Thorn curse storyline was lame and stupid. Just a piss poor excuse to give Micheal super natural powers.

Except that Thorn didn't give Michael any supernatural powers...
I don't remember much about any of the movies except the first one and the remake... because I've seen the first one and the remake recently.. All I know is that I'm able to enjoy all of them except for Resurrection.

I love H20, but my one disappointment is that the filmmakers really went out of their way to ignore what had come in 4-6. They even had a scene written that had a few students in the classroom Laurie was teaching mentioning something about Jamie getting killed by Michael and Laurie runs to a bathroom and throws up. It's a shame they deleted it.

I think they had to ignore parts 4-6. Aside from parts 5 and 6 being crap with all the Thorn rubbish, how on earth could they justify Laurie and her husband fleeing town, faking Laurie's death, and abandoning their little girl in Haddonfield to the mercy of Michael Myers in the process?
Why on earth would Laurie do that? Leave her own child behind? Makes no sense. She could have just faked the whole family's death in a car accident, and they could all have fled Haddonfield and relocated elsewhere. No way would Laurie leave her child behind in Haddonfield.

It was implied the rage given to him by the curse of Thorn that made him kill his family also gave him the ability to do all he did, such as feats of strength no man his size should be able to do, as well as the ability to withstand all the injuries that came his way.

I always assumed Laurie thought that Jamie would not be located since she had been integrated into the foster family as if she was a real member of the family.
Also, in the original version of H20 that accounted 4-6, Laurie mentions that Loomis had promised to watch over her.

I figured the Thorn cult was tied into him writing Samhain in blood on the schoolboard in Halloween 2.

Wasn't the Thorn curse some Indian thing or something? Also love H20, outside Halloween 1 and 2 of the originals, its one of my favorite Halloween movies.
Too bad they had to follow it up with Kung Fu Master/Rapper Busta Rhymes Meets Micheal Myers in Halloween Resurrection. I mean they could of had a better storyline then that. Why Micheal go after college students who is having a reality tv show in his old house?
Should of went after Laurie's son after Resurrection. That would of made more sense and been a better storyline for the movie.

I'm sorry, that was bothering me.
And, yes, Michael should have gone after John. It would have been cool to see a sort of cross over between H20 and Halloween 6 that would have John meeting Tommy Doyle, Kara Strode and the two kids and having to deal with Michael. But alas...

Fresh Prince

Yeah but Micheal Myers not Jason. He do not kill people will invade his territory. He kills his family memebrs or stalks them.
And H20 was a reboot? Thought it was a Superman Returns like movie that just ignores 4-6 and continues from Part 2? And it was a good movie.
And no Resurrection should not have crossed over with Part 6, cause Part 6 was stupid. Tommy Doyle beat the crap out of Micheal at the end, to see that green or orange stuff, I forget what color, come out his head. Guess they took that part out of Halloween 3.

Rob and Sheri Moon Zombie hit Planet Hollywood (http://www.fangoria.com/features/halloween/3604-rob-and-sheri-moon-zombie-hit-planet-hollywood.html)
Want to see Planet Hollywood overrun with Zombies—well, two to be exact? This Tuesday, August 18, Planet Hollywood in Times Square (1540 Broadway at the corner of 45th Street) will host a special event with none other than the first couple of horror, Rob and Sheri Moon Zombie.
There to promote HALLOWEEN II, which arrives in theaters August 28, the couple will be donating a piece of memorabilia—a big, bloody butcher knife—to the dining room at 12:45 p.m., and would love to have as many fans as can fit there for the celebration. It promises to be a kick-ass time; watch for a signing to be announced at NYC’s Forbidden Planet store soon. Keep checking this site for further coverage of HALLOWEEN II, which you can also read about in Fango #286 (on sale now).

Honestly, I like the gritty looking Michael from RZH...I'm just not a fan of the hoodie.
That being said, I'm sure it is part of the story or he wouldn't be wearing it. Rob Zombie's Michael always likes to keep his face hidden. His mask is now shredded thanks to Laurie's gunshot, so he is presumably wearing a hooded coat to cover what the mask no long does.

Or would they? It is tied into these stories that the person Michael is stalking is scarred after meeting him.
Paul Rudd character in Halloween 6 (the produser cut) seemed pretty crazy in his own right, especially given Loomis' reaction to Tommy's Michael obsession/ shrine. And Laurie was provoked into violence in all versions, as was Jamie.

I just want to say that I'm glad Platinum Dunes didn't get the rights to make the Halloween remake.
All their remakes have either been hit or miss.
Amityville and The Hitcher blew chunks.
and while Friday and the two TCMS were good, I noticed that their formula for remaking these films is pretty cut and dry, copy and paste. Make the older film but increase the blood, gore, and sex was pretty much the motto of their remakes.
Looks to be the same with the admittedly promising Nightmare remake, but I'm just glad we didn't get a cut and dry remake of Halloween from Platinum Dunes and instead got something that was drastically different than John Carpenter's Halloween with increased sex and gore.

yes, the clown from IT scared me when I was kid also. And the episode about Bozo the clown from Are You Afraid of the Dark creeped me out too.
Another thing that creeps me out are life-like dolls. They are just so creepy looking. My grandmother made one for me when I was a baby and I always got scared of it. One time when I was 8 years old, my brother brought it up from the basement and placed it on my dresser so it was looking directly at me when I was in bed. I heard his footsteps as he left the room and I opened the light and there it was. The doll staring at me. I was frozen with terror. I think I even wet my bed...:csad:

First 'Halloween II' Clip Brings the Entire Myers Family Together Again
BD reader 'Adam P.' just tipped us off to a brand spanking new clip from Rob Zombie's Halloween II (http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/1612). "Rob Zombie did an interview on PIX 11 Morning News this morning and they showed anew short clip from Halloween II, thought you might be interested in." Damn straight! The clip features Deborah Myers (Sheri Moon) talking with Chase Wright Vanek (young Michael Myers) about the missing piece to their puzzle, Laurie Strode (Scout Taylor-Compton). It also appears to reveal what that creepy pumpkin was we saw in the background image released on the film's official website (http://www.halloween2-movie.com/). Myers returns to Haddonfield in just two short weeks on August 28th!

No, Bruce Campbell is not really a good actor but he is a very fun actor to watch a lot of the time. His popularity of course came from the Evil Dead films. I can't speak for everyone but the reason I'm a Campbell fan(aside from him playing the awesome/fun character Ash of course) is that he hams and cheeses it up in his films, which are B films so it works. He was in a very popular series of cult films and gained his own cult fan following from them.

However, I've learned not to trust trailers and I still have my reservations about this movie. I'm a big fan of the original Halloween and did not enjoy Zombie's remake all that much. If this was any other horror icon I'd probably pass on this movie, but since it is Micheal, I'm willing to give Zombie a second chance.

A Shocking Discovery in First Official 'Halloween II' Clip
Bloody Disgusting reader 'Thom B.' just posted us over to MSN who has the first official clip from Rob Zombie's Halloween II (http://www.bloody-disgusting.com/film/1612), which features Brea Grant and Scout Taylor-Compton's characters making a shocking discovery, before being attacked by Michael Myers (Tyler Mane). Dimension Films puts H2 up against The Final Destination on August 28th. In addition, the film has now officially been rated "R" for "strong brutal bloody violence throughout, terror, disturbing graphic images, language, and some crude sexual content and nudity." Read on for the video.

That clip looks edited to hell, but from the brief glimpse of Annie's corpse, I think I can safely say that Michael ****s her up big time. Shame, I liked her the most out of the remake three.

I can agree with that, and for how intense it was, it really didn't show anything gory/bloody.
I think the awesome editing and song used in that trailer makes the movie look more awesome than it should be.

Because the Weinsteins are stupid when it comes to promotion of something that doesn't have Quentin directing it...LOL good one. And still think it was a bad idea for them to go up against FD4. I know some might think those movies are stupid. but they got a big teen following plus its in 3D and the possible of a NOES teaser trailer might take over H2.

I absolutely hate the release date too. I think it should be released closer to Halloween for some strange reason.
At this point, I'm just waiting to hear people explode that have been getting ready to bash it. They have been waiting with legs crossed like a kid who has to pee. Just to show their hate because it's not what they deem worthy. I even heard some clown on another board say "how much better the Halloween remake would have been with a REAL director like Eli Roth doing it". Ugh...

Yeah, they should have put it in october.
The reason its in end of august is cause they said the first one did so well in that spot, they hope to do it again.
I was watching halloween 3 and 5 and for the trailers it says they were released in October.
Yeah, I know what you mean, their just getting ready to release and spew their venom all through out this thread. And these people prolly aren't even gonna see it and still say it sucks.

And to the Eli Roth Comment, I like the guy. But I don't think he thinks the Halloween movies, plus I know alot hate the guy. So many wouldn't say he should.
Surprised a few haven't said JC should do a remake.:o:hehe:

I wonder if his confirmation that with H2 and in the past he's been ****ed with when it comes to marketing will get some people to change their minds and check out the sequel if they liked that leaked trailer.

Yeah, that's also a big part of it. To be honest, I wouldn't be at all suprised if FD4 beats out H2 opening weekend. H2 would simply perform better in October, even if it was early October rather than closer to the holiday itself.
