between Toy Story 2 and 3. It's been four years since we got the first Incredibles. Give it time. It may not be very soon, but I'm sure that we will all be seeing The Incredibles on the big screen again.

Anyway, I'd really love to see the Star Wars sequel trilogy. The prequels sucked ass, Lucas must've been snorting cocaine off a hookers ass when he thought that they would be a good idea.

Well the thing is Cars came out after The Incredibles and it already has a sequel announced.

So? That doesn't mean anything other than that Disney's priorities are screwed up. But I dont think that they're stupid enough to not see how huge a sequel to The Incredibles would be. If they want to rush a sequel for Cars, and, in the process, screw it up then that is fine by me. I'd rather them take time to do an Incredibles sequel right. No rush.

Sure. Why not.:yay:

Dont change my quotes around to make the prequels sound decent! :cmad: They're trash compared to the first three, no debate necessary!

However I cant stay too angry at you, with an awesome avvy like that.... but the SW prequels are still s***.

Yeah, thats it. I was getting mixed up with the awful comic book sequel... But still, the last line of P2 is "dont worry, you'll get your chance", as glover looks meaningfully towards the sky... The whole scene has the feeling of "This **** aint over", y'know?

i don't know. as long as it's not as rancid and awful as AVP: requiem. That movie just took the franchise to a whole new trashy low, where as the original films were influential and great.

I agree with both Van Helsing and LOEG. I felt that they should've delved more into the whole "Van Helsing might be the Archangel Gabriel" concept with a sequel, if not a prequel film. That concept is part of why I love that movie in the first place! As for LOEG, I felt that they were on the verge of showing Quartermain rising from his grave alive and well at the end, but it cuts to the credits just before it happens! I wanna know more about what happens next with him and the gang, Alan Moore's hatred towards Hollywood be damned!

Man, I really do want a sequel. The release date that was picked was all Paramount's fault. It would have opened better in the holiday season.

If Jurassic Park 4 does get made at some point, you can count on it being a reboot.

what kind of reboot are you talking about?

Are you talking about a Nolan Batman type reboot, or a reboot where it's a series of new movies but still have continuity with the originals (ie Predators/JJ Abrams Star Trek)?

If it's the former, I can't see how anyone can drastically improve on the timeless first film. It might be more faithful but it probably won't touch the legacy.

-I'd rather see a prequel than sequel to Serenity, for 2 reasons: (1) The events of Serenity would be a suitable ending for the Firefly mythos and (2) Wash and Book died in the first one and I don't know if I'd like it as much without them.
-I'd love to see a Sin City 2, but I've given up hope that it will ever get made. And to think, it was once slated for a summer 2006 release.
-I'd probably like an Evil Dead 4, even if it wasn't that good a movie.
-I could go for another X-Men movie if Singer did it.

I would LOVE to see a Bladerunner sequel

I mean not necessarily with Harrison Ford or anything but just going to that landscape again that city, the production design and some of the visuals are some of the best I've seen, just sheer classic. So unique, I would LOVE to see a film return to that universe. There was a thought of having a film called Metropolis which apparently had some kick ass pre-production or at least some art work done but it was completely scrapped.. I really REALLY want to see a return to the Bladerunner world...

Empty Promises: You Want Them But These Movies Will Never Happen (http://cinemablend.com/new/Empty-Promises-You-Want-Them-But-These-Movies-Will-Never-Happen-18267.html)
Cloverfield 2

Cloverfield existed in a specific place and time and captured something special among movie audiences. They've been promising a sequel to it since the first one debuted in early 2008, but the longer it takes the less likely it seems. Cloverfield just isn't the kind of movie that people keep caring about and interest wanes more with every passing day. Besides, how do you follow up a movie which revolved primarily on not showing you the monster? How many times can that gimmick really work? It was great once, but how do you do a real sequel to that? How do you keep inventing excuses to hide something the size of a skyscraper? You can't and you don't. At best Cloverfield is likely to turn into just another Godzilla movie and if they're doing that, then let's ditch the alien bug thingy and bring in the actual, you know, Godzilla. He has experience at this sort of thing. When it comes to stomping Tokyo flat, nobody does a better job than Japan's favorite giant lizard. Cloverfield 2 is still being promised but there's been so little actual movement in the two years since the original one that it feels like the moment has passed.

Does anybody here care if Cloverfield 2 happens? Now that Godzilla is back does Cloverfield matter?

How about a sequel to "Being John Malkovich"? Maybe "Being Tom Cruise"? or "Being Steven Segal"? :hehe:

I would also like to see Being Christopher Walken , I think that would be hilarious.

Alias movies, set after the TV series (like Star Trek did). I know the series had complete and undeniable closure, but still, big-screen Alias movies would be awesome.

So many.

Back to the Future 4 (one of my favorite trilogyes, but I don't see how a new movie can be made, given that the actors are a bit old now, and the there's no point to where the story will go)
Jurassic Park 4 (There are rumors that a fourth movie will be made for fice years now, and nothing. And now that Michael has passed, I consider it impossible.)
Batman 3 (Tim Burton Batman sequel to Returns. It would be amazing to see Burton's take on Two-Face and Riddler)
Godzilla 2 (Sequel to Roland's 1998 Godzilla. I like the movie alot, and that end was a sure sequel teaser, but since everybody like the lame puppet Godzilla that destroys LEGO towns better, the movie failed)

If i think of more, I will post.

I'd love to see the guys who did the legendary documentary Heavy Metal Parking Lot (and its sequels, Neil Diamond Parking Lot, Harry Potter Parking Lot, etc.) do one on the Twilight movies.

If you're not familiar with the series, basically, the filmmakers just go around the parking lot of a venue where a concert or other big event is taking place and interview the weirdest, most outlandish fans they can find. The first one was filmed at a Judas Priest concert in the 80's. Can you IMAGINE the kind of tools and freaks that these guys could find at the opening of a Twilight film? Teenage girls who have Robert Pattinson tramp-stamp tattoos? Bimbos in "Team Jake" t-shirts who write hate mail to any girl that's ever been romantically linked to Taylor Lautner? Emo guys in pale makeup who have attempted to sell their souls to Satan to become vampires and drink Kristen Stewart's blood?

I want to see that movie.

yeah cause a story about the horrors of nuclear testing is so much more lame than a giant iguana, a jurassic park rip off and lines like "thats a lotta fish":whatever:

I would like to see a sequel to The Right Stuff about the Gemini project. The Right Stuff is pretty much the definitive version of Mercury and From the Earth to the Moon does a good job with Apollo, but Gemini is greviously overlooked.

I'd love to see Ford return as Jack Ryan in both 'Debt of Honour' & 'Executive Orders'

Ford is the right age now, IMHO, to play Ryan as President.... and we could even get old Sam L Jackson back as his mate/VP...

With all the characters like Indy and McLane and Rambo, they should bring back Topper Harley (Charlie Sheen from Hot Shots) to parody these comebacks.

Since I couldn't really find a thread about this, I thought I'd post this here. Anyway, Titanic 2 is actually happening...direct-to-DVD.

Asylum productions has a history of adapting well known titles and transforming them into campy knockoffs like The Terminators, Transmorphers, Snakes on a Train, Da Vinci Treasure, and Temple of the Skulls. Titanic 2 was written and directed by Shane Van Dyke and stars Bruce Davison, Brooke Burns, and Marie Westbrook. Here’s a brief synopsis of the film based on the boat that won’t to die…

On the 100th anniversary of the original voyage, a modern luxury liner christened “Titanic 2,” follows the path of its namesake. But when a tsunami hurls an ice berg into the new ship’s path, the passengers and crew must fight to avoid a similar fate.

Riiiiiiight....

I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before, but I'd love to see a sequel to Willow. The first movie is one of the best sword & sorcery movies ever made. There was a book written about Elora Danin when she's a spoiled teenager. I never read it, but the premise lends itself to being a good sequel.

Wasn't a huge theatrical success, but became quite popular after being released on video. It's a fun, if cliche, martial arts action film starring Marc Dacoscos

and Paco Christian Prieto.
http://s11.allstarpics.net/images/orig/j/d/jd4yuf7wq6r4djy6.jpg

In the sequel, Silverio (Paco Christian Prieto) gets out of prison (he either escapes or is paroled). He immediately goes about seeking revenge on the man who put him behind bars, Louis Stevens (Mark Dacascos). He seeks out and kills each of Stevens' capoeira students, one by one. He starts with his own cousin, Orlando, killing him in the garage where he works as a mechanic. Then he kills Eddy at the music store where he works. Then he kills Shay at the youth centre where he volunteers. At some point, he breaks into Stevens' house, rapes his wife Diana (Stacey Travis), and kidnaps his son Donovan (named after the student who was killed in the first movie). Now Stevens has to face Silverio in a fight to the death to save his son.

That's how I would write it anyway.
